About Me:
My bio is pretty random: In short, I am a professional singer/songwriter from Toronto, Canada who moved to Manila, Philippines which sorta became my Hollywood because my first TH-cam channel MIKEYBUSTOSVIDEOS grew popular due to Filipino comedy videos. Meanwhile, I'm also a big biology geek who is obsessed with ants, so I built an internationally operating ant business supported by another popular channel called ANTSCANADA, and well basically, today I travel and tour around the world doing what I love so I wanted to start this vlogging channel, in hopes to encourage you guys to follow your dreams no matter how random, by showing you what happened when I followed mine! You just never know where life will take you when you listen to the yearnings of your heart!
I never understood why people would bother to watch vlog-channels.. I thought it was so boring! Why would you watch how other people live day after day? And then I found this channel, from Ants Canada. And now I religiously watch every day. I can't get enough if Mikey and RJ! Their life, their pets, their friends and family. Please like the video, and as many comments as you can, because they deserve to be viewed by as many as possible. They are great people!

Every interior designer will always strongly suggest an area rug. It completes a space/ and it'll make your living area more cozy and inviting. Choose a rug made made from local and natural materials since we live in the tropics, plus it'll complement perfectly with your Filipino theme. Have fun decorating your house!
I didn't feel any bit of bragging in this vlog. I'm even teary eyed of how far you guys have reached. You have been immensely blessed and I couldn't be more proud. Good thing that the first people to visit you are families. Way to go Mikee and RJ!
My house has also an open floor plan set up and I’ve put rug on my great room. It’s best that you put rug on your living room as this will create an illusion of separation since there are no walls or dividers on your first floor. It will also add TEXTURE and color to your mostly white space and you’ll see how it will become cozy and warm once put on. In terms of color, GRAY will be perfect! 😀
By the way, love to see all the indoor plants finally all set up. Don’t worry, they don’t look too much.👍🏻

Seriously the plants and pots are so beautiful.
People may not like gossip, but in this case them visiting and then telling everyone else in Toronto is a good thing because it’ll make the Canadian Filipino community aware of your house and hopefully they decide to visit once Antopia Park is open to tourists. They get to have their gossip, and you get to have visitors. It’s a win-win!

@@MikeyBustosVLOGS I agree; the home just screams for a beautiful Piano. I would recommend taking a look at the Yamaha C1X (160cm) or C2X (173cm) Piano. In my past I've sold high-end pianos for a while and, in my experience and opinion, these are the best ever for a home (the bigger one for the stage). Sir Elton John plays Yamaha pianos :).
I am so happy for Mikey and RJ. All their hard work is paying off. They built their dream home and get to share with their loved ones.
Welcome back Mikey! Oh, that's definitely very nice to see and meet some of your family members like your aunts, uncles, and whatnot in there, and seeing them meet some of your pets, experiencing some of the features of this house, and much more! In my own opinion, this house honestly was built as big not only to accommodate a lot of guests, but also to accommodate as many memories to make for every visitor that come in and out of your farmhouse; and I'm so thankful to God that we have made our first memory with your family members, because this is just something we don't always get the chance to do often, and to me, this just serves as one of the many special treats to have as soon as your dreams are real like finally living in the farmhouse you've been ambitious over forever, and this is just a mind blowing experience to be getting occasionally with much more memories to be making with more visitors for many more years to come! Yes, get rugs!! Differentiate each space and eliminate some of the echo for both privacy and safety (if you need me to elaborate I will!!) Toy won't regret seoerwtibt the spaces with carpets and you will also have a better idea of how often you have to clean by the state of the carpets because they catch a of the dust! So many positives to gettibf carpets and differentiating each space! It will make it feel more like a home too!!!

When that house is being shown when it's finished it's going to be like going to a museum or some place of archaeologic historic to let them tell you what it's all about it's so beautiful
I would definitely get some rugs for the living and dining areas. It would help define the spaces more and make it feel less empty and echoey, more homey

I'm so glad RJ and yourself are finally able to show off the Farmhouse. You both have worked so hard for all of this and it is so good to see your faces light up over it.
So awesome to see not only your awesome house and it’s sculptural furniture pieces but to meet your family ( and extended family). I know your Aunts and Uncle are in the Country for a very sad reason but I’m sure they’re so happy to be able to stay a few days so they could visit you and RJ for a little bit of R and R. I also love how everyone was taking videos and photos of the different parts of your farmhouse! It made me giggle a little as it was the first time you didn’t say to the camera, “And we’re taking pictures because we’re Philippino !” LOL

Hi Mikey, hope u had a good time with the family! One design tip I could give is that the dark rubber tree is hard to see against the black stones. A plant with more vibrant leaves would pop up more against that dark wall!

In fact, you could do that on your Smart Mirror, and (if it has a camera if not, that could be added) your guests could actually record a quick video greeting for their sign in... with today's tech, this could be very easy to set up and would (IMO) create an incredible legacy for the home.

They did an awesome job in decorating and I like that they featured different designers in the house. I love the round window in the bedroom and love everything else. Not a fan of the black chair in the living room or the light above the stairs, but that's just me. What a great job you both did. Much luck and success. Congratulations on your new home.

Hello Mikey!
I love the plants that you have put in your homes. I’ve been growing and selling houseplants and grow them indoors for about 2 years now (most are hard to find/rare so you have to be really comfortable growing them indoors) so i dont kill them) But I think it’s important for you to know what to expect when bringing them indoors. Even though they are labeled as ‘indoor’ plants, they’re acclimated and grown outdoors to an outdoor condition. So you have to mimic that condition for them to grow well by providing sufficient light. Having them indoors will do ok for a short while, but slowly you’ll see them drop leaves and they will get leggy in search of more light, and they will get smaller newer leaves. Also lack of light often leads to root rot which is often caused by lack of light because they aren’t able to photosynthesize like before. Some ways to increase light is putting them in location near a window. If there’s no window you may want to use growlights
One useful tool to make sure if you’re plants are getting sufficient light, is using a light meter. Most indoor plants will do ok in areas with minimum 400 Foot-candles(FC) rating. But for them to grow fast, i recommend at least a 1000 FC rating which would be bright indirect light.

if you’re getting rugs, dont go for machine made. get oriental handmade ones - more earth friendly and sustainable. by the way do you have an aviary channel?

Your guests look a little overwhelmed! Everybody looks happy though. You could try making a big batch of your welcome towels and freezing them ready rolled. Then you will have a supply always ready which can be microwaved if you need to warm them a little, or taken out in advance of a visit, or give fresh from the freezer depending on how hot it is.

You should make the solid areas of the Vito Selma coffe table aligned with the two sofas, to ensure your guests wont drop their glasses (especially stem glasses) in to opened areas of the table design

Also looked up on plants toxic to dogs or cats. I know peace lily is toxic to dogs. I believed you put one like a family of peace lily in your bedroom. By the way, everything is beautiful in your home ❤
