Civil war is definitely my favourite Marvel movie so far. And I honestly don't really understand how anyone could still be on Cap's side after those scenes in the movie.
Cap always claimed that everything (or most things) Tony does are solely for himself, when in this movie it's quite the reverse. Tony takes all the blame for what the Avengers did in the first two movies and despite not agreeing with Cap at all, he still tries to save him and Bucky (somehow). Because Ross wouldn't waste a second to kill Bucky while trying to capture him - Cap is willing to take that risk, Tony isn't. Tony even admits him being mistaken about Bucky, which is a HUGE deal when it comes to his character.
And then finally: Tony seeing his parents being killed by Bucky definitely made him mad, maybe more than he ever was, but I don't think he would've gone for killing Bucky if not for Cap. Because knowing his parents killer and seeing him kill them on tape hurt him a lot, but hearing out of Cap's mouth that he knew for an eternity and chose not to tell Tony definitely broke him.
Tony had to swallow so many things in this movie, while everything Cap did was simply running after Bucky - the blame for the Avenger's doings in Ultron, Cap's actions in this movie, him and Pepper being sepperated, the memory of him not saying goodbye to his parents, finding out who killed them plus watching them die on tape and finally the betrayal of one of his best friends. No wonder why he snapped, with all honesty Tony deserves the greatest respect for even holding on so long.
I also believe if it wasn't Bucky but someone else they were chasing, Cap would've totally or at least half agreed to Tony.

In the end, Stark knew killing Bucky wouldn't change anything, he knew there was no longer some greater cause, no crusade or great mission. Bucky killed his mom, that's more reason than any difference in politics or longterm goals.

The geniusity of the screenwriters and the Russo's brothers is imprinted in one line "Did you know it?" "Yes.".. That is the only thing that could lead to splitting Avengers up.. not the politics, not some law, not the government interference .. just the simple human reason : the guy you've trusted and consider a friend hid the truth from you and protected a guy who killed your parents.

People don't understand when they say they're on Cap's side. I love e Cap and all, but I'm on Tony's side. Tony lives with the regret of not saying something the day his dad and mom were killed. And Steve protecting Bucky is like spitting in Tony's face. Tony deserved to avenge his mother and father. Because at the end of the day, you can't use "Cap wanted to stop the other super soldiers", because Zemo kills the other super soldiers himself. So at the end Cap was only being down right selfish protecting Bucky. And I get it, it's his life long friend, who he protected him when he wasn't strong and also who he thought died. But still, Tony deserved to avenge his mom and dad. Enough said, Captain ass sniffers.
Lol.... I'm a tony stark fan... I don't like cap. But the truth is Tony was wrong to fight Bucky. As much as it hurt it's true.
If anything Iron Man was wrong. He didn’t know what was happening and what happened when Captain did. Plus how the hell in the world was Bucky supposed to stop from being controlled into a super solider? He was made into one and couldn’t do anything about it, so it wasn’t his fault. Tony had no right to go after him even though “Bucky killed his mom.” Bucky never had a choice and couldn’t do anything about it. Captain did what was right in my view.

I AGREE! Cap legit knew the truth, and if you see it in a different way, he betrayed tony, the son of the man who helped im countless times in WW2 and who insisted in searching for cap when he was caught in the ice. I know the movie came out ages ago but still, tony side.

Тот момент, когда жаль в этой мясорубке лишь двоих людей - Тони и Баки. Одного контролировали, а второй рано потерял родителей. И оба не виноваты в том, как случились обстоятельства. Просто нашла коса на камень, но вот у кого точно рыло в пушку, так это у Стива, который осознанно врал и выгораживал одного друга, ценой второго. Это та ситуация, где нет ни правых ни виноватых, но есть вранье, и оно и сыграло в этой мясорубке роль катализатора, и Земо, который грамотно рассчитал все ходы и изучил их чтобы ударить по больнее.
