So great to see parents raising kids to be aware of the difference between a real apology and an attempt to save oneself, and great to see the kids are aware of political situations. Knowledge is power. Sing on, Marsh family!
"I'm sorry you were upset, but..." is pretty much guaranteed to *make* people feel bad when they're *not* feeling bad already and were only trying to ask questions and get answers. If they're *already* feeling bad *before* someone says that, well, they probably feel worse now. It's also sort of a cop-out and indicates that there (supposedly) really was nothing to be at all upset about. It should only be used when/if someone is either acting like a toddler having a tantrum, or is already pulling the "I'm sorry you feel bad" card on you (especially when you don't even particularly feel bad *until* then). In either of *those* cases, then "I'm sorry *you* feel that way" is perfectly appropriate and may even be the *only* suitable answer under the circumstances. In any *other* circumstances that I can think of, that sort of answer should very definitely be avoided.
Amazing that this is still relevant, as the government delays and delays the full publication of this report ... I still absolutely love Ella's surly acting, and her sudden transition into sickly sweet confidence in Sue Gray. Comic gold and brilliant political satire.
Bravo! I think for a family to have been the face of "Britain keeping a stiff upper lip and making the best of a bad time" - then to be let down so terribly from the top - your "reply" is VERY controlled and restrained, all things considered. Well done.
Your harmonies are wonderful. Your children are learning so well from u both. Love you ALL to bits and your lovely Husky who wants to join in. Let him. It is wonderful that he reacts to all your love in the room. Xxxx

Spot-on, thank you. It’s important that children understand what’s going on around them, the horrendous behaviour of the govt, affects their future too. 🌹
Hilarious and on point. As you’ve demonstrated, this lot in power are a parody of themselves, but once again you’ve made a very entertaining song. Thank you Marsh Family.

Why shouldn't kids sing about politics? They have to live with their consequences too. So they have the same right to complain about shitty ones. As a teacher I always encourage my students to concern themselves with what our leaders do and to voice their approval or disapproval.
💞 My 27year old son died March 2020 💔, I appreciate this song and the thought your family has put into it. Love your other stuff too, rings so true. As an American I can only wish you were Americans too. I'd love to see what you would do with American politics and civil and social life today. Come to think of it though, the US situation might tax even your talents and ability to find the funny bits. Your family's videos have brought some light and smiles into the pandemic world and I can see your family talent marches on. Thanks!
I've watched your brilliant witty clever songs for the last two years - often pulled between laughing and tears. And yes this one did make me raise a slight eyebrow - bringing children into politics. But then I read your thoughtful considered statement - and I couldn't agree with you more. After all, they're not babies and they too will have to live with the consequences of the current situation. As you say, it's standards that concern you. Please don't stop until you want to - I think you're all amazing. With love xx

For now you bring big smiles on my face and good vibrations in my (old) heart !!! Chapeau ! P.S.: absolute compliments for your close harmony singing ! You could be "professional singers" ! All of you ! I love your voices !
Excellent! And there must be heaps of Gilbert and Sullivan songs just dying to be updated .....
Agree with the Marsh Family totally a great song indeed !!!xx
Oh My Gosh! I am smiling so hard! That was absolutely brilliant! Like Gilbert and Sullivan, Cole porter/Young, Flanders and Swan, and other great (song) writers of satirical ditties about the ridiculous ! (Of which I am a fan, can you tell?)
This is now my absolute favourite! Bravo!!
I am sat here watching sky news, and can’t believe what is happening in our government right now over the last day. Can we have your thoughts on this chaos please Marsh family? Should Boris finally do the decent thing and walk? Where do we go from here now that we have 38 resignations at present?
Brilliant , thank you, not only did you give me a huge smile but you got it spot on
Brilliant as ever-I'm glad you ventured into political satire, with the state of British politics there is an endless amount for you to mine there (perhaps some of the Les Mis songs would lend themselves to similar treatment)....
This is just amazing on every level. Keep going, you are all so talented!
I'm not well ( again ) for laughing. This is brilliant! Especially when the boys done a close-up on camera!! The kids have grew so much!!
I’ve loved your work from the beginning but wow! You’ve really nailed it this time. Time to put my money where my mouth is. Thank you for depressingly making my day.
Gosh, this is the most British thing I have ever seen in my entire life! 😂
This should be our new 21st century anthem. ...just can't believe it doesn't have more views!
Amazing and soooo spot on! Thanks for making an insomniac night pass! Love all your stuff xx
Wow brilliant in so many ways. Possibly the best yet. Thank The Marsh Family.
The chorus of this song goes through my mind 24/7. I either sing it out loud or to myself in the style of the two girls. I love all your videos but it is driving me slightly more crazy than normal.
Thank you for all your output, amazing family. ❤
As always.... LOVE IT, LOVE IT LOVE IT...🤣 ITS ABSOLUTELY PRICELESS!
FUNNY BUT TO THE POINT.
What a shame Matt Hancock caused the removal of all the HIDDEN CAMERAS in the building.
We could have all virtually attended the parties too🤣
Then we could have all been witnesses and wouldn't have needed to rely on sue grays enquiry. 😆
But.... joking aside, you have made a fantastic song to sum up the News of today.
You are all so Talented. Even if they had karaoke at these parties, none of them would have Topped you guys. Your songs are awesome.
I love watching all your songs.....i watch them, time and time again.
Please dont ever stop making them. You cheer me up when I'm feeling down.
You are the best family singers ever.
PERFECT ROLE MODELS.
THANK YOU FOR BEING THERE FOR SO MANY OF US.
I think you are a brilliant family. Again, you nailed it. You deserve a larger audience. Thank you.
Wow! This needs to be shared everywhere!
Absolutely amazing! I’m gonna be singing that in my head all day now. You need to get a version on to TikTok ASAP. Also props for getting that original song out so quickly! Thoroughly enjoyed. Keep shining. 😊
You are just too much fun, gorgeous family!🙋♀️❤☘⚘🎵
I'm loving this song, it really says it all.
Its also an earworm, thank you for writing and performing it.
Just reading the comments I believe that our children have to be aware of what government is doing.Their lives have been affected as much as any adult.Knowledge is power
Just brilliant. I'm weeping with laughter at your wit, and anger and sadness at our leaders.
Bang on the 💰💸💰! Brilliant! I wouldn't be surprised if you're are invited to be on HRH's Royal Variety Show. You are all SUPERB!!!
