Wow! I must applaud you on choosing such scenic routes. Not only the incredible landscape, but it was the towns you past through with the varied architecture. I began to imagine I was riding along in a mininature model railroad lay-out, even with the red HO scale trains! Thank you again for sharing such a pleasant ride.
This part of the road trip had indeed a lot of varied landscape and town architecture, one moment you are crossing a railway and then back to going up a steep small road.
The shifting road after Tiefencastel has the appearance of a modern build, there are no facilities for travelers other then by motor driven cars, etc.. This could be from the Cold War era of fortress Switzerland. I assume there is a less easy to use and older road up the valley which connects settlements and farms?
From what I can tell looking at Google Maps, yes, there is an older road higher up the mountainside that connects small towns and farms. It would have been a great road to drive over as well.
Super trip 🚙👌

Great to hear you liked the trip!
A great drive, with lots of different views around each curve. I love seeing the mountain wearing its necklace of clouds. 😀
Distant Clouds and mountains always make for a spectacular view!
