I'd argue that the density of the silver and thus mass of the second warhammer makes it far meaner than the steel one- iirc artifacts don't get damaged and have all kinds of buffs, so while it's not as good as gold or platinum or something it's about as nasty as you can get with weapon-safe materials. I forget how exactly the calculations are done but if you're not going to penetrate the armour you may as well flatten whatever's beneath it via brute force alone, and having more mass for the same force means more momentum which means more damage. It's not quite my favourite- that'd be a steel pick or a heavier artifact pick as legendary miners get jumped quite often, but tend to end those encounters by parting heads from necks and arms from shoulders with alarming speed and frequency- the pick's point is so fine that all the force gets concentrated on one spot and thus flesh gives way to the pick just as rock would.
You're right that weight is the biggest factor for blunt weapons. I actually thought steel was a bit heavier than silver but now that I look its the other way around, but they pretty on par with each other I think. I want to say there's a minor benefit to the stiffness of steel, but yeah I don't recall the specifics. At any rate, stay tuned for future vids where we make a bunch of weapon traps with silver spike balls. They are so nasty...
