I just came back from seeing this movie in the cinema and it was one of the best cinema experiences ive had. It was disturbing, intriguing and also a dark comedy. The messages, Frankenstein tone, surrealism and overall cinematography and sound design of this movie was impecable. The characters were also so rich and interesting too!! Also, I just knew mark ruffalo from marvel and I got really impressed by his acting here. (I wont even say anything about willem defoe or Emma stone cause their amazing acting was to be expected.) I cant wait for the awards it will recieve. I just really love artistic/different movies since I'm in art school myself. I will DEFINITELY be re watching this movie many times to see the things I missed. I suppose it can be a bit overwhelming to some people in the first watch Fun fact: I went in the cinema totally blind and got really surprised when they went to Portugal, Lisbon (I'm from Portugal and i was sitting in a cinema..in Lisbon lol.)
I completely agree. Very dark, but also hilarious, but also extremely real. Mark Ruffalo was great, I could also see Colin Farrell in that role, who Yorgos has worked with already twice before, in The Lobster, and Killing of a Sacred Deer. Oscar win for Emma Stone?
This film is art This film is like a view of the future from the perspective of the Victorian era I know it's based on it's own book inspired Frankenstein but it's probably the best Frankenstein in decades I get a David lynch vibes from this film
The production designs and costumes are amazing. Also fun fact: the part where Bella and Duncan dance, the film’s composer can be seen in the band that is performing.
the genital mutilation mention at the end was so horrible. sex helped bella experience freedom for the first time, and her father/husand wanted to take that away. i cant believe that happens to women in real life
That's crazy you say that, I actually said that in my reaction but I took it out when I edited it. It reminded me of Sweeney Todd a lot, especially when they're up on the roof and there is the view across the city
One of the funniest movies of the year. Both Stone and Ruffalo were brilliant on this.
Also, don't let the mustache go curly.
Hilarious movie! Haha don't worry I won't

I completely agree. It would go over a lot of peoples heads but I thought it was incredible

Really? That is a fun fact indeed!

Yeah I know right. Really scary stuff. Hard to even comprehend
It does, but not white ones.. this is propaganda to normalise it, snd ignore the fact that Muslims and Africans do this and liberals allow it..
I enjoyed this surprisingly enough I almost stopped watching 10 mins in but I am glad I watched it through.
The way I gasped at 8:55 😅😍 this man is gorgeous. All due respect 😂 great reaction
I gasped at first sight. I just wanted to watch someone react to poor things, I didn’t expect this snack.
Haha gasping at me stretching? I'll take it
the movie reminds me of sweeney todd(movie, not musical) in a good way of course. i like both!

Lobed your reactions to "Poor Things!" By the way, you're a very handsome and well-built muscular man.
Haha I appreciate it! What kind of reactions do you like to watch?
Wouldn't a baby's brain be too small for a grownup head?
I guess it can grow once it's in there? That's too far above my pay grade haha
