MATT, YOU ARE A GENIUS!! Come August 17th, I'll be flying to my native country of Sweden from Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey. I am flying with Scandinavian Airlines flight 910 (an Airbus A330-343) nonstop. Two weeks of pure enjoyment in my native country visiting family and friends!! I CAN'T WAIT!! Hey, may your camcorder and your car RIP. Hey Matt, when you mentioned manic Monday I played that song by The Bengals on iTunes. Thanks!! Great song!! Your channel is a classic!! Keep up the great work rain or shine!!
Wow Niklas!!! I'm so jealous! I've always wanted to visit Scandinavia - Sweden in particular. I'm a huge fan of Saab aviation. They make some of the coolest combat jets ever! The Draken, Viggen & Gripen are so incredibly unique. Have you ever seen any of them perform in air shows? If you happen to see a Gripen while you're up there, take some pics for me! Draken & Viggens aren't flying anymore if I remember correctly. OH! Also, can you bring me back some cool weather - not sure if customs will allow it, but please try. One last item - the Bangals were HUGE Beatles fans & that's how they got their name. Instead of "Beat"les, they went with "Bang"les. Interesting huh?
Good afternoon, folks.. as always, great, Matt..keep on watching from Dourados, South Mato Grosso, Brazil..well done ! Thanks for posting ! Gets me high Just to see all those wonderful big birds.. !
WHOA COOL! You're viewing from down in Brazil!? I hope its not too hard to follow my version of the English language. I'm always concerned that folks from other countries might not be able to follow what I'm talking about. Thrilled to know that you enjoy it. Thanks a lot man!
Hey Matt, recently spent a week in ATL, and I gotta say its easily my new favorite airport! It was awesome seeing the Delta ops, the new A330neo, some military 737 versions in the Delta maintainence hangers, and of course the legendary "FLY DELTA JETS" sign. Pretty awesome!
NICE! Yeah man, it's a great airport for aviation buffs like us. And the Delta Tech Ops ramp/hangars are like gifts that keep on giving. You never know what's going to emerge. They've had a couple of P-8s there for quite some time. Every now & again I even see Janet! Did you get to do a tour of the facility or just observe from the parking deck?
WOW! Some extremely intense and beautiful aviation weather video here! (Especially the rainbows!) ALSO LOVED the A330-neo! (So sorry you damaged your car ... consider it yet another sacrifice for your art.) Outstanding work, Matt!
Thank you so much Mr. Crane! No worries on the handycam. It was definitely worth it! The car, on the other hand, hurt pretty bad. But its still drivable so I think I'm just gonna leave it as is & buy another in the next few months. For now its my "Yellow Badge of Courage"!
Welcome back Matt and what a great video. I love it when you catch those severe storms at Hartsfield. Keep them planes n storms coming, buddy. Thumbs up. 😎🎥🛫🛬
when Airbus first proposed the A350 customers rebelled because ultimately it was too narrow. it was max 8 across seating and they wanted at least 9 across. Airbus wanted to use the tooling for the A330 i assume. Anyway no dice they had to redo the whole thing so it was now A350XWB or extra wide body.
Oh WOW! Thanks for clearing that up for me Rohan. It makes sense because when I think back to my flight to Hawaii on an A330-300, I remember loving the 2-4-2 seating because my wife & I could sit together without the 3rd wheel. I wonder if anybody has ever used XWB as an insult. Lose some weight ya dadgum XWB!
Only Matt would shrug off the cost of damage to car and camera to bring us the action in the most trying of circumstances. In exactly the same way he did not allow a wasp nest to restrict our enjoyment of the action.. Well done Matt! A real trooper.
WELL PUT KEVIN!!!! You know exactly who I like to operate. I've decided the car damage will remain. Might as well just drive it into the ground and buy a new one rather than waste a ton of money getting it repaired. It's kind of like a red badge of courage - only yellow. And that handycam can go to hell! Thanks again Kevin! It really is nice to be appreciated!
@@mlcochran78 If I might say so, that's a very pragmatic approach. I presume you will have compensated the lawful owner of the yellow bollard for the paint damage caused by your vehicle! Keep up the good work. Your videos are aural and visual treats and are not to be missed.
YES!! man i swear its like Christmas when i see you've posted a video! lmao I usually don't read people's descriptions, but I look forward to yours everytime lol
Glad to see the first 767 wasn’t just a cheek stamp! Gotta love that cumulus backdrop :) Thanks for the video Matt!!! Huge like from me. EDIT: Just realized, in a couple weeks I’ll be on an AC Rouge across the pond... any tips you’d give me? It’s been a while since I’ve been airborne!
Oh gawd how I hate those cheek stamps! As far as your travels on AC Rouge goes, my advice is make sure you get a window seat (obviously) and stare out of it for the entire trip looking for UFOs. If anyone asks what you're looking for, tell em your mother ship is supposed to rendezvous with you at 35000ft! Jk. Don't do that. Ya don't wanna freak everyone out & cause a diversion.
@@JustAnAverageTraveler Oh absolutely they are. Diversions are bonus adventures! Kinda like extra innings in baseball - if you're into baseball of course
HEEEY GIMP! Great to hear from you, as always. Glad you enjoyed it! There's nothing better than multiple nasty storms & having the ability to time lapse them!
Hey Eileen! Oh I seek out this kind of action. There's nothing more thrilling to me than watching significant weather interact with flight operations. So whenever the opportunity to do so arises, I throw caution to the wind and haul ass out there. I can't imagine Seattle ever sees weather as violent as we do in the spring & summer, but it can be challenging just the same because of the rain. To me, however, rain isn't enough to draw me out there. I require the risk of thunderstorms. Its so damn hot & humid down here in Dixie there's a risk of storms pretty much everyday in the summertime. Not only is it fun to watch, but its a great way to beat the heat!
THANKS MAN!!! I really appreciate it! Just checked out your channel. Do you have any videos coming anytime soon? If not stop what you're doing and make one this instant! And don't give me any backtalk! jk

I agree wholeheartedly. Mondays are already sad by nature. Having that poor livery-less Mad Dog sitting next to its replacement made it even more depressing. Kinda cruel too. Thanks again buddy!
Oh SWEET! I just subbed to your channel. My favorite place to sit on the mad dog is right next to the engine. Provided there isn't an uncontained engine failure, its the best seat in the house! Are you going to be doing any filming on the flight or spotting when you're in town? I might be able to come out there on Saturday the 27th if you have time to meet up.
@Matt Cochran Thank you for the sub! I will film onboard, but no am connecting in ATL for 2 hours because my full trip is SAN-ATL-EWR on the 25th, and the same route back on the 27th. I can't meet you, but perhaps you can film my plane? I will be coming in as DL1523 on an MD88 from Newark, and then departing as DL3032 on an A321 to San Diego.

HA! Yeah, its definitely funny to think about. I know what some of them think - "I see something. I better say something" - and then the cops pay me a visit. But they're always super nice. When I'm shooting subterranean its even more hilarious because my voice echoes throughout the entire parking deck! So much fun! Thanks man!
Man, I've been the Rainbow King all summer. Pretty much every time I've been out there, a rainbow pops up. And not just a half ass slacker rainbow. They're all pure, full-blown rainbows. Just wait til my next video. You'll see.

HEY!!! Why aren't you on the phone selling certified broken trucks?! Don't you know how much we pay for these leads? That does it! Pipeline review. Breakout room A. NOW!!!!
Unfortunately it all depends on what or whom you consider to be the Lord. For example, BUDDHA DAMMIT! Now as a Presbyterian I see nothing wrong with that, but don't go anywhere near Tibet with that language. ALLAH DAMMIT won't mean much here in the states but you'd get beheaded for it in Afghanistan. So you have to be specific as to which Lord you mean when you ask someone not to take the Lord's name in vain. It's very very nuanced. . . .
I need some sleep, it’s 12:30AM.
