Isn’t the FED taking capital from that stimulus fund off the books does that effect the monetary policy data?? Or is that not apart of the money supply data?
The Bitcoin Spot ETF hopes are creating a buzz in the market. after adjusting my portfolio accordingly, I want to say thanks to Cathie and the ARK team for keeping thing interesting.
Great video. I think that the velocity of money is going down is because the M2 per person is in a long term trend up.
I would love for Cathie to have a conversation with Charles Hoskinson, I’m pretty sure she will be blown away by the knowledge and wisdom Charles has for the blockchain sector.
I’d like to see her talk to Dr Craig Wright, thousands of patents, mostly blockchain, held by nChain.
Dear Cathie and team, I do have a question. If people invest into bitcoin instead of growth/innovation stocks, would that mean less capital access for companies in the innovation space, and overall a net loss to the pace of innovation?

Chair Powell indicated at first FOMC meeting should the Federal Reserve over-tighten they would 'powerfully use our tools' to correct course. When pressed at the US Banking Committee, about fiscal policy in context of prevention of wide-scale unemployment Powell again reiterated "it may happen that way". When asked to clarify again stated "it may happen that way".
The intent for fiscal policy/QE at closure of this tightening campaign was expressed from the moment Fed began raising rates.
Unrelated, but an observation worth noting Fast Food Chain Mc Donalds has recently returned to using bold 1970s style-packaging, design and colour on its food products this year. In a striking departure from prior modernisation of its logo and design.

Minority Report: JPow won't change rates through 2024. FED rate around 5%, inflation around 5%, what's not to like? The T10Y3M is STILL negative. After it goes positive, watch out.

The fact that M2 has contracted must be taken in the context that such contraction is a drop in the bucket compared to the insane expansion of M2 in response to covid. Trying to contain the effects of this unprecedented infusion could be a challenge for years to come. Further why is no one talking about the effects of continued trillion dollar budget deficits on longer term inflation and interest rates? When the blinders come off the result could be painful. Also re bitcoin, even Dutch tulip bulbs had some intrinsic value. He who laughs last laughs best.

If commodities prices are the same as the 80s and the prices of goods and services are certainly higher , maybe you could give us that % increase next to your commodity prices index and explain where all that money went? A decentralized currency is a bad idea. Any medium of exchange needs stability which can only be provided by a powerful centralized entity. This entity must be able and willing to act on the environment in which the their currency is being utilized so that people can TRUST the currency to retain value and usability. Cryptocurrencies rely on no-one, on nothing trustworthy and thus they will forever remain instable until they reach zero in value.
wouldnt giving it a spot-etf give it that stability? the free market is in a way a centralized entity, if btc goes to 0, that would mean it would have absolutely no purpose or function, but thats also not true as btc has the function of currency, and now with an etf you have eliminated the possibility of btc's status being banned or blocked by the government..
Don't really agree with the strength of the dollar. Housing prices where I live have almost tripled since covid. Gas and groceries are higher, and I don't know how I will survive in 2024. Everything is more expensive and I earned much less in 2023 than prior years doing the same thing. People aren't going out as much and are spending less money so there is less demand for my services. Inflation is killing the average consumer. We have definitely been in a recession. Even the Dollar Tree isn't the Dollar Tree anymore. It's like $1.50 Tree!
