4:08 MayStorm was part the New Champions variant covers before she became an official character. The Variant cover MayStorm first appearance was X-men vol 6 issue 27. 6:34 It could be that. But in issue 6, it is shown at Shinobu/Shadow King was born with his powers and The cult helps him to control his powers so his parents won’t be scare of him anymore. It is definitely Akihiro/Daken. X-23 is really big really, really big stretch. Because the artist, Josemaria Casanovas drew variants covers of the whole marvel ultimate line. In a variant cover of ultimate x men issue 8, the mysterious person in crucifix in the cover. The person is clearly is a male. Also if The Maker has killed Logan at the Weapon X Program that means the Maker would get rid of all the evidences including preventing the creation of X-23 Akihiro was born before Logan joined Weapon X Program. I had this theory of Natsu. That she is not Cyclops’ 6160 variant, but she is the daughter of Cyclops’ and Colleen Wing’s 6160 variants. Because did you know before Madelyne Pryor, Chris Claremont originally wants Colleen Wing to be Cyclops’ love interest, as a way for him to move on from Jean’s death. And Colleen Wing is a Japanese. My theory is since The Maker use his knowledge of Earth’s 616 to prevented everyone to become heroes, The Maker prevents Cyclops meeting Jean Grey or The Maker had killed Jean Grey. If Cyclops falls in love with a normal human like Colleen Wing, he would have a normal life in Japan, never become a hero and he wouldn’t have children to become powerful mutant like Cable, Rachel Summer and Nate Grey. The Maker would killed off Jean so she wound’t become the infamous host of the Phoenix. We saw The Maker talks to 6160’s Galactus. The Maker would prevent Mr. sinister creating Madelyne Pyror and prevent his meddling of cyclops’ life. But my theory is most likely to be proven wrong, because in issue 6 Natsu said “our parents are part of the cult”, and in issue 7 we saw her with crowd of children along with Noriko/Surge. And Natsu’s last name is *“Tsukishima”* Not Wing. Unless She took her stepdad’s last name. I don’t know. There is another theory I have. Hisako and MayStorm “were” members. Because you saw how Shadow King is because have been obsessed with Hisako, he and Hisako knows Tsubasa and he calls her a traitor. But she has no memory of Shinobu. At first I thought Shinobu use his powers to make Hisako forgets about him but in issue 6 when he reveal himself, he ask her, does she remember him. She doesn’t remember him. So it must been someone else that use their power to make Hisako forgets about Shinobu and the Children of The Atom. It maybe the Mystery Man in the crucifix. He might use his powers to made Hisako forget. MayStorm’s father is most likely a member of Children of the Atom, since he so calm when Mei’s powers manifest for the first time. And he never send MayStorm into the cult himself. You saw The solicits of issue 11 of Ultimate X Men? There is a 50/50 chance that MayStorm may liberate the children to freedom from the cult or MayStorm might become the villain and become full Magneto.
Yeah, she was in the cover, but no in any comics until this. The same goes for the other new champion characters like Hellrune. The creator of Hellrune was tasked to create a sidekick for Thor for a cover, and then Marvel took it and made it into a character without crediting the original creator.
@@YEARofTheCollector Aw man that is shame. The artists definitely deserve credit for creating this characters. Also aside of Natsu what do you think of my theories? Do you think someone with telepath power made Hisako forget she was a member of children of the atom?
@commonsense5199 I agree. The artist herself shared her story of how she saw Hellrune in the cover of the new champion and wasn't even notified that Hellrune is already in Spider-Woman's last run. Pretty sad that Marvel continues their bad practices with their artists. As far as it goes for Casanovas variants for issue no.8, I see how the character in that X could be a male. But in the main cover of issue 11, the character doesn't look with that same build, so I'm not convinced one way or another just yet. Also, it would make sense for the Maker to stop the Weapon X program to avoid the entire castle of dealing with Wolverine, but the program did manage to put the skeleton on the subject, so who knows if he dissolved the program or not. I guess the smart thing would be to dissolve it. Lastly, the entire premise of your theory with Jean Gray is good. However, I think all the American based mutants we know from 616 don't exist in 6160. I think the only people getting their mutant gene activated are those who live in Hi No Kuni through the Children of the Atom. In issue 7, we saw how Shinobu is the one responsible for mutant genes being activated, or rather, it's confirmed in issue 7 that this is what the cult is doing. Under the supervision of Emperor Sunfire and therefore under the Maker's control. I also think Maester is 6160 version of Mister Sinister with all the genetic meddling and whatnot. I'm not sure if I buy your theory of Hisako and Mei having their memories erased. I think it's just that Shinobu activated Mei's powers by accident and Hisako's because of a personal vendetta or reasons without the approval of the cult. Anyways, this is fun and I appreciate you taking the time to share your own theories! Thanks for watching!
Deniz Camp threw in that Punisher panel, and another one where it looked like Punisher might be gone, but he left a legacy, and his followers took up after him. So, that plot thread could be picked up by another writer and expand on it.
Also, James Howlett didn't live long enough to go from Weapon X to Wolverine, so I don't know if he actually got to marry anyone in this universe. I really didn't think about that when writing the script for this video. I hated that detail lol
@@YEARofTheCollector It's so hard to say......., anything positive because Peach Mamoko completely alienated the traditional, conservative comic book reader. X-MEN fans are X-MEN fans. How can YOU willfully call a group that's 90% young adolescent girls...Men of any type? This Manga Uzamaki version of Marvel's take on X-Men is whatever? You broke traditional ideas yes, but you let other fans draw their own conclusions about where, and how this new idea fits as the Marvel narrative for the Ultimate line. Traditional fan base of readers do not read the comics written casually of today's Major, Liberal, progressive writers. When you have rearranged the foundational essence of characters with a story this compelling, with characters more tied to Paranormal events then Sci-fi action.......can you still call it.....I guess. They could've called it Ultimate Fallen Angels, or Hell; Ultimate New Mutants!!!! It's just not for me.
@markpitt2474 I also thought they were leaning heavily into the paranormal. But the more you read the series, the more you realize there's nothing paranormal about it. I understand this is not your classic X-Men. It's not trying to be, and it doesn't want to be. Is it for everyone? No. That's okay, too. The 616 X-Men have like 10 series going on in the post-Krakoa era. Your traditional X-Men fans surely can find what they like there. X-Men by Jed MacKay & Uncanny X-Men by Gail Simone are actually really good, I'm enjoying them very much. Thanks for watching!
Well it was great for the first issues. But by issue 7, we have a large cast of characters who have not been adequately introduced. It's a jumbled mess of too many characters. Really disappointed. Cause it started out sooo good! But I dont read xmen bc you need to know way too much past lore to understand any of their main universe books. Ultimate books are SUPPOSED to be coherent without having to know the all the lore. But if you aren't already familiar with a lot of Xmen continuity, this book is NOT for you.
Yesss love to see more people talking about ultimate x-men. It's a delight
I have been loving Momoko's take on the X-Men & I'm very excited for the future! Thank you for watching 🤟
