Actually it is alot easier than it seems. Its only difficult working in a shop because they choose quantity over quality. Ive spent a full day detailing an SUV. Turned it from a dirty soccer mom type vehicle to a brand new luxury SUV that it should be. All it took was a shop vacuum, trash bags, carpet cleaner, vinyl cleaner and protector, leather cleaner and protector, wheel and rim cleaner, microfiber towels, glass cleaner, car exterior soap, shammy, buckets and an assortment of brushes. The price you pay at the shop is the same price you pay for all the supplies that can do at least 5 details. You could also attempt to wax your own car but I wouldn't recommend it. Just use a clay bar. Its very easy to mess up a waxing.
Your video will be of tremendous use for me. Whenever a girlfriend says "you spent HOW LONG washing your car?" I can refer them to this video and tell them that there is a world of difference between a simple car wash and a proper detailing. As a matter of fact between getting out the pressure washer for my foam gun, the two bucket washing and the CR filtered water for the final rinse (and I do remove the wheels too) Maybe I would be better off just throwing her a hundred or two and tell her to go shopping with her girlfriends. I once spent three entire weekends on a Porsche that a friend bought at auction and I told him it could use a proper cleaning, compounding (to remove the swirls that the pre auction fluffers installed) and then Cquartz coating. Just the under body and engine compartment took an entire day. I spent three hours just jeweling the paint with Menzerna po85rd and a black pad. Damn, did I feel satisfied with the results too.

Absolutely love your videos Guru! Especially the interior cleaning ones. Thank you for the time you spent on these. They're so relaxing. Hope to see some more in the near future. Uber relaxing 😊
Place floor mats in a pillow case and wash on gentle in washing machine. I Have watched this video 100 times when going to sleep at night. Today was the first time I caught this recommendation. What a great idea for cleaning floor mats
Did you get the steering wheel cleaned? It's one of the most overlooked parts that most detailers just overlook or simply wipe dry. When I detailed my family's 4 year old car, I hit the steering wheel with APC and swirled with a brush, then when I dried it off my towel literally turned dark grey. That steering wheel had 10x more dirt on it than the entire interior combined, and my family are quite clean people.
Hi mate, Ive been watching alot of your videos. Im a car valeter and I watch alot of detailing videos for tips really. I can appreciate how much time and effort you put into your detailing. My business is valeting but Im hoping to get into full on detailing at some point. When I read that you didnt charge for doing this Bentleys interior and you dont charge for alot of these jobs you do for people my heart sank. You should be getting paid for that quality of workmanship. I know you said you hope to gain money from youtube ad revenue but its so hard to do that nowadays on youtube.
Im a 15yr detailer...worked at mercedes many years...done 100s of cream leather seats only using a bucket of hot water to rinse APC sprayed onto magic sponge...spent years using tradition leather scrub techniques with dissatisfactory results....excellent results from magic sponge...most times its the first and last time the leather will ever be cleaned...so its ok to be aggressive and seal to protect...i use on all vinyl and leather interior surfaces...especially dash , steering wheel and gear shift knob....thanks for the great videos...
Watching and listening to him is like... therapy. I relax so much I actually start falling asleep! Very OCD (good for your clients for sure) and extremely thorough as always.
Can I just say that I love the amount of hard yakka you put into such old leather!!! That was a momentous piece of work and I can only hope the owner saw exactly how much effort went into the interior and enjoyed it when the inevitable traffic jams came.
If you have a velcro backed electric DA polisher, you can buy various Velcro backed brush pads. I have a light/medium one and use it to clean cars with all leather seats being dirty. I typically do it first, since the DA can sometimes throw a bit of agitation foam but it works GREAT for tackling a large amount of upholstery in a timely fashion.
There's nothing like the old world craftsmanship of these hand-built masterpieces from Crewe. Beautiful work, my only concern is the harshness of the magic eraser.
OMG, Salems lot tattoo. Amazing. I remember watching that mini series on TV in the UK and I couldn't sleep for weeks. This was decades ago. Back in the UK I used to use Gliptone liquid leather cleaner and conditioner. It's two separate items. Made the leather look nice and matte like new.
