    I'm just learning. Testing out that "old dog , new tricks " theory. Thanks for taking some of the scary out of it.

    Nice review! This little bird also makes a good conversion into the MASH style Bell 47 or H13H Army scale heli by using Revell's 1/35 plastic model. Just remove the 977 L.G. & canopy, use the Revell cabin , bubble canopy, L.G. & tail cage and that's it.

    Neat little helicopter. Thanks for letting me try it. Honestly it flies better than the horizon micro helps at a fraction of the price.

    As always another great video Dave. I have 3 of these I normally however fly blade 230's which I have 3 of them as well. I had an incident more then once with the feathering shaft screws backing out in less then 10 flights so I used blue Loctite let it dry on the screws and never had the issue again. First one was bad the blades flew off in a hard snap out from invert :(

      +Raptor50aus Your welcome and thank you. I thought it would have been more complicated, but found it quite ingenious and simple, but just making spring adjustments. Again, thanks.

    thats the same transmitter as my v913 heli uses. I really like it myself. I plan on doing what you did for that notch. I wish I could use it for other planes and stuff. If they came up with a receiver you could place in other RC units,I would buy one.

    I prefer to knock the bend out of the metal tension spring vs sanding down the throttle so that if I ever decide to revert, all I have to do is re-bend the tensioner.

    This change is to let the heli more stable in 3D or just to take away the friction that has when sliding the stick

    I remember a movie about a woman that joined the Military to fly helicopters it was a while back but in the barracks in the movie they had a practice cyclic trainer with a flat plate and a marble or steel ball that you used the stick to pivot the plate to keep the steel ball on the plate or in the center I'm guessing it was meant to keep pilots from over correcting inputs .I wish I could see one to build one .

    Great video again Herbert :) I've found that most (all?) of the TX's that come with Chinese radios have ratcheted throttle sticks.. Awkward indeed! Lucky for us it can indeed easily be solved with a piece of sandpaper :)
    I allso had to do that on my Futaba radio though :P I think my Futaba allso comes in a heli-version though.. I assume the only difference would be no-ratcheting ;)
    Cheers & thanks for sharing!

      +DutchRC Adventures Thanks. I think it is the same mfgs who put red lights on the front of their machines instead of the logical FAA red on back. LOL. Thanks again.

    professor rc dave, this is tex again. as usual a great demo video. just saw it while researching this trx. I bought on ebay with a 977 rx. my v912 trx malfunctioned and I want to know if it can be modified to use with my brushed 912. keep the videos coming, and how do we support your efforts. $

      @NightFlyyer  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure, but those tx's are virtually Identical and if you can get it to bind, it may work. There may be some binding procedure in the manual or online, so I would try to research that. Thanks very kindly for being a long time subscriber and good luck with this.

    Thanks for your best video
    could you please making new video for flight 3d and inverted with wltoys v977?
    and help about how can know pitch of blade is really enough for invert flight with v977 heli.

  • @rodrigao2010
    @rodrigao2010 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Did you change the position of the 3d-6g swith to the idle site? but this switch has to be momentary and not fixed, in fact the video was not modified at all, it just changed the side switch and screwed the throttle teeth

    Hi Dave
    I recently bought the 977, and a few days later the 931. These are my first heli's and even though most will say you should start with a FP model these two machines are so user friendly. I also picked up an Assault 100 ( HiSky HCP100) from Hobbyking in a recent sale but this one is probably on the limits of my current ability as it runs on a 2s pack and is extremely responsive, certainly too responsive for my living room ;-)
    Regards
    Nidge

    • @NightFlyyer
      @NightFlyyer  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +sputniksam I think they are fine for beginners in the 6g mode. It is also VERY important to have someone who really can fly a heli to test it out and give you your first lesson. That first lesson is important. But if your learning on your own, crashing becomes the main lessons, and damage control comes from knowing how, where, and which way to kill i,t before it eats itself up on the ground. So I always say, learn the TX controls first. Good luck and thanks for the comments.

    Hey there,
    Is it normal for the main gear to pop off when the blades hit something, like a wall or chair legs etc. Mine keeps doing it, obviously because I'm crashing, but the first time it did it I thought there was a screw that kept the gear on but couldn't find it.
    Gary W

    • @fiddlefad1
      @fiddlefad1 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm just having a heck of a time even getting this thing to lift off without me crashing. I did watch some controler videos but I would like to see more before I continue
      Thanks
      Gary W

    • @michaelalan6459
      @michaelalan6459 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Gary Wilcox Yeah. My main gear popped slid down off of the little gold gear an I thought that I broke it and lost a piece. I just pushed it back up and it flies fine. It has happened so much that the gear flies off every time I crash now so I ordered a few more from eBay.

    you just changed the position keys and took your teeth out of friction, or made some changes to make flips and rolls in 6G mode
