    Excellent demo of this axe, in fact the best out there, really clear about the million different options and what they do :) Sweet liquid playing too. Neat trick at 16:20 wouldn't have thought of that...

    After close inspection,This guitar appears to be what is my actual guitar, (numbers and wood grain pattern match)…. Cool. 🤘🏻

    When BC Rich first came out in the late 70's early 80's, they showed up in our local music store...someone broke into that store and grabbed a couple of guitars...the story is he ran out down the street, dropped one of the guitars, which was this sweet darker wood guitar...I think it might have been made of Koa with two thin pieces of maple flanking the neck thru...I had looked at that guitar before, and was in good with those folks there (still am even though I don't live there anymore), and they let me take guitars home for a day to play to see if I liked it...some I bought, some I didn't. I took that one home before it got sidewalk/ road rash damage...I went in and was like "what the hell happened to this guitar???"...and they told me the story...even dinged up, that is one guitar I regret not buying...oh...it was a mockingbird...

    One of the best reviews on a classic guitar re-issue I have seen yet, dude. I have always wanted a BC Rich and this model may be a good start since original guitars are going for $4-5K on the web. I second this clip to your Lee Malia's Explorer review: I got that Explorer since I viewed your clip.

    played this guitar at a Guitar Center store Korean made and yes it played extremely well and I thought that it was a neck through but like someone had put here it's a long set neck but it is basically very close to being an extra room in terms of the way it feels in the upper register you wouldn't know the difference but the action was fantastic had a Floyd on it played very very very very well Korean made some what's foreign-made I've only become something of a fan of foreign made guitars accepting them finally and I haven't been disappointed in this one and not many am I disappointed and there are those but this one wasn't one of them

    Yes Sirrr. I have an older one made in Korea. I took out the baritone thing and put in a jb in the bridge and a 59 in the neck. But I love mine however I really like the color of the new one from China. Its a darker red. Although mine has a flame maple top.

    it's actually a long set neck. an almost neck thru if you will. I should also point out a few things about the various "Mk" series at the top of the series are the Mk9 & Mk11 they are the same level of guitar, both are neck thru. the Mk9 come with fixed bridges and the MK11 have Floyds. the next tier down are the Mk5 & Mk7. again these are the same level of guitar. both are long set neck. The Mk5 are fixed bridges and the Mk7 have Floyds. the the lowest tier are the Mk1 & Mk3. they're bolt on. Mk1 are fixed bridges and Mk3 have Floyds. there are some exceptions in this lowest tier. Essentially there are 3 levels/tiers of guitars.

    This varitone thing can really make this guitar sound like Brian May's Red Special really. The "screaming" first position of varitone sounds like red special neck+middle out of phase, bohemian rhapsody solo you know. The second position sounds like Brian's middle + bridge in phase or like les paul /SG both pickups with neck tone rolled of and the volume of neck around 7-8 and bridge up full. Very usefull feature...

    Picked up one of these today for $200 from a dealer. That's a steal. I always liked playing with ALOT of variation controls just for fun This is a good review for the most part. Mockingbird is a kewl looking design, but they are "Head heavy". I designed another guitar for myself which is a combination of an Iceman, Mockingbird, and Bich. Well balanced and super kewl looking.

    I'm trying to find out which model I currently have. In appearance it looks exactly like this with the exception mine has a deeply quilted maple veneer top that dances in the light. Also has an equally intense matching headstock. The truss cover just says Mockingbird and is made in Korea(not China). It doesn't say ST or MK at all so I'm not sure what model this even is? The pickups come with the standard BC Rich logo. The digits of the serial number are, E08040708 if that tells me anything.

    I don't know if it is a rule in Gi that you have to sit down when you rewiev guitar 🎸. Because I think that this kind of guitar is not made to sit down with. Odder wise good rewiev

      @ernestopicazo189 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      pedersenist all the bc rich shapes are actually really comfortable to play while sitting and actually feel like they were designed with that in mind, perhaps the only exception to that are the zombie and wave shapes

  • @riheg

    Please don't review BC Rich. They have no respect for customers. My BC Rich went out of tune after ONE chord due to the tuners being unable to hold the tension of standard tuning and drop D until I could lock the nut down. Also the strings slipped out of tune at the Floyd end after the nut was locked. Worst Floyd EVER. couldnt handle one dive bomb. U could not play more than twelve notes before you had to spend five minutes adjusting. Worst guitar I ever had. I just cant forgive scamming customers but thanks to social media rumor spreads quickly when companies make crap. I wonder y they take that chance.

      Can you please do a quick experiment? Take an adequately thin but sturdy lever, like a hex key or screwdriver, and stick in in the tuner's hole. Now try to turn it. Does it turn?

      you can't judge all of their guitars by the one lemon you happened to buy. I have four BC Rich guitars and 3 BC Rich basses, and their all excellent instruments. Any guitar company can let a few duds slip by QC, but there's really no need to get all bent out of shape over the one guitar you deemed unworthy. They aren't scamming anyone.
