I saw someone talking about why parry doesn't work when the opponent drive rushes in. The screen freeze doesn't allow parry inputs. I think there are other options but it also messes up special move inputs so it's something we should be aware of and lab around.
@@Pzychotixif I remember the video about it correctly, with classic parry input you get priority mk when trying to perfect parry (as opposed to getting nothing with modern) and probably get blown up. Not sure what it means for holding parry rather than tapping it though.
Use jmp to deal with float when he is above your portal. It has great range. Saw one of the Japanese players use it before and it has made this matchup easier to deal with. I also use air throw against teleport a lot so I don’t have to wonder about it not landing.
Yo man , new to fighting games unless you count smash bros , should I main Dhalsim JP or Deejay? Might play them all but which one should I learn first? I like SIM but I think because he was so good in SF5 , he isn’t as good in this game, seems to require more effort but does seems yoshimitsu-esk, kinda liking JP looks really cool and good all around, and seems like a better zoner than Sim, I like Deejays aesthetic and I think I could like him more maybe if I learned some combos , but idk JPs supers seems more badass, and Sims are alright but his level 2 seems easily dodge-able , like you can just crouch it or grab on it, it can be used as a “get off me move” but doesn’t seem as reliable, sorry for long message btw, got no SF6 buds yet , I had SF4 as kid but never got inspired to get good or really learn combos till now , I tried to play some Yoshimitsu and Akuma in tekken , but didn’t get very far , trying to learn and pickup SF6 but I’ve been too busy IRL to practice yet, and was waiting till I got my Hori fighter commander octo controller till I wanted to really start practicing since I started with an Xbox controller…anybody got some advice? Kinda into them in this order , SIM (since resembles yoshimitsu maybe) JP (Seems badass cool supers and aesthetic) and then Deejay (like reggae aesthetic just not sure about playstyle) also was thinking about Ken since I played him in Smash bros ultimate. , but seems really mainstream and OP
Do you prefer stick to hitbox? I only ask as your waiting till after Evo to try sf6 on hitbox. Is this because although you say the hitbox is superior you just prefer to play on stick. I only ask this question as I think it's important that people don't just change the peripheral because statistical it's better. There's a lot to be said for comfort and preference.

It doesn't allow you to buffer input a tap for a parry, but if you hold it, you'll still get a parry.

Drive impact should take 3 bars. Somebody shouldn’t have 6 opportunities to drive impact me in the first 15 seconds of the match. It’s ridiculous.
If you counter drive impact them back and do a proper combo they won't lol they'll die
