He is her best friend for a long time. He was probably her friends long before she became famous. Only because you are an actress and you become famous, doesn't mean that you will stop being a normal human being and forget your best friends.
Btw, Laura is such a nice girl. Everyone says she has an awesome personality and she is normal down to earth person. She is a good actress, but also very talented director.

Laura was a goid friend with Travis for a long time and there is absolutely no reason why they wouldn't continue their friendship regardless the fact tjat Laura is a celebrity now. She is still a normal, nice down to earth person who love her friends and love spending time with them
