The 2023 US Open main draw runs from August 28 - September 10 in New York City at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The tournament takes place for the 143rd time and is the fourth and final Grand Slam of the year. Last year, Spain's Carlos Alcaraz and Poland's Iga Swiatek claimed the men's and women's singles titles. It was both players' first US Open title, with Alcaraz winning his first Grand Slam title and Swiatek winning her third Grand Slam title. This year, at the US Open, we’re set for another historic tournament as the world’s best tennis players head to New York. As a dude who always roots against Novak, I have to hand it to him. What an absolute legend. I admire him tremendously despite not being a fan.
More than anything, and come at me if you want, but I admire his refusal to get the jab, accepting that it would cost him some trophies. It very well could have cost him his chance at history-- although it turns out it didn't-- and his mentality was "so be it". He is not just a great athlete, but also a man with the strongest will imaginable.

Medvedev didn't play badly, his serve was also extraordinary, but Djokovic's this time played with a deadly cross serve and with a stop volley, something that Medvedev doesn't have yet.

In 2023, Djokovic may not have won the Calendar Slam but he has still achieved something
very unique.
Out of the 4 Grand Slams, Wimbledon is the only slam that grants a non-silver trophy to the
champion. Wimbledon trophy is golden, whereas AO, RG and USO - these three all award silver
trophies to the winner.
And apparently, since Rod Laver, Djokovic is the only player to have won all the
silver-trophy-awarding Grand Slam titles in the year.
I call it “The Silver Slam”

Realistically Novak still has 3-4 grand slams in him. I don't think age and wear/tear will truly takes its toll until he's 38-39 years old.
