Omg when I saw your first tail I almost cried! I've been making and remaking fabric tails for myself for years (someday I want to be able to afford or build a gorgeous custom one) but that first one looks exactly like my first attempt which was a pair of leggings sewn together with a pair of scuba flippers!
you're super talented! I enjoy drawing cartoons so I know what it's like to look back on something you made and be like "did i seriously used to be this bad at this?" but if u think about it, it really shows how much progress you made and makes u feel better in the long run. You're an amazing tail artist! Keep up the good work.
I got the third mermaid tail ever created by FinFun when I was I think, I think I was 6. I loved it now my dad just bought me my first silicone mermaid tail last night. I’m so excited to see it!!
Amazing!! So much history behind your creations! ❤️ love them all! I still only have the one but I’ve got the material to start my second... I need to get on that! 🤗 if only I had more time to devote to it!! Ugh! Real life problems haha 😆 Thanks for all of your devotion to us little fishies!! Love watching all the updates!!
And this is why I want to buy a tail from her someday. Just look at the quality and craftsmanship! What mermaid in her right mind WOULDN'T want a Courtney Mermaid tail!
I am going to start selling cookies so that I can save up for a Fin Fun tail bundle! Guess how much a tail skin, mono fin, and swimsuit costs altogether for me? 170 USD! I have a LOT of cookies to sell!
Love goldfish!! 🧡 I'd love to have a tail but being a bigger person it's hard to get plus size tails at a reasonable price especially in the UK. All your tails are so beautiful ❤🧜♀️ keep swimming! X
Thank you Courtney I’m getting a blue mermaid tail today it’s silicone and really it’s pretty I appreciate what you did thank you I love your videos so much
The tail you show at 12:04, do you make that for sale? If yes can it be customized a bit for the buyer? and how much would it cost with the right monofin?
@Courtney Mermaid Ok I am new to mermaiding what is the difference between monofin and flippers? And how did you put the extra fins a dorsal fin on, glue or sewn?Sorry for the dumb questions.
Too bad that there's two tails you didn't finish. I think they're really pretty ^^👌🏻💕 I'd name the first one of them "Guppy", because its bright colors really remind me of a little guppy, while I'd name the second one "Ursula", since its violet color and more spikey design reminds me a lot of Ursula from The little Mermaid 😂😋🧜🏻♀️
Can swimming with an open footed mermaid tail enough to swim with a fabric tail? Ive started swimming more in my “tail” that has no monofin closing at the end where its supposed to go. (The fin is exposing feet i mean) ive swam in it for a few days and its pretty easy for me except the water in my nose and the pool i have is 4feet deep😂 too shallow.
Those are awesome! Right now I have a Barracuda Black tail from FinFun and I want to learn to make a tail but I don’t know 🤷♂️ nothin but your awesome!
I'm just sitting here like how?? how tf? I bought a fabric tail from I believe finfun and the plastic monofin broke after not even 2 minutes, decided to remake it with the same kind of plastic I had lying around and it broke again, eventually decided it wasn't worth it and gifted the fabric to a friend of mine who was planning to buy a small monofin. Meanwhile, I bought myself a sturdy monofin and I love using it, sadly due to personal reasons I haven't gone swimming in 3 or 4 years and it's kind of killing me tbh. I've been on and off-board for the past 6 or so years, debating whether I should buy a silicone tail cause I really want one but the cheapest I've found so far is from mertailor and would cost me 1350 dollars without shipping (i live in Belgium). This along with the fact that I'm a guy has been stopping me from buying it even though I could technically afford it if I save up for a few months. I'm still doubting.
In my opinion just go for it if you’re a confident swimmer and are able to afford one with you own money it’s totally worth it, if you want a cheaper alternative try marrow fins (not sure if I slept that right) it’s much cheaper and their basic silicone tail costs 600$ USD 812$ CAD. Not sure if it ships go Belgium though 😕
I'm curious to see how you got your scales so similar to each other if you have a video that has that detail I would love to know as I'm currently filtering through all your videos on tailmaking and haven't come across it just yet xD
Im new hear , been binge watching all your videos! Ur beautiful and so are your tails? Wow just wow. Do u sell ur tails or make to order ? Just asking ? Ty for all ur amazing vids
I really love your tails! I only have one but my dad is saving up to buy me another one! If you don't mind me asking? But where do you sell your tails on like, what website?
Thank you! I sell my tails on ShopVancouverMermaid.com but I have recently sold out of slots for new tails. I am hoping to reopen for more custom slots again over the summer.

hello, i hope you don’t mind me asking. where do you get you’re fabric printed? i’ve looked everywhere and i can’t find a place that will print on spandex fabric.
Quite curious. What company do you go to to print the designs onto the fabric? I'm not sure if you want to disclose that or not. But I would live to design my own in Photoshop and make it myself, it would be quite lovely. If you are okay with telling others I would be greatful if you could reply to this and tell me
you should do a swimming in all of my mermaid tails video like if you agree!

Okay, I think I will get that one instead. Thanks!

Blossomness Studios FinFun are the best quality!! They don’t rip like other tails too! (I have one)

Too bad that there's two tails you didn't finish. I think they're really pretty ^^👌🏻💕
I'd name the first one of them "Guppy", because its bright colors really remind me of a little guppy, while I'd name the second one "Ursula", since its violet color and more spikey design reminds me a lot of Ursula from The little Mermaid 😂😋🧜🏻♀️
If only I was as talented as u! And also wish I had something as amazing as those tails!
That unfinished purple made my jaw drop. That's my favorite color and where you seemed to be going with it, it would have been amazing!
Can swimming with an open footed mermaid tail enough to swim with a fabric tail? Ive started swimming more in my “tail” that has no monofin closing at the end where its supposed to go. What do you use to attach the sequins so they don’t fall off in the water? And what type of paint did you use for the painted ones?
Permaset Aqua and Lumiere fabric paints. E6000 glue for holding on the sequins.
What kind of fabric is the best to make a mermaid tail and how expensive is it?🙃 And how do you hand paint it!!!??? What paint do you use!!??

I’m currently making my own silicone tail now because it was a much cheaper option.
I didn't realize how tall you were until seeing how long the tails were! (That's a compliment btw 😂)
I'm curious to see how you got your scales so similar to each other if you have a video that has that detail I would love to know as I'm currently filtering through all your videos on tailmaking and haven't come across it just yet xD
Your channel is very educational and you are such a sweet person good luck for the future of your channel ^^
For the painted tails I use a stencil. In Photoshop I make one and copy and paste it.
@@CourtneyMermaid okay thank you so much for this it'll help a lot 💜
Hi, I have tails but I want to start trying to make some of my own tails, how would you suggest to pain on the tails? Is it just fabric paint? Thanks
Be sure to check out my tail making playlist for all of the details on how to do it. ;)
Do you prefer Spandex or Neoprene tails?
did u make all those tails???
How do you deal with the sequins on the but? 😄 I mean don’t they rip off if you slide into a pool from a sitting position or something?
I am very careful, I move slowly and I never sit on rough surfaces if I can avoid them.
I want to handmade a tail, can you advise me about what kind of painting I have to use for the scales? I loved yours

Thank you! The name is just for the tail, I am always Courtney Mermaid. I name them like artists sometimes name their art because to me, each tail is a piece of my artwork.
Thanks! XD
hello, i hope you don’t mind me asking. where do you get you’re fabric printed? i’ve looked everywhere and i can’t find a place that will print on spandex fabric.
Courtney never told where but the method is called sublimation printing.
Wow! You are so talented.
Do you have a favourite? And are you working on any new ones? - If so, what are the colour schemes? :)
Do you make and paint these mermaid tails yourself? And, do you have a video on how to make a "Making your first mermaid tale" video?
Did she make All of these?
You should definitely finish that purple one and while you're at it can you make a video of it if you do
Quite curious.
What company do you go to to print the designs onto the fabric?
I'm not sure if you want to disclose that or not. But I would live to design my own in Photoshop and make it myself, it would be quite lovely.
If you are okay with telling others I would be greatful if you could reply to this and tell me
You need to look up sublimation printing in your area. There are companies that do it online as well. :)
This video is great but could you make a video on how you print/paint tails thank you!
