I lived through the Big Dig but I didn't know a fraction of the things this pod cast has discussed! Fantastic work by all that have put it together!
Every episode has been phenomenal! Looking forward to the next one!

Same here -- but it was barely on my radar. It was an ongoing background noise.

Without Fred, the Big-Dig project would have never happened. Fred is a true big idea visionary! Thank you, Fred.

Peter Z. asked the question about what the next big visionary transportation project should be. The next big vision for vehicular transportation into Boston is the reconstruction, widening, addition of permanent HOV lanes both north and south all day long, of the Southeast Expressway from a reconfigured Rte. 3 interchange in Braintree to connect to the Big Dig improvements terminus. It is very achievable with minimal disruption to the community but will require a short distance relocation of a portion of the red line and moving Savin Hill Station to the south, which are the two biggest bottlenecks to the plan, but it is totally achievable. Make the 9 mile drive a 9-minute drive instead of a 1-hour drive!
