Okay quick tl;dr. The giant armor guys are Astartes (A-Start-es), aka Space Marines they are genetically and cybernetically enhanced supersoldiers of the Imperium of Man, THE human empire of the year 40000. 7-8' tall weighing almost 500lbs after augmentation. They were half ton powered armor that is mostly impervious to small arms fire, and is actually better at stopping energy weapons. Their primary guns are called Bolters. They fire the Bolt, a .75 caliber bullet that becomes a self propelled armor piercing explosive after being fired. They were designed to kill something a hell of a lot tougher than humans. The cracked eye piece reveals part of the auspex system, a suite of sensors visual and auditory built into the armor. They are many times stronger, faster, and harder to hurt than a normal human. The blood he throws up at the end looks odd because they have artificial enhancements that almost instantly clot blood and seal major injuries. The metal studs on his forehead are 'service studs' these are marks of long service. Gold equal 100 years, silver equals 50, so he has served as a space marine for more than 200 years. How long an Astartes can live is incredibly variable, some are well over 1500 years old and look just past middle age, some haven't visibly aged in 3000. But as they are the special forces sent where regular troops are not going to do much good they are in near perpetual combat so their mortality rate is quite high so its hard to judge.
@@imaginision I would definitely start with Bricky's vids for that. Most of the others assume a knowledge base his primers provide. And he's funny as hell.
@@imaginision it's all thanks to the God-Emperor of Mankind, who himself is roughly 12 feet tall and functionally immortal. If you wish to dive deep in 40k lore bricky is great for lore and having a laugh
@@imaginision yep Bricky is a TH-cam channel. I suggest watching Every single 40k faction, the 2 part video is long but that's just how much lore there is
Those guys are kinda like Cpt. America, but the size of the hulk, clad in a future version of Iron Man's armor. Oh and the guns fire self propelled, mass reactive shells (when they detect enough mass around 'em, as in they've penetrated far enough, they explode). They have rediculous reflexes, enhanced hearing, night vision, fast blood clotting, 2 hearts, 3 lungs (surgically implanted) and other fun stuff such as the ability to spit acid. They are insanely strong and more to the point, reheally hard to kill. But with the frankly silly amount of OP Xenos (aliens) and literal demons dicking around in that universe, they have to be. GL in the journey into the lore! Once in it, you might not get out of the rabbit hole 😀
Cpt America but built like hulk with iron man armor ….geezzz that’s a crazy combo. Crazy guns…3 lungs 2 hearts and night vision!!! Yoooo why are they built like this 😂😆This rabbit hole has some depth to it.
I just love seeing people getting amazed by 40k, good video. I see it is 1 month old and you may have already delved into it, so i hope you're having fun with it. And if you didn't knew already at 10:53 it's basically an "exorcism" by 40k standards.
Thanks so much I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I haven't fully dug deep into it. Some people have suggested 40k warhammer content to watch, actually what do you suggest to I should watch?
@@imaginision The comments have already made a good suggestions already, Bricky's video for a general description. In my opinion, since there so much i'd suggest you take a look of the faction/s that catch your eye and then delve into it and then jump onto another. On the other hand you could what are your preferences: do you like high tech? or do you prefer a more savage and brutal society? do like mysticism and trickery? biological horrors? I could recommend a faction to check out. I also suggest, after you have gotten a general view of the lore you check a series called "If-The-Emperor-Had-A-Text-to-Speech-device" which also explains lore in 40k but in a more parody and comedic way but certainly enjoyable.
You're 🙏 welcome.😊 thanks for the shoutout man! Complete fealty to you now haha subscribed and belled. Ill keep the cool videos coming. Also its pronounced uhstarteez.

Warhammer 40k is an icon of human creativity and imagination. Truly a spectacle to witness. I'll recommend some more to you in unison. Love the react my guy. It was fun watching someone else be exposed to something I love.
