- Phenom Bryce Harper hits a HR & pitches relief in the same game, making his CSN pitching debut. I can find no record of Bryce pitching for CSN before this game. #1 Ranked College of Southern Nevada at #2 Ranked Western Nevada College, Game 1 on 4/17/10. After playing RF & having a great day at the plate with another HR, Harper unexpectedly takes the mound with the game on the line, tied 4-4. This phenom can do it all! Can Bryce pull it off? Let's hope the Nationals pass on him so he falls to my beloved Pirates! Enjoy!
he really is an inspiration, quit school early, gets his ged to go to college so he can be drafted....proceeds to further his development by using wooden bats when college hitters usually use aluminum. cant hate on his ambition
Harucchi and todoroki be like
His college leauge was wood bat only
7:51 "You could hit this guy, frank!" Funny seeing how these guys saw him as just a regular college ball player, but little did they know, they were facing a future all-star of the MLB. Amazing.
no, they are just trying hard to see him as another college ball player.
i think they knew he went to play college ball at 17
Pretty sure they knew as he was on the cover of SI and labeled the chosen one at 16...
Not really. Harper had been hyped up since at least 08-09 by espn, si and others.
And they did. It might not be much, but that guy hit a triple off Bryce Harper lol
People have to stop hating bryce for wearing eyeblack when pitching he wasnt expecting to pitch hes a hitter for crying out loud jeez
jlin 99 nope. If a player goes douchy with the eye black he deserves to get hated on
@@themerryprankster44 Maybe he prefers that than wearing shades that can move around when running.
@@themerryprankster44 how is that douchy
@@themerryprankster44 keep hating on the two time MVP. i did for a while before i realized that just made him stronger LOL
Harper was 3-23 that weekend and it was the first time CSN was swept in their history. Over 2,000 people attended the games that weekend in Carson City. CSN and WNC played in the Scenic West Athletic Conference, a wood bat league (NV, CO, UT, ID). Tim Chambers was the CSN coach and DJ Whittemore coached the Wildcats. After his dismal hitting performance, Harper took his bat and busted the water cooler. Whatever, I still got his autograph!
beautiful field
Yep
+DA_IMAC4 no
I wanna see the fucking plate when he pitches jesus
this field is amazing !!! did you see the mountain in the back !!
No
I mean, they’re in Nevada...
Would love to hear the coach say "HARPER STOP PLAYING WITH THE FUCKING DIRT!!!" Lmfao
M
wouldnt be able to take a pitcher seriously that wore ultimate warrior style eye paint.
Bryce Harper is. My hero!!l I wear my eyeblack exactly like that and I pitch
Thats cool...doesnt change the fact that id show you little respect on the mound if I saw it. Makes it look like you're trying to hard.
ant gut wouldn't be able to take a batter seriously that tried to make mud in the batter's box either
+Marik 444 you would show him respect when he strikes you out.
Did we hurt your Harper fan feelings?
He just loves that dirt
Who is the watching when Harper is in mlb
Uhhhh everyone lol
I can hear the Alabama accent in this

I remember playing against a kid in high school that was drafted by the Marlins. Very athletic, good bat (B - L / T - R), 6'4" solid muscle, ridiculous speed, a really good arm from center. They brought him in to pitch in the late innings and we were all thinking he was going to be throwing bullets. As we lined up along the dugout to watch him warm up I remember thinking this can't be real, after his fourth or fifth warm up pitch we all broke out in unison with uncontrollable laughter. I bet his fastball never reached 55 mph, its like he was shot-putting the ball or something. A big ass intimidating dude standing on the mound, yet he basically only throws change-ups and super slow change-ups.
A lot of people fail to understand that throwing in the field and pitching are completely different.
In my younger years I had a decent arm in the In-field, but they would put me on the mound and I would throw maybe 70…..on my best days. Way behind most people my age at the time. Just didn’t have the mechanics for the velocity there.
I mean, you see it in the MLB all the time too. Every once in a while they put a all star fielder on the mound and even the try-hards have a hard time touching 80. On the other hand they have put pitchers at 3rd base who you expect to throw rockets over the first. Nope. It’s usually like a bouncer or way off target. Matt Chapman, who is known to throw 90+ across the Diamond from 3B probably couldn’t touch 90 on mound.
I hope this Bryce kid makes it to the league one day
that's an amazing backdrop
Is it just me, or am I the only one noticing the beautiful mountains in the backround?
beautiful baseball files... love the scenery too.
what a good player, i hope he gets in the mlb
What have you been missing? He’s been in the MLB since 2012
@@MJM_Productionshe's making a joke lol
when bryce is pitching the fans in right field look like they're standing on the fence
bryce's coach:"Bryce can you pitch?" Bryce:"That's a clown question bro."
this kids a fucking stud. he has so much potential i cant wait to see how he plays in 5 years.
He reminds me of buster posey in college, he can play any position and be a bad ass..
He will be like buster in the pros but better because he has power and a strong arm
His swing is beautiful
Lol 8:53 him and the 2nd basement mimicking each other.
Such a happy ending to this video
I wonder what he was topping out at
97 with a freak off speed
bryce harper is awesome
the chatter in this video is fantastic
my favorite player
Beasttt.!!!!!
Gona be a 250-275 hitter hitting 20-35 bombs a year and Gona lead the league in out field assists
Reminds me of Jose Bautista just a lefty hitter
my fingers are crossed for washington to pass too! the best thing for them in 17 years
let's go bucs
that place is beautiful and would be amazing to place baseball there
that field is sick
Very violent pitching motion. Had Tommy John written all over it.
damn the bio talking about hoping he falls to the pirates. Imagine him debuting as a pirate while cutch was still in his prime. that would have been so cool
one talented kid
Such a niceass field
he's performing better this year, but he's also a year older, with a years more of experience. next year harper will be putting up the same number as Trout. to perform like he's doing in the majors at the age of 19 is pretty unheard of.
actually, he was being very smart. on a 3-0 count, the pitcher will most likely leave one in the strike zone not expecting you to swing or hit, therefore you can assume the pitcher will throw a pitch in the strike zone where it is hittable. ill agree it is a somewhat bad idea to swing on a 3-0, but if the ball is where you want it and you know you can hit it, by all means swing away.
I'd be so pumped to get a triple, and then a walk off rbi off of Harper. Stuff to tell the grandkids.
Best prospect ever

One of my baseball coaches played against Bryce in high school
Did Bryce ever finish high school, or did he attend CSN to "study" for a GED and play baseball for the scouts?
Lets Gooooo Nats!
Thanks!!! First time I seee that..!!!
If the nats clintch a playoff spot, harper needs to close out a game
he does it all!
GO! GO! ICHIRO!!!!!
@TeganES Honestly, I hope he doesn't have to be "humbled" (or embarrassed) to realize that he needs to chill a bit. I'm hoping he kills it in the Show but you're totally right about the "make-up" and everything else... such a big production, like dude, just be great and leave it be. I got a chance to see Jeter play our varsity team in high school (I was younger, just in JV at the time) and not an OUNCE of all of this... and he's proven to be one of the best.
damn thats a nice field.. all turf with snow in the mountians
FYI that home run bounced off the top of the fence and went over. and the fence is 314 fit
Wow
W
the eyeliner is smooth! lol.
looks like he's throwing pretty hard. upper 80s?
i agree
James Stevens
he gets clocked in the mid 90's
96mph is his average
He was throwing 96 here idk y he doesnt pitch every 5th day and hit lol
markbotplus o
The catcher in this video is probably now drinking a brew with his son like "look Scotty, I told ya I played him" and his sons like "were you better than him?" 🤣
let's see him do the whole dirt and face paint routine in the majors. he'll get his jaw realigned.
you were right, but he gets up and goes after the pitcher
You were right, but he started it. The majors aren’t hard balled like you think
this is what happened:
Coach: "Harper go throw this inning"
bryce goes on the mound coach is thinking: WTF why is bryce out there i ment bryan DAMN IT!
ZOOM OUT!!!!!
U got owned dude
i hate when people only look at the pitcher, i wanna see the pitcher and catcher
its funny how just by looking at the hills i was able to tell that this was WNC :P GO Nevada!
Well played...
That'd be awesome.
well played.
Seguido made it to the brewers nice
3 0 bomb....what a beast
Almost one million views and only 234 subs?
He's a beast
the background talk reminds me of the seagulls off of finding nemo. lol
that home run swing was almost as perfect as it could get, so smooth
HARPER IS A BEAST AT 2.06
Omg its so beautiful over there in Nevada, Arizona area what i'd do to play ball there instead of here in Texas.
that is a nice place to play baseball
that ball landed in the mountains
I believe this kid will break a lot of record one day if he stay on the right path he amazing hitting a 200ft 220ft do math when he turn 13 years olds just think how far the ball will go and what is amazing about he only 80 pound just turn 10 years old when people see him play they ask when his next game they follow him
Ezra Murti lol same this person drunk 🥴 😂
This kid will be humbled at some point and we'll see how he deals with it. Almost everything this kid does on field is over the top to way he put his make up on in the morning to the way he prepares to get in the batters box.
People act like him pitching is a big deal. He topped at 96 in high school and if it wasn't for his hitting ability and fielding ability I'm sure he would be pitching professionally
@deathrider536 its 314 in right because where the field is located there is almost constantly wind blowing across from right to left
Love the people saying that the fence is only 314. It may be 314 but that ball didn't go 314 lol.
He's throwing mid 90's in the outfield on a crow hop from the outfield these days . What is he from the mound
He was mid 90's back in college.
"This kid is gonna be good someday"
Lol the description is a little misleading. "This phenom can do it all!"
Correction - this phenom gets stroked on the mound. Leave him at the dish. ;-)
This is juco right?
Yes, a JC.
holy shit that's explosive
I go to that college!
Maybe.... Does that not mean that Harper is not good? He is a freaking STUD! as well as Trout! why not celebrate this time in baseball, when we have two awesome players to watch?
Harper isn't even comparable to Trout.
ATalkingBadger Uh yes he is LMAO
He is ultímate warrior
Little did he know that years later he will be making his debut in the MLB
hairy t shirt he probably knew he was a big time prospect
At 6:52 it says Trevor gott. Harper and gott play on the same major league team
wow bryce ur like ganna go to the pro's
ahhh i see what you did there!!!
Must follow RHP prospect here.
3:50 "ooh"
you were there... how fast do you think he was throwing on the mound?
so i guess we dont have to see the second at bat when he got out
Harper was clocked throwing 96 mph from the mound in high school
@sesshumuro you do whats best for the team and what the coaches tell you
This kids ok, he'll live in AA though
Calvin Shepherd r u sure about that
He's living in the MLB right now..
I don’t think so maybe single a or just get cut all together
He’s kidding guys... golly
Calvin Shepherd He is in the MLB bud and rakes
Quite possibly, we'll see how it ends up next year.
why does he have batting gloves on in the on-deck circle but not when he is at the plate?
