    God...those old Washington Bullets teams smh. When they played at the old U.S. Air Arena in Landover Maryland. The games were half empty and aside from Michael Adams and Bernard King coming off the knee injuries they didn't have much to work with. I remember having LaBradford's basketball card as a kid and thought that he was going to be a solid player. Unfortunately, Mike took exception and that's all she wrote smh. This was a trip down memory lane. Thank you JC!! I love your channel brother 🙏🏾

    • @8301TheJMan
      @8301TheJMan 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The big problem with Gill was that he suffered from horrible migraines that just took the wind outa his career. He was a around a 200 point a game scorer for his first couple seasons for the Hornets, then they brought in LJ and Zo, who both imo were phenomenal players but still weren't as versatile offensively as Gill, he had a deadly mid-range and outside shot, even better at driving to the whole, with the athleticism to then finish over big guys, plus could post up and was both a great ball-handler and passer to boot. And to top it off he was easily one of the best on-ball defenders at the 2 guard position in the entire league at the time, (eventually by the late 90's he focused on that side of the ball and while at New Jersey was considered by many to be the best SG defender. But being a more team-oriented sort of guy Kendall was, after being in a similar situation at Illinois when he played with Nick Anderson, Marcus Liberty, and Kenny Battle, he took a major dip in points production. He just was never one of those guys who was looking for his own shot the way I think he probably should have been, based on his talent and skill-set. There was also a feeling at the time in Charlotte that Gill wasn't happy and that he wasn't giving it his all, back then no one really knew much about his migraines and those who did underplayed it as being a factor for why in certain games he'd be a zombie on the court, and others where it'd get so bad he'd have to miss the game entirely. Plus media back then ginned up some bs that there was beef between him and LJ. This eventually led to Charlotte sending him to Seattle where he again wasn't fully utilized, being a role player behind the leadership of Payton and Kemp, hell in some games even behind Detlef Schrempf.
