Luke. Watching you getting upset after saying goodbye to your mum. Made me cry too . I love how you are so real on your chanel. Your mum is amazing and as always this was a wonderful vlog . X
Luke, this was such a sweet touching video. I am 48 and lost my father one year ago this coming March. It has really humbled me about the time we have on this earth to spend with those we hold dear. It has also taught me to let go of things that are negative, and cherish any and all time I have with my loved ones. I have always choked up over saying goodbye, and even now more so. Thank you for sharing this lovely video of the special relationship you have with your Mom. Take care and God Bless you all. 💙
Luke you look just like your mum. I love that you are emotional when you leave her... it shows how much you love her. I have lost both of my parents and I cherish the memories I have of them. Make the most of every second you have with those you love. Sending you love and a big hug. Lisa xxxx
I feel exactly the same Luke when I say goodbye to my Mum and Dad. I am originally from the North East and came down to Surrey 20 years ago and I STILL miss them so much and wished we had ‘time travel’ so I could see them more often. My sister lives in York and in an ideal world, I would love to live there too. I had tears in my eyes when I saw how upset you were after saying goodbye to your Mum. I hope my son turns out to be as lovely as you are. X
I know what you mean about time travel…The last time I was in York was with my mam, she’d just been diagnosed with lung and bone cancer.. we had a lovely day but watching this was bittersweet. It is 4 years next week since we lost her. Hold on to those memories and make the most of being with your mam.. ( from Hamsterley Forest village )♥️♥️Ps my favourite music is classical I listen to Classic FM

Your mom telling her dog to leave the sticks and the sticks all stuffed in her mouth was the cutest! Hahaha It’s always a pleasure to watch your videos. ❤
I have travelled all over the world and I would say York will always have a soft spot in my heart. It is safe, clean, a mix of history and modern. Love it.
Luke as a mum with a 27-year-old daughter who lives 100 miles away from me. Please believe me it never gets any easier for a Mama Bear either. All we can do is cherish the time that we have together and every time we see our loved ones hugged them little bit longer. Thank you for a lovely stroll around York. I’ve never been myself but it looks lovely so might just put it on my bucket list

I just recently added pictures to my screen saver from our 4 month visit to England in 2016. I had a picture of The Earl Grey Tea Shop and for the life of me couldn't remember where I had taken it. Then today, as I watched this video, there you were walking right by it! We were very surprised by York. It ended up being one of our favorite places to have visited. Luke I cried tears with you, the last time I saw my wee mammy was 21/06/2008 a day after my wedding she didn’t come as she wasn’t very well, we brought her my bouquet to dry, videos and photos of our day, I left my home the morning of the wedding and then left my mammy’s home for the last time a Miss H & next time would be Mrs L. We did want to get married on mums birthday but it was a leap year so we went for 20th June abd her birthday was the 22nd, we gave her her birthday gifts and she opened them which is something my mum never ever ever did & I knew something was brewing but not what, mums old camera was out and photos taken, I hugged her and told her I would ring when we landed and I did, I rang her 3 times on the Sunday which was my usual holiday tradition because she wanted to know everything that we did everyday, she says she saw the world because of us and lived it with us. I called on the Monday and no answer, hmm mums living room was her bedrrom so bed, small table with phone, her comfy chair then commode, tried agin 10 mins later and then eventually rang my siblings and mum had been admitted to hospital on the monday and it’s where she should have been the week before but didn’t want to ruin our wedding. She told my siblings not to tell me but it was a bit obvious and she made me promise not to come home, we were away for a month. Mum died 28/06/2008 abd her funeral was 04/07/2008 Our wedding is always celebrated but the loss of my mum was the hardest thing I have ever had to deal with and I have one photograph of her and I together from when I was 5 and I’m now 52. I don’t know if you believe in this stuff but all I’ve wanted was a little boy with curls and I couldn’t have children but my stepson & wife have given us 4 amazing grandchildren 3 girls and 1 boy and my grandson was born 7 years to the minute that my mum died & he was a boy with curls he was just the cutest little dude. With this huge mop of long curls. It gets harder the distance between our parents, I lost my daddy when I was 9 and mum never dated or remarried, I am the youngest of 5 by 18-12yrs. Your emotions for your mam were not lost on me. You’re a good Lad Luke, please never change. Hugs, sniffs & licks from Stanley ( profile phots) to Miss Magatha Moo 🐾🐾🐾🐾 & of course to the beautiful Ivy 🩷🩷💙🐾🐾
It is so lovely to see you and your mum have a special time together in London making precious memories. The bond between is so so wonderful. I was in tears with you who you were back in your car after saying good bye. But like you say you will see her in a few weeks really when she comes to help you in your house. Take care love to you your mum and Zara xx Xx

Lovely to see your mum , she’s a lovely lady! I live in Australia, my husband comes from Castleford and when we visit we always go to York , it is the most beautiful place xxxx

Loved this wholesome vlog. I feel the same as you- I’m 26, live in York & my family is just over 3hrs away. The distance feels hard to me when I realise how planned things are, I wish I could just pop round for an hour for a cuppa ☕️
I love a rummage round the charity shops on Goodramgate too. Glad it stopped raining for you for a while. I’ve never known such a wet winter.
So lovely to see your beautiful Mum xx

Nice to be able to spend a bit of time with your mom. Looked it was, as you say, short, but lovely. Doesn't matter how the biscuit looks, it's how it tastes! And I haven't met a cookie I didn't like!
Ahh your mum is the best,❤
I live in the States and have visited York a few times. In 2018 my daughter was married in the Catholic church near the Minster! You are correct, it’s a beautiful city!

Mum died 28/06/2008 abd her funeral was 04/07/2008
Our wedding is always celebrated but the loss of my mum was the hardest thing I have ever had to deal with and I have one photograph of her and I together from when I was 5 and I’m now 52.
I am so so sorry for your loss. Thank you so much for such a heartfelt comment, that can’t have been easy to share❤️
It is so lovely to see you and your mum have a special time together in London making precious memories.
The bond between is so so wonderful.
I was in tears with you who you were back in your car after saying good bye.
But like you say you will see her in a few weeks really when she comes to help you in your house.
Take care love to you your mum and Zara xx
Xx

That was lovely Luke, I miss my Mom so much. I would love to attend one of those classes at the biscuit shop, unfortunately it would be a long commute from Canada! I had no idea that York was so quaint, and your Mom is a wonderful addition to your vlogs.

Hey Luke, I just watched your video. I just moved 2 days ago, Feb. 12th, to a larger apartment and loving it. I've had a few trials in this move like brand new purchased washer/dryer on the frizz. You look so much like your mom, especially your smile. You'll have a good time with your family in March! Happy Valentine's Day! VG
