Hallo Toine, we bekijken met veel plezier je videos vanuit Nieuw Zeeland. De rendang en kroketten waren erg goed gelukt. Nu wilden we je vragen of je ook een keer kip-kerry salade kunt maken en sellerie salade. Dankjewel
🇨🇦 I made some Niewjaarrolletjes this morning. They are delicious and actually quite easy. I was multitasking and didn’t roll up two of them quick enough so I also had two Kniepertjes 😂
No, I use the Palmer ( amzn.to/3BpcnLM ) for stroopwafels. A waffle cone iron ends up being just a tad too thin to slice the waffle into two layers. However, with some experimenting, you can make it work. Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year!
Oh my gosh! I've never seen anyone else make these!! Our family roles the kniepertjes into a log, then chill, then cut them into coins. They usually end up round, maybe it's the coin shape?
How do you store these to keep them crispy? Mine always get chewy! Also, the recipe on the website says UNSALTED butter, the video does not. Thanks for this great recipe. My mom made these every year when I was growing up and I never paid attention. Now that she is gone, I can carry on the tradition! Happy New Year!
The kniepertjes stay crispy in an airtight container (not in the fridge). The nieuwjaarsrolletjes, as long as they are not filled with cream, also stay good in an airtight container; once filled, though, they should be eaten, because if you store them in the fridge, they will lose their crunch.
Maybe you do hot water and room temp butter so you make an emulsion with the butter and the butter doesn't break and get greasy. It's a classical technique in French cooking called beurre monté
@@ToinesKitchen By the way, I found your channel looking for a recipe for banket. I live in a town in Washington that loves their Dutch history and they found it hard to believe I was half Dutch. I think I confused them because I am brown? I was trying to remember what the almond pastry was that I would get at my grand parents when I was a kid. I kept saying it was from the Netherlands and that made them even more confused because they thought the Dutch were from Holland. 🤦🏻♀️ I'm also half Filipino, so that's the cuisine that ruled my childhood home. It's nice to see videos of foods I thought we dreams it or something I made up from visiting my dad's side of the family. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and recipes!
The titles on the screen when we go over the ingredients, have cups mentioned. If you missed those, you can read those on my website: www.toineskitchen.com
Enjoy your festive season. I have thoroughly enjoyed watching your videos.
Looking forward to seeing you soon with more recipes.
Thanks for the kind words. Happy Holidays!

Toine heb je een goed oliebollen recept voor me? Die mis ik in Amerika op oudejaarsdag. 🙂
Ja hoor: th-cam.com/video/xKXXWOZ9ZJM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=3g5XZd2orRV6lHVr
@@ToinesKitchen Dank je wel. De kletskoppen zijn ook goed gelukt. 👍
Welke olie gebruik je om te frituren? Zonnebloemolie is erg duur hier. Groetjes uit Florida.
Eet smakelijk!
Dankjewel.
Just recently discovered your channel and my suggestions for recipes I'd like to see are Babi Pangang, Ku Lou Yuk, Serundeng and Erwtensoep/Snert.
Welcome to our little Dutch/Indonesian corner of the Internet!! Some of those are on my list for this next year already!!

I have not a waffle iron, can I make normal on a pan?
What waffle iron do you use when making these? I would love to do this for my family this year.
This is a Chef’s Choice 838 - I think they’re out of stock everywhere, though. Any waffle cone iron should do the trick.

Thanks!! Reading up on Beurre Monté now!
