    10:03: Yomp Summary
The Cateran Yomp, the Allied Forces Foundation signature event, is a multi-day trip that is centered on a Yomp in the Scottish Highlands. YOMP, a British term for a long-distance march carrying full kit, is an endurance event that challenges team members to complete 22, 36.5, or 54 miles across harsh terrain in only 24 hours. This mission offers a type of challenge that many of the AFF Veterans have not experienced since combat. Participating in the Yomp restores self-confidence and provides enhanced motivation for recovery and rehabilitation. Uniting with other wounded, ill, or injured Veterans during the Yomp builds relationships that foster support, encouragement, and empowerment. The lengthy event provides the chance to share stories and advice as they fight together for recovery. Veterans from Australia, Canada, Denmark, France, Georgia, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Spain, Ukraine, United Kingdom, and United States will participate side by side with their British counterparts, known collectively as Team AFF. In addition to the Yomp, Team AFF enjoys cultural visits whilst in Scotland, as well as the fun of learning the skills needed to enter a Highland Games.
If you are a wounded, ill, or injured service person or veteran, interested in becoming a participant with Team AFF, please contact cy@alliedforcesfoundation.org
