I've spent my entire quite long life in the music industry (primarily retail) and I've never heard anyone who can sing EVERYTHING from OPERA to RAP and do it all brilliantly! You simply must check out some of Dimash's other performances because every one of them is amazing and spectacular. Dimash owns the stage like no one else alive and he will captivate you with performances that remind you of everyone from Michael Jackson to Pavarotti.

Yes you've definitely hit a rabbit hole. Dimash has a 7 octave range and sings everything from Opera to Rap.
I would also recommend Stranger if you want to hear most of his range. Either that or SOS from the 2021 digital show where he shows off a few 80s hair metal notes.
In Stranger he covers 5 octaves, but it doesn’t cover his complete range.

Dimash is THE greatest vocalist of ALL time. Dimash is still not widely known in the West but he is getting there by TH-cam popularity. He sings in many languages but predominantly in Kazakh, Russian and Chinese. SOS is the song that escalate his popularity but you will find at least a hundred performances in various settings and languages. He doesn't do genre and often mix multiple genres in a song. His performance is an Art, and his art is to bring audience to a very different world each time - just as he did here in Ave Maria. Welcome to Dimash world.
Edit: Ave Maria that we all familiar with is Schubert version but there are at least a dozen versions of it, some are unheard of. This version is specifically composed for Dimash by Igor Krutoy (the guy playing piano) based on a few keys from Schubert and to keep it in purest form it's made in vocalisation only.

You just witnessed the greatest vocalist alive. He’s from Kazakhstan, sings in 15 different languages, plays multiple musical instruments and is currently working on his PhD in music. He’s been training since the age of 5, has a 6-8 octave range (depending on who you ask) has absolute pitch, and is an amazingly humble man. He sings every genre (even raps) He has many recent performances, but I would highly recommend "SOS", "Sinful Passion, "Stranger" 2021, "Ikanaide" 2021, "Adagio" 2017. Each performance will leave you stunned. Oh, and he can sing very low as well, you only witnessed some of his upper register. Definitely not as high as he can go. In "Unforgettable Day" at Gakku, he hits a D8, which is off the piano.

Yes, isn't this a beautiful song! His other songs are very different from this one. As everyone else has said, "Stranger" New Wave version will give you a good overview of his range. He has so many great songs though you can hardly go wrong! Many styles and languages. His most recent song is "Okay" which is in Russian and is a also very different from his other songs. (It won't give you any idea of his range though!) Enjoy!
Notice at the beginning when Dimash is getting ready to sing you hear the heartbeat slowing down before stopping then Dimash sings its like the passing of life to be greeted by the angels. To me this is the closest you will get to heaven without going there. Even though this isn't the Catholic Prayer version it still gets the message across beautifully

Athletic, completing his Doctoral Theses, Trained classically/operatically for 20 years, beginning at age 5. He does not just sing classical music, he also sings pop.
His piano player in this video is worth over 13 billion and wrote the melody and arrangement for the vocalization.
Pam, I keep telling you, he started classical (bel canto) training at ~16 ; at 5 was piano and regular singing technique. And if you don`t believe his teacher, Dimash himself gave the same advice for parents asking when to start their children on singing lessons - he said "5 yo for basic techniques, and 15 for advanced techniques, (like operatic)". He did a >total< of 19 years of vocal training >in school< (basic training 5->~16 ; Classical 16->20 ; Contemporary 20->24). Together with his 2 years of studying Composition, that makes ~22 years of learning about singing + piano + music (including composition), in school. Not 20 years of operatic training since 5.
Also, for 'completing his doctoral thesis' - we only know that he got a >recommendation< for admission to doctoral studies in music when he got his masters in Composition.
Also, Igor is first and foremost a world-class composer. Naming A.Bocelli and L.Fabian as some of the artists he collaborated with might be nicer, than his 'billions' (which apparently, more informed dears say, aren`t even billions, just a few millions in usd - which I couldn`t care less about, but I`m hoping it might be a reason for people to maybe one day drop the weird label "Igor is a billionaire", and maybe mention some of his actual bio "Igor has worked with some of the best artists" or something decent like that)

This is a magical new classic masterpiece that people are sure to hear in 300 years. According to wiki there are 68 Ave Maria settings from 7 eras, now 69. For me, Dimash is the difference between the music business and true art.
Igor Krutoy, *1954 in Ukraine SSSR), singer and songwriter in Ukraine and also music titan in Russia (billionaire). He is a world- famous composer who came out of retirement to write songs for Dimash. The maestro and Dimash have been working together from time to time since 2018. They are friends and have a father-son relationship.

In his song Stranger, he goes from a C2 to a belting F#5 (4 octaves out of a 6+ octave range). To avoid being blocked for copyright, you will have to blur or hide the video. Great singers sings to people's hearts. Dimash sings to people's souls.
As other have already written, he has a 7+/- octave range. In his extensive repertoire of over 200 songs on youtube, there isn't one song that has both his lowest and his highest note. He will always sing the notes that he feels serve the song best.

Hi guys :) loved your reaction video :) You just witnessed *some* of Dimash`s high register :) His low register goes down to A1 (1st octave) in chest voice, and B0 in fry register. He can sing in 6 octaves, and hit notes in 7,2. But we love him for much more than his range :) He`s an amazing artist, a humble and nice person, and much more :) Speaking of technical stuff, he graduated in Classical (Bel Canto)> age 20, and Contemporary (Jazz,Pop)> age 24. Started vocal+piano school at age 5 > teachers noticed he has >absolute pitch

SOS, sinful passion, love is like a dream, stranger I think show his range the most. Ogni Pietra, Pasione are more operatic but epic also. "Your love" also shows his range and is so beautiful. Unforgettable day is my favorite. Any song you chose will be epic, special, incredible. It's not just his range and perfection it's the emotion that he makes you feel with his pasion and his powerful voice. His stage presence is outstanding.
Hmm, highest and lowest? Stranger (sang this a few days before Ave Maria) from New Wave 2021 has a lot of his range but not all. His duet with Li Yugang, Drunken Concubine (Mandarin) with Diva Dance (from 5th Element movie) has notes in (almost) all his range. Lots to choose from on his official channel and on the Chinese CCTV channels from 2017-2022. No two songs will be remotely alike and all are works of art. As everyone has mentioned, he sings in multiple genres sometimes even in the same note. His solo concerts are a marvel of high energy vocal gymnastics of every flavor (neo-classic, rock, pop, rap, folk and world music) with fans flying from all over the world to see and hear him. Watch his New York Barclays Dec 2019 Arnau tour concert on his channel as an example. 19,000 tickets sold.
His fans are currently waiting for him to post his March 2022 Dubai concert on his channel as promised earlier but there are tons of fancam videos of that concert and the April 2022 Dusseldorf and Prague concerts online with varying audio/visual quality. I think the wildest audience was the Prague concert. Don't know why as many of those fans went to all three concerts. I think more Latin American fans made it to Prague and they tend to be a bit more rowdy (LOL). Although you can usually hear a pin drop the minute Dimash opens his mouth to sing as no one wants to miss a single beautiful note.
I think it was a very different atmosphere at Prague. Dubai was very low key with stricter regulations and security, people not even allowed to leave their seats. With the audience not able to relax and act normally I think Di was struggling to find that audience connection that he thrives on. By the Prague concert everything was back to normal and the concert became something special where he could feed off that audience energy again. It's definitely a two way street, the more energy he receives from the audience then the wilder he becomes. I will never forget him climbing the scaffolding and skidding across the stage on his knees.

His signature song is "SOS", for very big range in one song react to "Stranger" or "Drunken concubine with Diva Dance" but it's hard to fit all his range and styles in one song so you'll need to watch several. He sings many genres beside opera.
