Oh man an infinite stream of creativity beauty and love. Its so great it isnt even about technique or style anymore its even moved beyond that. God just turns on the spigot and out of the horn it comes! And it's unbelievable how through the years it just keeps getting better and better. Long live Sonny!
Rollins and Getz Two giants of creativity . They made the world a happier place.
Greatness! It is a pity he can’t play anymore. I hope he’s happy in his new life.
I saw Rollins at Massey Hall with Al Foster on drums. He delivered a year’s worth of Jazz in a couple of hours. I prefer Rollins to Trane-generally speaking. Rollins is as sweet as Tupelo Honey. He doesn’t need to warm up because he’s always got sunlight in his belly.
Horizonless Musical Brilliance Unrestrained!
Sonny Rollins: An All-Time Heavyweight of Tenor Men
I am speechless in awe. What a Master musician and artist. Mr. Sonny Rollins..what a inspiring person.
That "I Should Care" hit a spot and had me weeping like a baby.
International treasure. He don’t know no let-up. Brilliant. Thanks for posting.
Awesome. Long Ago And Far Away, maybe trading fours' world record, without being repetitive nor boring at all, and no bragging. Just joy. The definitive lesson about motivic and conversational improvisation. Hypnotic.!
A Master of his Art, reaching new heights continuously, and offering it to his audience. Such love and joy.
His music has accompanied me for more than forty years.
unbelievable! Both techniques and improvisational ideas!
Nobody could blow a ballad like Sonny. Depth of feeling, on and on
I SHOULD CARE is a popular song by A.Stordhal/P.Weston/Sammy Cohn
SONNY. Eu te amo. Vida longa.
Genius of the saxophone 🎷 Sonny!
It's a lot of W.I. soul in this Master of the tenorsax.
