I want to buy it as an alarm clock, So i want to know if it has their own speakers so the screen can make loud sounds or how to that works?!
does it have self awake ? (set time, wake on power, etc?)
Has anyone ever opened one up? I'm wondering if it's actually LEDs in there or is it just a low res LCD screen with an overlay? I really need to take mine apart one day and see lol
I have a transparent heart shape on the front of my backpack and i was thinking to buy this and put it in, like a DIVOOM backback.
So i can use it on my desk when im not using my escooter.
I saw some are USB and can be use on powerbanks and i do have one.
I want it on my backpack for unique features also the left and right signal too.
can it show weather and hour in the same time?

Once you commected bt Bluetooth ans set up your screen, does the Phone always has to stay connected? When you set up your animation amd turn off the BT on your phone, does the animation keep continue?
The animation stays. If you want to change it again you would need to connect via the app again.
I bought two for my small daughters' room as an alarm clock. They are so cool. Do you have any tips on controlling them simultaneously with the app? I’m noticing that they both are on, but the alarm seems to work only one at a time.

The user manual does _NOT_ tell you how to use it, the manual just has some really dark screen shots that repeat the menu names. Not once does the manual tell you how to _use_ the drawing software; which is the whole point of the thing.
Thank you for spending your time to make the video but I wish you had tried to create even a static image with some random spots on it. Now try to save it. You can't. The software is HOOOOORIBLE! This is pointless if I can't create AND SAVE my art.
hi i took almost a hour to set it up, when i scan the bar code i grabed the file of google play
I installed it and it started with a bluetooth search and connect.
Then i could not do anything for about a hour , i restarted my phone etc, i then noticed 2 buttons on the top right of the pixel display, the top one is on-off, the one underneath cycles through a few demo screens
By accident i left swiped the top heading the work connection and it went to the menu that is on the useless instruction menu
i pressed clock and alarm but nothing , i turned the pixel device on / off and it reconnected with my phone and done a update ( 2 times about 10-15 seconds each time )
now when i press time n the mobile app the pixel displays a clock, you can switch to alarm ,/ countdown / paint on the app and the pixel device responds very fast to the phone app
In the end i give the app 7/10
But the instructions 0 / 10 as it does not explain the setup and link process and also how to get the the main menu of the apps
App update it'is very cool. It'is missing pipette colors sélection.
Is there a way to use another app instead of the original like 'Divoom pixel art'? I bought one and saw the comments about the app being... not good... and wondered if thats possible
the app is also missing a search bar, I really want to look for presets by keywords..

@DediHund highly agree. The app and features are crap....hopefully they can break it as there is a github project trying to do just that

Is there anything like an API so I can send images from my PC/Mac to use it as a display for my smarthome? Divoom's Pixoo has something like that, but is way more expensive.
hi it is only a 16 x 16 display so it wont be a photo or anything
But you are correct, if you create clip art or pixel are can you sent to the device
i have only spent a few hours with it and early decision is probably ot, the software is not intuitive and for a hour i did not realise that you scroll left of the connection menu to get to the options / features,
It has a editor and you can finger paint or use a stylus paint up and save it - but import i dont have a answer for you
@@georgemaragos2378 Thanks for the info! Sure 16x16 is not much, but good enough for a couple of indicators (mini-gifs). Is there an API though - so one can automate things? Or is it "closed-source-app" only?
There's a 32x32 version too, but as bad as the software is, I seriously doubt there's any available API. The software is incredibly limited, and it makes the display nearly useless, as there's so little you can do with it. I'd commit to a more expensive option or nothing at all, personally.

I only have the one display, but I am pretty sure you can add several of them. I don't think you can send the same art to each display at the same time though.

I don't have the display but I messed around with the app. Despite having a 32X32 display the app only seems to put out 16X16. @@AmazingOrange87

It's so limited. The software is terrible. I originally found a way to add I think 9 animations in a playlist. After updates, I can only see a way of cycling through 6. And you can't even add the clock as one of the things that it cycles through; you have to pick clock mode OR animations. The only way I've found to add more animations that it cycles through is to set up a schedule, where you literally pick every animation that it cycles through and set them to specific times on specific days.
I actually found my way to this video because the software is so bad, I'm trying to see how much better the more expensive alternatives are. Like this iDotMatrix app doesn't even have a color picker when making animations; you have to just try and pick the same color as you were using before. It's horrible.
how do you access the app and connect it to the device? Its no bluetooth option ! I CAME TO THIS VIDEO TO FIGURE IT OUT! NO HELP
Make sure the device is on and when you open the app I just hit the Connection button. It automatically found it.

It is on Android as I have a Samsung phone.

I have not tried a power bank, but as long as the V & A are the same I don't see why not.
You forgot to say it's a shit app, since no way you can search!! And no way you can import others.
So you're a bit to positive. I have one and it's cheap and nice, but not pefect. I want mario and sonic animations!!! But they are not here!
Don’t know if you ever found out but there is a way To import images, just got mine and was trying to figure out the same thing

Well, you just say a lot and show very little. For a review I would have loved for you to actually show how you use it and describe the experience.
L'application est une vraie merde elle plante en permanence dès qu'on va trop loin dans les images.... Surtout dans "créativité" on fzit défiler et à au bout d'une dizaine d'écran quand don veut prendre une image, ça plante, comme les images enregistré, si il y en a de trop ça plante ect... 👹
