Hi there, Capt. Gingerbeard. Have been watching your channel for quite some time. Enjoy it very much. Just want to know where kayakers launch in Simonstown. When do the mackerel and squid bite there. How do you attach your paddles to the double kayak (Fluid). Appreciated.
Yo wazzup Beau Just use bungee cord with two loops on either end. One has a carabiner that clips to the kayak which is looped through the other loop around the paddle (then clipped onto the kayak) As for Simonstown the launch spot is called Long Beach. And as for the mackerel and squid, you'd have to go out and find out bud. The seasons have been a bit weird and the usual mackerel run is not here (yet??) Don't wait for fishing reports, rather go out and make your own. Cheers bugger

Spent most of my younger days fishing there with my dad. Growing up in Rondebosch, we fished at Hout Bay and Simonstown...many moons ago. Anyway, my friend...as they say in Afrikaans, "Stywelyne'.
