    More people need to see these kinds of videos. People just ignore these problems. Not being sustainable right now is the biggest problem our earth has ever faced. People act like social and government problems are the biggest for some reason, but they are so wrong. This all starts with the education system. I will grow up in a ruined world if no one makes an act. I try to be as sustainable as possible (which is kind of hard with all the papers we get in school), but still, others need to know. Even when I was in sixth grade I still didn't know about the biggest crisis humanity has ever faced. It's not ok that they do not stress this to be taught in school.

You ever tried - Saandalyn Perfection Optimizer - (do a search on google ) ? Ive heard some amazing things about it and my neighbour got excellent success with it.

      Billions of people are already plant based. Because they're poor and meat is a luxury and plants are dirt cheap.
      The oceans need to recover. The sea is 87% depleted and 90% of all big fish are gone. So yeah. Stop eating fish and let them repopulate. The population was doing just fine before we started fishing.

      @laela6289 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You're exaggerating. I have been buying fish there for a month. Their salmon is 4 dollars more per lb than the fish sold in regular supermarket stores. And judging by the credentials as well as the taste, it is a pretty good deal. Most middle-class americans can afford whole foods, especially if they're smart enough to only shop there for certain specialty products, and not their entire grocery list.

    • @likeastarbaby
      @likeastarbaby 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      So besides the fact that Whole Foods only exist in the very wealthiest parts of London (quite telling, really) you seriously expect people to go there to buy certain foods and then go to another store to buy the rest of their groceries? Seriously, how much free time do you have? Lidl, one of the most budget supermarkets in the country, is also one of the very best for sustainable and organic produce, fair trade, etc. etc. all for reasonable prices. Whole Foods doesn't charge so much because its ethical - it charges twice the amount it should because it can market to the very wealthiest in society. If you can shop there then thats great, but the majority of people - including me, and I'm middle class - definitely can't.

    • @likeastarbaby
      @likeastarbaby 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Kaela Brown wow, you actually dug out the c word for a perfectly rational conversation on a video about _sustainable fish_, lol. yeah i'm sure you volunteer kiddo, in between going to school for 6 hours a day, good for you. try having a two hour each way commute and an actual 35 hour a week job and see how much free time you have to go to one of the three whole food stores in the entire city. oh you live down the road from one? thats so nice, i really wanted to hear your life story. you spend 3 hours food shopping do you? you mean your mummy does? seriously, how do you actually think that you can make any kind of point about how affordable something is when you're not even an adult. just because you have no responsibilities and can easily spend your pocket money in whole foods doesn't make it affordable. bet you can also afford to buy a daily starbucks too.
      my point wasn't even about that anyway, it was that there are perfectly good sustainable and eco-friendly stores that aren't literally middle class hipster bait and know that they can charge 5x the price and people will pay it.
      finally, protrude definitely doesn't mean what you think it means.

    Wasn’t the Monterrey bay seafood watch uncovered for approving unsustainable/terrible fishing practices? And the fish humans eat are mostly carnivores so even if you’re eating “sustainable” farmed fish, the fish that is fed to those farmed fish is wild caught. God it’s just such an environmental nightmare. Like captain Paul Watson of Sea Shepherd says, There is no such thing as sustainable fishing. All of the crew on his ships eat 100% vegan when they are on board. No sea animals, land animals, or animal products allowed. If anyone truly cares about the health of our oceans or planet, they would be Vegan as well. These “sustainable” fishing labels are just marketing tactics to make people feel less guilty.

    Or go vegan and not cause the death of an innocent sentient intelligent being that can feel pain, plus you don't have to work so hard to try to find supposedly "sustainable" fish. And there are vegan versions of tons of seafood dishes.

    • @jasonmadinya7759
      @jasonmadinya7759 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Why do vegans feel the need to push their lifestyle onto other people? This wonderfully animated video is showing people who care about eating sustainable how to do so. Humans have been eating meat for all its history, let people decide for themselves what they wish to eat, just educate them on what their choices entail.

    • @1anythingatall12whateveryo3
      @1anythingatall12whateveryo3 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      There is NO such thing as sustainable seafood anymore unfortunately. It's all unsustainable. The most sustainable diet is a plant-based one. And why? Simple. There's victims. Why do people oppose racism, sexism, homophobia? Why does anyone tell people not to rape, murder, steal, kidnap? Because there's a victim. I don't care what clothes you wear, what music you listen to, what movies you like, those are personal choices, when your "choice" has an innocent victim that has to die for a fleeting taste pleasure, we care. It's really that simple. We want to save innocent lives. It's not about "pushing a lifestyle" it's about stopping murder. My original post says: "cause the death of an innocent sentient intelligent being that can feel pain" that should have explained itself. We care about the animals.
      Plus we all share this Earth and animal agriculture is the leading cause of climate change, ocean acidification which causes dead zones, amazon rainforest destruction, deforestation, and the 6th mass extinction we're currently in. The coral reefs are dying, turning into white skeletons. Scientists say we will see fishless oceans by 2048 if we don't stop.
      Humans have been murdering and raping each other since the beginning of time too, doesn't mean we should keep doing those things. Ancestors, culture, tradition, time, none of these are good arguments for ending a life unnecessarily. We have always evolved in our ethics. At one time people argued for human slavery in America using many of the same arguments people use against veganism today. Holocaust survivors have gone on to become animal rights activists because they say there is no difference. One day we will look back on the atrocity of animal exploitation like we look back on slavery & the Holocaust.
