Yes. Part of history now. In old days when whole NER and NFR were MG, this train and Guwahati-Lucknow Jn Awadh Tirhut Mail used to have rake sharing. They used to have distinct livery. There used to be special instructions to LJN coaching depot that coaches of these two trains must not be attached to any other trains

I had an opportunity to board this beautiful legendary meter gauge train from Lucknow to Kathgodam for Nainital tour in 1986.

From Lucknow to Kathgodam before that . I, along my wife and baby son, boarded in 1985/86.
If you had a baby son at that time, then I'm as old as your son! Of course, there was almost 2000 kilometres distance between us at that moment.
