Hey Justin! Please don’t make us wait for the next global shutdown for more videos! Your first few were awesome. Hope all is well and that you’ll be continuing the content. Thanks!
Great videos. I've introduced this excellent game to friends and family here in Britain and people love it.Wish it was better known world wide, it deserves to be.
Can you do a video on angles and aiming for how to get control? In other words what is best angle to hit at or other technique to insure best chance the disc ends up where you want it. Great videos!
New to this this Christmas! Love it! I've been looking for a channel like this and I am so excited that you started the vids!!! PLEASE keep them coming!!!
He must really be putting in work on the ricochet 20 video since it has been over a year haha. Too bad these videos stopped. Really great tutorials and well spoken by a world champion player. Hope he is doing well.
Great video on some strategies! I’m a new player and really like the game. Your video on how to hold and flick the disc was excellent . My husband is a terrific player so I have my work cut out for me.
can you please do a video on what your practice routine is when your by yourself? like how do i get better at crokinole without having someone else to play with
I've been hooked on your Crokinole Tournament videos the last several days. So much so I just bought a $350 board from the Crokinal Canada website, I am so excited to start playing. My mom used to play with her grandmother and she said they would play until their fingers hurt 😂I will try to keep up the tradition, haha. Hope to keep seeing more videos from you!
Hey! I subbed to you a while ago when you did the AMA on Charlie`s channel. I`m glad you`re uploading videos now! Thanks for the tips on the game, and I still think you are pretty cute, lol.
Oh! What Would Justin Do? Now I will know and practice it! What better than this? 🙌🏻👌🏼 Keep those videos coming Justin it is amazing! Hope someday I could try out at tournaments and maybe have a game against you! 😱🤟🏼 🤞🏼 Be safe and thanks for this! Couldn’t hope for best teacher!
Just recently watched your 2018 world championship match against Jon Conrad, where you made that comeback from being down 4-0 to winning 6-4 with a "perfect" game 5. thrilling stuff. I assume the 2020 championship was canceled due to Covid? Anyway keep up the good work my dude
That match took a couple years off my life but was definitely worth it. Yeah 2020 championship was cancelled, not sure what the plan will be for 2021 but I imagine it will be the same.
Question about ricochet 20, well more about aiming them. From my pool background, there are basically three shots, the follow, stun, and draw shot. Quick rules for visualizing the angle of trajectory of the ball are: 30 degrees for a follow shot, 90 degrees or tangent for a stun shot, and draw is mostly by feel. Now I don’t think I can do a draw shot in crok. Do these follow and stun shots have their analogous shots in crokinole?
Next vid will be about a quick and easy way to visualize ricochet shots. The short answer is that discs will deflect at about 90 degrees (a little less since the discs are perfectly hard), and you can change this angle using power. The major difference between pool and crokinole shots in my eyes is that in pool you can change deflection angles using spin, but crokinole doesn't have this luxury.
I just bought my first crokinole board: the Lets Play Games Tournament Crokinole Board, just wanting to know if anyone has had any experience or heard any reviews of the board and pieces. Also, is there anything else I should be getting to maximise my experience playing crokinole, shuffle board wax is on its way already aha. As a total beginner these videos are so interesting and helpful, thank you so very much. There aren't many sports/games where we can interact so easily with the world champion let alone have them share their knowledge on a free platform such as TH-cam so thank you very much for this. Subscribed and have notifications on waiting for your next vid 😊
Update: please, if you were thinking of buying the Lets Play Games Crokinole Board... DONT. It is so super cheaply made, 2 of the pieces weren't even completely round circles, more like misshapen pancakes. The outer edge of the board had marks and scratches straight out of the box.
Hey Mitchell, sorry I didn't see this earlier. The boards suppliers that I recommend are in the video description. There are other great makers/suppliers but those are the ones I actually have experience with. In terms of accessories that you need, I think just wax all you'll need, but a nice set of 20s holders can be helpful :)
You have to get play to your side of the board first, or deny your opponent the opportunity to pull the play past the pegs on their side of the board. Top level play is a constant battle for position
can I interview you on my youtube also how do you do the over the hole shots also could you film som footage of you playing I want to use my editing skills and make a video out of it
Happy to chat at some point, just shoot me an email. I was going to make a video about alley and over the hole shots at some point. My way of doing these shots is to avoid looking at the target, as weird as that may sound.
Why did you stop mate!! You're videos are awesome! And very good tips in there!! Will be hoping and waiting for more

Good speak. We think this too, with my brother a long time in Hungary. There are some secret options too...

Awesome to hear! Remember if your finger hurts, move your finger closer to the disc prior to release.

ABC -- Always [maintain] Board Control
What do you do to counter this strategy?
You have to get play to your side of the board first, or deny your opponent the opportunity to pull the play past the pegs on their side of the board. Top level play is a constant battle for position
