    I made the Zadie for my daughter out of linen and she loved it! She wore it plenty, then surprisingly found she was able to wear her jumpsuit into mid-pregnancy and after the baby was born too ! She also received a lot of compliments, so all in all I call that make a major win ! Yours is so beautiful with the viscose challis print. That type fabric may be the next Zadie for me.

    The jumpsuit looks great on you and such pretty spring colors. I’ll be in my sewing a lot this weekend as we got a Coastal storm coming along the S.E. Coast. Just going to open the blinds to watch the rain & wind, turn on the radio,and enjoy my time in the sewing room.

    I keep looking at the Zadie jumpsuit. Your version and appreciation for the panel may spur me on to try it. My only pause is that I am over 70 so not yet sure ... but time keeps ticking -- and I should just do it!!!

    Beautiful jumpsuit, the fabric drapes nicely! I agree about having to go to the bathroom and undressing, but boy would this make a great summer travel outfit.

    Cute jumpsuit, I really like the fabric. On a separate subject, I suggest bringing your own water bottle with you to Italy because what is so cool is that there are these natural sources of drinking water all over the place where you can just fill your bottle up for free.

      Yes, those fountains of natural spring water are so accessible. Tastes yummy too 😂

    I made the zadie in a black linen (with the sleeves extension but shortened to somewhere around my elbow) and it’s very comfortable and glam at the same time. Bit museum / art gallery/ I work in the Arts vibe 😊❤ wear it heaps

    I've made the Zadie twice in twill and linen. I wear mine to the office and also didn't want the usual jumpsuit restroom problems. So for my 3rd one, I cut it into a top and pants. I added a peplum that extended the wrap lines on the top. I also added an elastic waist to the pants and kept the pockets. It looks the same as the jumpsuit without the hassle of undressing. Try it.

    Absolutely adorable! I’d much rather see a lady I this as opposed to a short dress, especially at church! Fabric is lovely! 😊

    I love your jumpsuit and it looks very comfortable. It's just the undressing thing that puts me off jumpsuits. That fabric is gorgeous, too. I also like Minerva's exclusives; I am making a top from one of their rayons today, although this one has pulled threads very easily, even using a new 70/10 needle and with new 80/12 needles in my serger. I need some Fabrico Pens! I have used Minerva exclusive sweater knits and they are also brilliant to work with. I really like the Sabrina Slims, too. I made two pairs recently during your fitting course and love them. There will be more.

    This looks so good Whitney we'll done. I tried to alter the bodice on a linen blend zadie and got in a real pickle. I have it in my refashion pile!

    Love the fabric, and the pattern, looks wonderful! This is very timely as I had held off making the Zaide because of similar concerns, but I found some mustard colored linen in my stash that I had gotten for my daughter-in-law, and was more than 3 m! So will have to make it, just like the outfit on the website! She was very excited

    I’ve been eyeing up the zadie for a while but I think I’m going to buy it this weekend. I am currently making the burnside bibs. If you made the zadie jumpsuit in a linen mix or cotton lawn would you shorten the bodice? The viscose is more forgiving for a slightly longer bodice. I think it looks wonderful on you by the way and is great for the summer as I find dresses can be too much sometimes.

    • @TomKatStitchery
      @TomKatStitchery  ปีที่แล้ว

      If you choose to shorten, just go minimal increments to find the right fit.

    Love that jumpsuit on you!! I did purchase the pattern a while back-- you've inspired me to make it up, as soon as my knee heals!!
    Beautiful fabric, also. Is it possible to still get the "kit"??
    Thank you! :+)

      Thank you! You can still get the kit. You can still click on the Minerva post and then click "add all to cart" under my post to get the kit!

    Beautiful jumpsuit! Do you have a new tag? I have a few as well. It all depends on what I am making. I do still use “However, I Sew!” for my fun stuff. (And upcycles).

    Do the ties both wrap around the back, then cross in front? Can't feature how the tie ends up on the left of wearer.

    • @TomKatStitchery
      @TomKatStitchery  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, that's how they go, I just made a length to tie at the sides.
