the fact that she went to high school and did a 180 about acting is hilarious 🤣🤣
What 180 is that? I don’t get. 🤔😅😂
@@random-accessmemory9201 She wanted to quit acting, she went to highschool and decided that acting wasn't that bad after all
@@random-accessmemory9201 Like a 180 turn. She quit acting and then went to high school and was like "...wait" and turned back to acting
I didn't realize anyone thought being a child actor was fun. In any case, she seems to be doing well, and I'm glad for her.
fr no one but other little kids think its fun
I hate the term "child actor." It automatically assumes your career comes with an expiration date, which in many cases turns out to be a self fulfilling prophecy. The ones who beat the odds were the ones who were smart enough to realize that they would have to have actual talent to fall back on when they grew up. I am not seeing that from any of the kids from this show. No, creepy adults waiting for Nolan Gould to turn 18 does not make him a great actor.
@@matthewa11 well, being a child actor kind of does come with an expiration date. Eventually you’ll become a grown up actor
I love her. She’s sweet and real. And her portrayal of Lily at all the different ages growing up was awesome. Lily was a well-written character for sure, with some of the best lines in the show, but all delivered with deadpan dry sass by Aubrey. Amazing for a child. And she totally held her own against all the adult actors. And not by being ‘cute’. Her back and forth sass with Elizabeth Banks’ character was gold! One of my fave dynamics in the show.
This was the worst actor on the show. and they had to cut around her 'performance' constantly. It's hard to watch.
If by "deadpan," you mean no acting skills. And if by "sass," you mean the stress she projected from always being in an uncomfortable situation doing whatever the grownups tell her to do, and with no acting skills, then ok.
I loved that scene with Elizabeth Banks.
Aubrey has always had a really deep voice even when she was little! This girl has grown up so much since Modern Family!
When she first started the show I thought she was a sassy, quirky little girl but as she got older in the series it seemed like they didn’t know what to do with her character.
she is still a sassy girl you're just not used to dry deadpan people. They exists and are hardly ever portrayed in media so many people feel weird when they meet ppl like her.
@@user-insightProbably that’s why a lot of people’s comments are that she can’t act.
The only way she is ever going to get more work is if something bad happens to constant woe, whoops, I mean Constance Wu.
@@matthewa11 But why can we only have one Asian actress at a time, that makes no sense. Plus Aubrey is half Asian
@@matthewa11Congratulations! This is officially the dumbest comment on this video 🥇
I’m so glad to hear they were pretty good people to her and doesn’t seem like she had the standard Hollywood child star experience.
She’s still adorable. Good for her. Nice to see someone thrive in that world.
So glad to finally "meet" this young actor. I'm so excited to see how she grows from here with all that theatre experience. Even though she grew up on sets I think there is still so much to discover about the new joys of acting as an adult. I wish her all the best and hope to see her in another project when the time is right.
Glad that she recognises that she had industry connections that got got her the part
Fascinating seeing these youngsters grow up.
so so so cute! she is the best cutest child actor I have ever seen like genuinely
Asian child actors/actresses are on a whole other level
You obviously haven’t watched any Korean dramas 😆
Try watching Pawn (2020) and/or my lovely angel (aka you are so precious to me)
Park So-yi is personally my favorite but Jung Seo-Yeon did a phenomenal job portraying a blind/deaf girl 😢
It makes me emotional and happy at the same time to see Lily grow up to be beautiful Aubrey. It’s surreal to see her all grown up, times go so quickly 😢
Love love love her...the Energy, personality and smile is everything ❤
love her!
They wrote the charaxter well, and took her nonchalant attitude into account
No, they didn't. This show was overrated trash from day one. What are you going to realize that they stole from black people and got away with it?
@@matthewa11
How tf did they steal from black people, it had nothing to do with black people
Never thought for a second that being a child actor As fun! Dont want it for my kid.
almost every actor who started as a child says the same thing - being a child actor is not great at all. I remember Christian Bale speaking about it a few times. The stress, the very intensive work hours - especially on very demanding popular shows that have 22-24 episodes per season, usually the lack of time for social interactions with your peers etc - is no fun. Sure, you earn very good money, usually, especially if you are on a very popular show or in a great movie, and you have fame which you can always use to earn more money, but the negative side of being a child actor is big. And in particular, when you are doing it for money, because, for example, your family is quite poor and you as a child start to be the main source of income in your family. that was Christian Bale's case. There was this period when his dad didn't really hold a stable job, and his mom was just a circus dancer, so they didn't have a lot of money, and Christian started to be successful child actor, so he basically cared for the whole family at very young age. That is a trauma.
I think on the one hand everything you said is true, but on the other you’re getting a short cut to long term fame and success. All that fighting that 99% of actors have to do as adults… you might not have to do any of that if you’re a child star. Even this girl, she may not be huge- but she has a huge credit under her belt… just that simple thing of people being able to say ‘that’s the kid from modern family!’ is going to get her picked over so many other actors
So love you and the whole MF family. Hubby and l look for marathons throughout the week or watch on Hulu. Take care of yourself and be happy. ❤❤❤
You call them a Muda Fuggin family? That is rude
She realizes how easy it is to make money as a celebrity.
Well good for her.
She grew the heck up 😂❤
I know I’m old and out of touch, but could someone explain to me why watching people do their skin care is a thing.
probably like watching someone do make up but as a preventive treatment for wrinkles
It helps making them relatable.
The same reason why ppl watch pranks, sports, random nature videos. Interests. You needed an explanation?
@@doxoxo779this shirt off thing has been a thing since the start of beauty TH-camrs around 2012
People like watching those videos while theyre doing their own makeup. Also some people like to learn from those videos all the celebrity makeup tips and tricks
she sounds like my grandma
❤"Lilly"
Lily was hilarious on the call
I was ready to roll my eyes a little, but the end changed my mind. It’s great that her former costars support her efforts, and keep in touch.
She is my whole reason for watching that show
Nickelodeon is basically like Jodi and Ruby Franke 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The ginger one 😮
W.C. Fields. " Never work with animal and children."
Kids aren't supposed to work by nature, if cos it wasn't fun for her, even adults hates their own job
Great. Lilly is 16. I guess I'll just go casket shopping since I'm going to need it soon.
They all seem to end up in bad way as adults. The list is endless.
She ended up fine lol
Lily?
Exactly
Lily.
Like Cam on the farm... Liiiilllllllllyyyyyy!
Personally, I never thought it looked like any fun at all.
How pretty has she grown up.
I seen all my poor classmates and said nah ill just be famous
She only sixteen?
Dang she looks older 😮
It's called growing up.
And these comments may be why we shouldn’t have children in media
@@Cashhhhewi would of assumed she was in her 20’s. I don’t think they meant it as an insult.
@@Cashhhhew she could be 21+ and still present older than her age, its not a shady thing, its just an observation
@@EmelyPhan I agree. She still looks older…21 years old
Laughs in Gary Coleman and Dana Plato dying young, Todd Bridges getting racially profiled after getting molested by his manager, whom his parents believed over him, and Emmanuel Lewis losing his house because Paramount is stiffing him on money they owe him for his show. Not to mention Chad Allen quitting the business to work in the mental health profession.
Oof! Way to make me feel old E!
Duh
we dont think its fun, we actually think its unnecessary... we dont need child stars that go to Disney and then become music pop artists like all the rest,. in fact, we wish you'd stay home and live a normal life.. because we dont wanna see you when you grow up.. we dont care about Zendaya and how "great" she acts and looks.. which she isn't...
Waaaaat? It is?
This is news?😂
Yeah, but E! News.
All good. She doesn’t have to work a day in her life again.
Am I really this old 😕
I didn't like that they made her child character disrespectful. I always disliked that kind of character on TV series
Edgy smart mouth people especially young ones get attention.
they did a not so Asian Move on her
She obviously didn’t have any fun, she was awful
This was the worst actor on the show. and they had to cut around her 'performance' constantly. It's hard to watch.
I had a feeling they changed the actor because the 1st one wasnt that good-looking.
She cant act. Tbh. She is like the weakest link in that show
Stella can act better than her 😂
I thought she was hilarious.
What
TBH She started really young (and still is) and probably didn't know how to during the first few at the time. You are bashing a kid who probably didn't know how to and would rather be a kid than work like an adult but with restrictions.
Yeah, shame on her for being a child daring to act...the nerve.
Thank god she realizes that she can't act and stop acting.
I dont like her voice🥴
No one cares
Ok Sami
Also love how supportive her co-stars were, which definitely helped her to grow as a person.
0:38 the answer is nepotism lol
Normal kids pay to go to theater camp while she got to launder money 😢😢😢 poor thing.....😂😂😂 she has never worked a day in her life. HOLLYWOOD is a drain on the LEGAL ECONOMY
Are you d**b? She was working since she was a toddler. She had to learn lines, spend hours repeating them, while pretending to be someone else. I agree, Hollywood is a waste of money, but child actors should be something you - who is against Hollywood - should be against as well. They lose their childhood to fantasy. Just get out of your own bubble, Marie.
