Very slick and sick build. I slightly modded the pocket mod with 36v razor controller with 2 makita batteries. Gave it some more ummmmph. Was lookimg into the same project with spare vevor kits. Your friemds motor mount link is out of stock. What about drilling 4 new holes into the frame with bolt and lock nut. Wanting to match the vevor 2000 with my spare ego 56v battery. However this CAOOm makes it far easier for recharging
Cool video man, I’m doing the same build right now for my girlfriend as a birthday surprise….you did a really nice and clean job. I would ditch that yellow plastic wire connector and go with something more secure even but connectors to splice the wires. I used the yellow connectors until my ass almost lit on fire because the screws came loose causing a small fire….just a heads up!
With the 15t front sprocket, 35A controller, and 30A battery, it WILL trigger the BMS in the pack, just a matter of time. My suggestion is to keep stock gearing, to help prevent this. You always want a higher cont. Discharge pack than the controller settings for more headroom. If you insist on the 15T front, I would suggest a main lead cutoff to help reset the BMS.
Thanks for the input! You think it could still be an issue with the smaller wheelset on the pocket mods? This bike is might lighter and smaller overall the the SX and MX you and I typically mess woth
@@PatOutdoors yes, every little bit helps, but main issue the is 35A demand on a 30A BMS. Sooner or later, it'll happen. A mains reset will keep her going without waiting for BMS to reset itself.
@@DescartesRenegade good to know. Maybe I’ll switch out the controller once she’s ready to get out of the slowest speed setting. That’s the main reason why I wasn’t too concerned is it’ll be half limited for a while. It’ll be an 80 lb kid riding most of the time

Hiw did you wire the throttle? The new thumb throttle has yellow and blue separate from a smaller connector with red, green, and black... The razors original connector for the throttle is 2 browns and 2 orange...
This bike doesn’t have a Razor controller, it’s running on a vevor brushless motor kit. Blue and yellow just complete a circuit for the signal wire from the battery. The red, green, and black wires are throttle, which is pretty universal for most e-bike controllers.

@@andrewfelsinger8332 I usually use Amorge batteries for MY personal builds, which obviously has more power output and quality. I have used CaoMM before, but only for budget builds like this one (being done for a friend.) There’s obviously a price gap between the two, but simply depends on what you are looking for.
I never found the Vevor or similar ESCs to have a decent throttle. The power engagement is always horrible and the "throttle curve" seems to be curved the wrong way or is maybe just linear.
The 2800 60w 11" hubs on amazon are 128 and fit the pocket mods perfectly. Run around 36mph at 48v. Great quiet little motor and frees up alot of battery space.
Hey pat jsuy wanted to let you know I do a have a hub motor it’s very torque got to about 40 with it and all I had was a 72v battery and a $40 Amazon controller. If you would like to put it into a build I would love for you to buy it off of me.

@@helicrashpro well this is simply working with my buddy’s budget.. my bikes run either on a Kelly controller, Nucular, or Votol controllers
