Listened 6/17/2023 while doing chores. I love these Old Time Radio shoes reminiscent of the Golden Age of Radio before Television in most homes. Good acting, simple sound effects, some actors voicing multiple characters. Great entertainment back then and today in 2023!
I am 71yrs of age ,, my older brother and I listened to these on an old radio our Grandma gave us .. We would turn the lights out and sit by the light of the oil stove in our frontroom . Mama would make us a large cup of hot cocoa with toast made from home made bread to dunk into it . Without a doubt , it was one of the highlights of my childhood . Thank You Sir !!
Another gripping episode. Thank you! I always put earphones on & do my housework while enjoying episode after episode of Radio Mystery Theater, each episode is EXCELLENT!!!
I love these old radio shows, esp. Late at night when l can t sleep. They hearken back to a time before television when there was still something left to the imagination when the listener still had to visualize the characters and action. These programs are still relevant and timeless today as much as then. I love timeless things and people that stand out, apart from the masses. Keep em coming. They are awesome.
I second that motion too!! I simply love these stories and being from England had never heard of them but thanks to you tube and to chilly sunshine for taking his time to upload them and also the info he adds to the uploads!! My favourite voice actor is Richard Dryden and Ralph Bell too.

Mystery Theater was an event in our house. My siblings and I would sit on the floor around the radio hanging on to every word. Such an awesome memory for me
Winter nights...the time for ghost stories and fantasy! Perhaps two radio play ghost stories I’ve produced AND a brand new mystery listed on my channel “Claude Chabot Presents” right here on YT AND a radio fantasy comedy, “A Trip to the Moon” starring Joyce Randolph of The Honeymooners, which features Larry Robinson, who, as a child actor, actually worked with Orson Welles. Here’s the link: th-cam.com/video/Hex2ltykNTM/w-d-xo.html--Claud. If you don’t want to click the link just search “Claude Chabot presents” on TH-cam.

I was listening to another CHANNEL of these same old stories, but there were so many commercials I just deleted it . So THANK YOU FOR ALL THE hard wk of editing out those nasty things....💙😻
So true. There have been audiobooks I've listened to where I visualized every scene as if I were actually watching it as a movie. The funny thing is, when I actually saw the movie, I'd say to myself, I could've sworn this movie was different the last time I watched it. It took this happening several times before I realized that I hadn't actually EVER seen it, lol. I visualized it so clearly listening to it, that I remembered the scenery and characters as if I had actually watched it, instead of listening to it.
Great story! Funny thing, my TV crashed, and I have just refound these stories that I use to listen too. Might be hard to go back to mind numbing tv crap.
What the Hell? at 2:50 the old guy says you're talking about my daughter the young guys Mother, and the young guy calls him uncle, and not Grandfather. Creepy factor Very High. Hell it over 9000! Yeah I know it's an old meme. But so fitting LoL

SPOILER ALERT!!! The ages don't make sense. The main guy is young, young enough to still be able to enlist a few years later. How is the old woman his mother? Assuming his dad didn't cheat with a 45 year old, the bio mom should be under 50.

Excellent review
I wish Chilly Sunshine was still here to see the community of love, that they left behind. ❣️💜❣️💜❣️. Alas, Chilly left us 5 years ago.... 💔💕
This one is sooo well written. CBSRMT is one of the best part of my childhood returned...
I love all the old time radio shows thanks to all for sharing❤️❤️

Will do!
The only "simpler times" are the ones in our own minds.
@Michael Marek ; 40 years before this air date was the beginning of WWII.

BlaqkDymond Inc, had it only been “the June 2020 Pandemic.” At this rate, at least in the U.S., it’s going to be _at least_ the “2020 Pandemic.”
When the imagination was required!! We are part of the story!!
A beautiful, touching, well written story!
I listened to these shows as a kid. love listening to these old time radio shows.
love these so much.. when i was growing up i would listen to these on my radio before i went to sleep
Me too 😉 I was so mesmerized by these old radio shows. I my love hearing these till the day I go to God's land.
As did I...and now in my later years I'm privileged enough to do it again...
Kristi Connor, I would listen to these rather than going to sleep.
Me too! Listened to these every night, in fact CBSMR was interrupted the night John Lennon was shot. It was a moment that I'll never forget.

Great memory. If you get a chance, watch the old Woody Allen movie Radio Days.
I ADORE this story! So sad, yet so happy at the end.
I hope this site would continue! These are quite wonderful for the brain!

The commercials help root them in their original time.

He used "gay" as a term for happy, guys guys, I think this is old😂
They were produced back in the 70s.
Gay means happy and carefree. Its current description is only slang and screwed up.
