Wow man. It is truly impressive what you have built. I saw one of your videos three weeks ago and got so excited about it I'm taking my first flying lesson tomorrow.
Very nice set up Greg. I wish I could come knock around with you in your shop some. I’d really like to go flying, hunting, fishing, and definitely not least of all, dirt biking on our KTM’s 🤠 I’m still asking around about the monetizing thing. I bet I’ve asked Trent Palmer a half dozen times but he has never responded to any of my comments. I guess I’m not important enough. It’s a shame when someone starts thinking too much of themselves. I know he knows how to work the system. He’s a dang techie millennial. He has acted like you were a great influence on him getting into bush flying so I’ve called him and others out on it but they’re ignoring me so far. I’m not giving up!!! In the meantime I can use a few more shirts LOL!! Hang in there Brother!!!
Sweet shop setup! Before you get into covering your rudder and elevator, talk with Doug Keller. We had our 4 place up at Acme Cub and had Steve doing a few things like adding shocks & trying different props. Steve felt like our rudder was too small and had a conversation with Doug about our “extended” PSTOL flaps and the restricted airflow back to the rudder. We are planning on building a bigger rudder for ours. You’re welcome to come fly it before you make a decision. Steve and his team said they were so concerned about it they would not fly it back from AK the way it was…. It made it but it will not handle a crosswind.
Just for a second, while the opening shot of your fogged in runway was shown, I thought, "he's not going to....!" Great setup! I'm glad to see I'm not the only one to risk serious injury or death, by not having the full ROPS on my Kubota tractor, 1:51, ha ha. I'd bet you even further risk injury by having the cut off switch under the seat zip tied, otherwise every time you lift your butt out of the seat a bit, the motor dies. On the other hand, a guy I knew who had 2000 hours of WW2 S Pacific combat time in Corsairs, off carriers, and then had a 50 year crop dusting career, and then 14 years of Cub time on a ranch, with a lot of other airplanes in between, lost his arm when fooling around a tractor's PTO, pissed him off no end. I think of that every time I hook up an implement.
@@mauleguy I got flamed on a Kubota forum for posting a picture of my new L3301 with the ROPS folded down, I didn't mention the zip tied cut off switch.
Nice metal shop! Your plumber makes a hundred an hour? They say a plumber only needs to know two things, pay days on Friday, and she-i-tee flows downhill, lol.
Like nature, Shops abhor a vacuum (empty space, but I'd get funny looks from the shop when I vacuum up the mess so maybe it hates the shop vac too) . Even if you build it out to 10,000 sqft, you'll just have to go to 100,000 eventually...
Very nice workshop Greg. Was that an old Colchester lathe at the back of your shop? I have a similar one in my shop but couldn't see the name on your one?. You certainly have everything to make just about anything. Well done.
Nice Shop...do you do all the work yourself or do you have any employees? Really nice piece of property you have there Greg...has to be nice to walk to work...
Yes it has been really difficult sending to different places in the world. They are not all hard but I got tired of getting to the post office and finding out it was going to cost me as much as I was making on one of them. So I decided to just sell US. Where do you live and I will check next time I go in how much it would be.
Congratulations on developing your business and your shop! Do you have a partner or any employees? Do you have a surface table or other metrology-lab type equipment? Thanks for sharing!!
No I don't have a cmm, all my customers do their own final inspections. I inspect the parts with my own equipment prior to shipping though. I have one employee
Wow,Wow,Wow ! that's a shop !
This is who I want to be when I grow up!
Must have been a Sunday, no chips flying on any of the machines. Thanks for sharing a peek into your self-owned business.
Yeah it was one of my days off
the video i've been waiting for
Excellent
What dreams are made of. Sweet set up!
Hi Greg,

Be safe.

Thanks Rob, It's all good. I had a great weekend over at my dad's cabin and feel refreshed!

Yes, I already knew about that problem, I ordered a PA-25 vertical and I am making a custom rudder to go with it. Thanks for the offer
Any videos about starting and building your machine shop business? Would love to know the story from first Bridgeport to the newer cnc machines.
Nice equipment. Thanks for the tour.
Nice Shop. I am a Mazak Guy
Regards from Germany
Great machines!

You are so right about the zip tie. It was the first thing I did:))

Sweet! I was hoping you would do a shop tour! 😁
Man your super nice pad! Nice work.
Awesome I was just thinking about a shop tour. Thanks Greg👍
Your welcome
Beautiful!
Very nice Greg. I wish I could keep mine as clean as yours. Maybe you have helpful kids to clean.
Ha, I do a lot of the cleaning and the one employee does his share.
Nice shop. Now it explains why you so engineering inclined.
Thanks for the tour. Not much you cant master in that room
I'm looking at a 10 acre piece of land now. I'm aiming for 100,000 sqft shop that I will live above or in. Very small living space, maybe 600 sqft.

Yes, that is so true

It is an exact replica 18X 80 but no it is not an original Colchester.

It is very nice to not have to deal with the rat race. My daughters partner in crime (Jon) works for me full time.
@@mauleguy Awesome. You've made a nice life for you and your family.
Greg, Would love to get some for your DVD’s but on your site is says only sold in the US
