The smile showed up first on the song "therapy session". It represents the fake smile ppl tell him to wear by asking him to be happy when he didn't feel that way at all. As for whether he's independent; as far as I know, he started out signed to capital. At some point in his career, it became a distribution deal. He's always maintained creative control of his music
Def doesn't swear, also his songs with Hopsin and tech, they don't swear either. I feel like that's showing mad respect!
NF is a Christian rapper
@@jshafer4822 nope, not even nf wants to be known as a Cristian rapper, he said hes just a rapper whos Christian.
@@gt4pz4vy6v so... he is both a Christian and rapper. There's no shame in it. I love him as an artist in general.
Futuristic swore in epiphany 🤣 I was surprised hearing it for the first time
He has his own label - NFrealmusic LLC - but Capitol still has distribution rights, which is why you might see copyright claims by UMG (Capitol's parent company).
He co-produces the beats with his best friend, Tommee Profitt (who is amazing - definitely recommend checking him out), and co-directs all the music videos with Patrick Tohill.
Check out the "Therapy Session" song & video to understand the black smile. The ending represents how he got everything he wanted when he grew up, but still wasn't happy, The sequel to this is "Interlude" & "Hate Myself" - must be listened to sequentially, in order. There is an Easter egg for this song in his track called "Real", which was released 4 years before this song. He had the blueprint the whole time!
The best part about NF is that he is a lyrical genius who doesn't need to swear in his music to be a great artist.
I love seeing new people discovering NF. Please react to "Paid My Dues" where he reacts to a negative article from Rolling Stone and he completely destroys it
All my friends used to make fun of me for listening to NF, now they all listen to him, he's still one if my favorite artists
Gotta do the “intro” everyone’s getting you on his recent stuff but the real NF peeps know you gotta start at the beginning man.
YESSSS! Where else would you start other than the song literally titled "intro"? Lol 1 2 and 3 are all bangers
Love the NF reactions!
Something else about NF. He has subtle clues to stuff in his videos. When he picks up the receipt when he is the restaurant, pause and look at the receipt. It tells you when, at the time, his new album was going to drop. All of his stuff ties into each other. Enjoy the journey.
Can I recommend "start over" by Flame featuring NF, most reactors don't see it because it's a feature, it's a gospel rap song
Love how he gives the same energy to the 2 fans as the stadium full of fans
Loving the NF reactions - thanks Kiing!
8k 🤩
NF is really that dude! I started listening to him when he only had one EP out and no one knew his name. I went and saw him in the basement of The Rave in Milwaukee back in like ‘17 with maybe 50 people there. Now he has 5 LPs, songs on the radio and I just went and saw him at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee where the Bucks play and it was sold out! This dude is an inspiration for real!
He was originally signed with Capitol Christian Music, a branch of Capitol publishing. After his first two albums he seems to have moved himself to NFRealMusic, but the distribution is still managed by Capitol (as far as I can tell by what the wiki says). I know he has talked (and rapped) in the past about how hard it was to break out of the Christian music scene because he didn't just want to rap about God. I suspect he came to some agreement with Capitol over his artistic freedom after the two albums not only made the top Christian Billboard charts but also the regular ones. So in short yes, he is still signed to Capitol but as loosely as possible, and some of his mix tapes are released independently.
He is signed to capital christian records but doesn't label himself as a christian rapper. He said he is just a rapper who is openly christian, his fans gave his music the lable of real music and he also says it in his songs alot he has a song titled real you should check out.
Just showed up to your channel "Search Reaction" I have been enjoying your NF reactions.
Take the whole journey man, nf saved my life when i was in my darkest pit, with his hope album. I got to see him for his final show of the hope tour it was life changing.
I try to find possible doubles in NF's music, so "this could be a reach".
"I'm not Adele"
1. the singer.
2. a dell computer is used in corporate jobs, which he doesn't want.
3. a dell is also a common computer, which he is not common.
Awesome!! Ty! 🤘❤️🇨🇦
Love nf and I feel him so much he breathes truth
I so so enjoyed your reaction! Very compelling thank you so much
Check out the song Therapy. It explains the "fake smile"
Thank you! Love your reactions bro
Really enjoying your reactions. NF is awesome. He's so different. There is still lots for you to listen to. I would recommend All I have and Notepad, How could you leave us (then Mama), Real, got you on my mind, green lights, let you down, One Hundred, remember this, if you want love, why, leave me alone, Nate, time, only, let me go, hate myself, change, my stress, options, like this, paid my dues, just like you, layers, drifting, prideful, Happy, careful. pandemonium, mistake, let em pray, running, suffice, turn my back. These are my personal faves that you haven't reacted to yet. He's got a great catalog and an overall good guy. He's come a long way in his personal life and that in itself is very inspirational. Thank you again for your reactions.
The Adele line is a lead up to “say Hello to mass appeal” since she has the song “Hello” 😊
You are the first reactor that I have ever seen that got the Adele line!!
NF ! Yeees
Here for it
🔥🔥🔥
One of a kind
Go Braves! Go NF reactions!

"Spot On". Good shit bro.
Nf said "How you like it? .. Pretty well.." 🎉
Ohhh yeuah!!
Also he is independent I believe.
He is signed to Capitol Records.
This track and video is awesome. Nf is a monster. Great reaction. 👍👍🔥🔥🔥😎😎😎
Nothing is unrealistic ! That's what I take from the song!
Can u react to Ailee killing voice, prob the best female vocalist in Korea. Killing voice is a channel where Korean artists sing snippets of some of their songs in a studio live, really showcases their skills and versatility. There is subtitles for it
Good on you family
Watch therapy session and the smile will be revealed! That’s where it all starts!
Motivated is a good gym song.❤
You are the type of parents every kid is jealous of not having, but not the one every kid deserves XD, I'd love it if my parents were a bit more chill like that
Remember the kid with the big drink as he's rapping for the 2 fans when you watch the video for Motto... 😏😉
Keep in mind the red headed kid drinking the soda. He comes back again in another video off of his "Hope" album. I suggest that you react to that ENTIRE album from start to finish. The whole album connects and it DESERVES a whole listen ✌️
Now that you have seen this one I think that his track "Motto" should be one of your next ones you react to!
He is independent. No record deal. Which is great for him.
I agree with you all the way have a dream work your but off and you can achieve it! I have a 14 year old son he wants to play in the MLB and I will do whatever I can to help him achieve it as long as he puts the work! Much love keep working my guy love videos

Remember This and Destiny are some of his best... do those next plzz
You find out what the fake smile is about in earlier tracks. Try going back to the beginning of the journey and do Intro and All I Have. I’ve seen people post the entire NF journey list in your comments in order. Just go find the list and follow it. As you go through the list, the questions you have will be answered. Your reactions are good, but you get more out of the songs/videos if you go in order.
He will also get fewer views. He should react to the songs his viewers request the most first. Going back to the beginning is a personal journey. Again, if he wants his channel to grow, he should make a list of the most requested songs. That's where the audience is.
@@sundaypie2088 idk. NF fans will click on it no matter what. I've just found that it's more enjoyable going in order and seeing their reactions as things are revealed in the song/video rather than through comments afterwards.
@@72KingDavid 😊 I am an NF fan just like you. I find that some of us NF fans tend to behave like little NAZIS (NF police) forcefully demanding that NF reviewers follow the NF journey. It feels like an ultimatum: "do the journey or else!" It lacks cognitive flexibility. There are in fact 2 ways to enjoy NF. 1) Start the journey from the beginning. 2) Start the journey with the most requested songs, fall mad in love with the artist's talent, then go back in time to understand where NF the man is coming from. The most requested songs are the songs that changed someone's life, that prevented someone from ending their lives, that gave them courage to keep fighting, that help them reconnect with themselves. The people who are requesting these songs first are also NF fans 👍.
@@sundaypie2088 I get that. Like I said, I’ll click on it regardless, I just feel he’ll get more out of it going in order. I’m not being a nazi or demanding anything. Merely suggesting a less random technique. Like since NF has a concept career where many songs fit together like chapters of a book, it just makes sense to read each chapter in order rather than jumping around to recent back to the beginning to recent to middle to recent, etc.
@@72KingDavid I get you.
You gotta listen to Motivated by NF now!

God is Love
Part of Capitol Record CMG (Christian Music Group)
I know he was signed with capital, not sure if his new album was with or not or whatever, not completely familiar with his life like some lol, most I know is from his music n comments on videos, but I do consider him a Goat
I wanted to be a firefighter, but I'm asthmatic. Lol
react to how could leave us one of his deepest songs
WATCH THERAPY SESSION.. YOU WILL SEE WHAT SMILE MEANS
Signed to Capitol Records
check out happy by nf
Check out Adam Calhouns White rapper, fight music and starter cap/ the end. Go from there you won't be disappointed
Independent. Any rapper that talks about God that is this big is Independent. You don't have God whispering in that dark world. The mask means he had to be fake to do the show. DAX is a good rapper too.
Why Did Ypu Leave Us PLEASE!!!❤
He's a Christian rapper so it makes sense he doesn't curse
@atleastwetriedgaming He’s not a “Christian rapper”. He’s a rapper that’s also a Christian. Not the same thing, to quote NF himself : “If you’re a Christian and a plumber does that make you a Christian plumber…?”
@gabrielmartenson6716 I know the difference and lecrae is the same way lol. Ultimately he's not a gospel rapper if we're getting technical. Not all of his songs are "Jesus Jesus Jesus" but he's still a Christian rapper (rapper that's a Christian) and to a degree doesn't compromise his beliefs on that (i.e. Curse/use God's name in vain, rap about getting girls/effing them, etc).
@@atleastwetriedgamingI’d say that Lecrae is way more of a Christian rapper than NF is. And while you’re not wrong with everything that you said just now, it doesn’t change the fact that NF has literally and specifically said that he does not see or consider himself in that way as an artist…
@gabrielmartenson6716 You're correct in that as well. Though Lecrae has also made this direct claim (that he's a Christian that's a rapper and not a Christian rapper). The difference is that Lecrae straight up started as a Gospel Rapper with Trip Lee, Tedashii, and the rest of 116 Clique then realized he wanted to rap more outside the box with other things (like his life, wife and family, thoughts, etc.) as all around rapper. I still say both are Christian rappers but not Gospel rappers. I get what they're doing, but if you think about it it's a catch 22. For example if someone calls Lecrae a "Christian rapper" people will correct you that he's "a rapper that's a Christian". But if I say "Lecrae is a black rapper" (which is also accurate) nobody will say anything. But the reason why that's contradictory is because Lecrae doesn't rap about Black Power, the Black Panthers, African American movements, etc. You see what I mean? The term Christian rapper or rapper that's a Christian is no different than a black/white rapper or a rapper that's white/black etc. They're just not Gospel rappers (where all their songs are about Jesus/God/Holy Spirit). I don't think either is really wrong and I get what they were doing, but I think (personally) they were too strung up on the phrasing but when you think about it it really doesn't change anything (from Christian rapper or rapper that's a Christian)
@@atleastwetriedgaming I hear ya on that but I’d say that one key and significant difference between the two of them is that NF doesn’t have songs about God to the extent that Lecrae does as far as his more “mainstream/studio” albums go….
You pause too much, my boi. NF is fire though. It was a fun journey to follow as it was all comin out.
And I agree with what you said about turning something you love into a job but on the other hand in that same way something you love can easily become something you hate if the people you working for are stressful asf
