I was working at NATO HQ when the Shah abdicated and the Ayatollah Khomeini flew in from Paris and took control. And when the 'students' stormed our embassy and held the staff hostage for 444 days. And when President Carter attempted that disastrous rescue attempt. And when the jet carrying the released hostages left Iranian airspace DURING President Reagan's inauguration. The Iranian gov't loves their little games on the world stage. Allowing them to achieve nuclear capability would be a grave mistake.

A true leader first of all should stay away of being under alien power protction and secondly should have a strong sense of patriotism, dignity, and high moral values so that he not to side with a foreign government against his own homeland, which logically not interested in his country's integrity. At best, this guy is just a miserable bootlicking puppet happily serving his masters.
I was born in Iran and were there till my late teen years. So, maybe I have a bi-focal view here. This lady and many people in US government are basking in what happened in Syria. Things maybe go that way for all I know, but same US government shouldn't forget what happenes in Iraq, Afghanistan and Vietnam around 50 years ago. The arrogrance in her thinking and attitude is so apparent. As I said, I am not talking form an American point of view (young boys get killed there and all). I am talking about Iranian lives, damages to the infrastructure (roads, bridges, refinaries railroad, airports, etc.) in Iran. People don't know what NATO did to Yoguslavia. Belgerde electrcity generation was wiped out and country literally went back to 19th century. Another comment about comments by my Iranian Expats that left comments (usually positive toward her). She or anyone who isn't Iranian (even most Iranian who leave outside Iran (like you and I), doesn't get negatively impacted or hurt by US or Isreal attack Iran. Please don't forget Iraq after 2003 and Gaza since 2007. I dont' like the current government in Iran and haven't been back to Iran for decades (not exaggerating). Having said that, I don't think, my dislike of government justifies to subject Iran to military attacks. My two cents for what it worths. Remember what happened after US left Afghanistan? Taliban back to power. Not here to convert anyone or change anyone's point of view, just very concerned about Iran's infrastrucuture. Whatever is built in Iran, remains there regardless of who is in power. There is this famous railroad bridge in Iran (forgot that name) that was built during the time of father of last king, but it is still there. Food for thought.
Military attack on infrastracture will not do anything to this regime as we have seen they have no problem keeping the power when more than half of the nation are dying of hunger in Yemen. However, making a deal also is not going to solve anything it rather will give the regime time to revive itself. The only correct thing to do is to support Iranian people through diplomacy and let them take care of this regime. Trust the peaceful transition of power that could happen if the west supports Iranian people rather than making deals with this regime.
I'm Iranian Zarief he is a big layer with Smalling change regime and Kic to Molah. We love my country and my people back to freedom and we love Majesty Raza Pahlavie.
So let me get this straight-you want to bring "freedom" by handing the country over to someone who has never even run a small business in his entire life, let alone governed a nation? And somehow, that's the grand plan for saving Iran? I mean, seriously, how does that even make sense? You’re putting your faith in a "Majesty" who has zero experience in leadership, decision-making, or managing real-world problems? That’s beyond hilarious-it’s outright ridiculous! If running a country were that easy, we’d all be monarchs by now. But hey, if blind nostalgia is your thing, who am I to stop you?
As an Ex CIA Assistant Deputy Director of Operations, Miss Pula Doyle is forgetting to shed some light to how we all got to where we are today. If we go back to 1979 Iran's revaluation, when Shah of Iran was thrown from power (which was decided in the Guadeloupe Conference that took place in 1979 in France between the US, Britain, Germany and France), and replaced by Khomaini (Religious leader living in exile at that time), followed by the 8 years Iran-Iraq war backed by the US and supported by the west and Russians, being imposed on Iran to destroy what was left of it's superb military power, the 5th strongest in the world and first in the region, wakening both Iran and Iraq's economy , making so much money of selling tons of weapons by many western countries including the US to mostly Iraq during the war, then in the past few years using Iran as a threat to its neighbors(Which it has been) and selling billions and billions of dollars worth of weapons to the Saudis and Emirates, and on and on and on. Iranian people have been suffering for the part 46 years because of the direct influence of the west specially the US in the regime change of this country, so let us not forget that, and I am sure Miss Doyle is very well aware of the US destructive foreign policies ever since the WWII, that caused many democratic elected regime changes around the globe , and lets not forget that either. Hypocrisy to the max. This is part of the new world order, and Iran is the last puzzle, for now! Peace.
As an Iranian American, I find this woman’s comments about Iran misleading. All of her salary has been wasted, and I believe she’s relying on Persian friend as she mentions. Defending Iran, fighting ISIS, supporting Syria’s request, and responding to Israel’s missile attacks on Iran’s embassy are these really considered terrorist acts!!?? Meanwhile, Israeli, Saudi, and Emirati actions in Gaza, Lebanon, and Yemen aren’t seen as terrorism? Zarif is not the VP of Iran, and his position in the government is controversial, appointed by Pezehkian while he was campaigning for him.
As an Iranian who is staunchly opposed to the current regime in Iran, I find the tone of many Americans and Western nations towards Iran deeply troubling. Iranians take immense pride in their rich history and culture. While we strongly oppose this government, any threat to our country’s infrastructure-whether civil or military-would swiftly unite us against those perceived as aggressors. To sit comfortably and suggest bombing or attacking sites in Iran is not only morally reprehensible but also blatantly illegal. Consider this: if a nation with a history like yours-marked by colonisation through genocide, racism, slavery, Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and countless interventions in other countries since 1945-began discussing your country in such terms, suggesting bombing or targeting your military or nuclear sites, how would you react?
Deal with exporters of violence is juvenile, it's wrong, it's distructive. Iranian dictatorship will wait for end of Trump leadership and go back in exporting regional and global instability again. It's time to remove Islamic dictators and let king Reza II resume democratic, system as it's in great Britain, parliamentary monarchy ❤
warmongers are at work . ask her to tell one sentence of truth about what CIA did to Iranian since 1975 . their operation with Saudis in Afghanistan to empower extremists , their part in 1979 revolution , their part in USSR attacking Afghanistan , their part in Iraq attacking Iran ...
To respect your guest, the biggest terrorist in the world is the US government from the Hiroshima atomic drop on innocent people to Syria, Afghanistan, and Yemen to over 70k Palestinians killed by US bombs today so we should ask your guest if she is denying or doesn't want to speak the truth! As much as the mullas regime is horrible for Iranians this regime among another unfortunate embarrassment of Iranians in pleauto for the last 9 millennia. Your guest just has some ideas and she thinks she knows about Iranian culture. Zarif is a horrible weak politician he would sell his country for his role and he is not much different than Trump. Trump all bout Trump is the same for Zarif.
Stop lying TROLL. America had two wars to win, and thank god Japan and Germany lost. But that was 80 years ago, and it's irrelevant to current events. Japan is a friend of America now, as is Germany, so that destroys your whole argument. You're obviously not very bright.
You know, it's funny how people talk about Iran without even acknowledging the obvious-why do you think Iranians are so actively trying to protect their region? Have you ever looked at a map and seen how the entire area is littered with U.S. military bases surrounding Iran from every angle? It’s not paranoia; it’s reality. When a country is constantly under threat, encircled by foreign military presence, and facing non-stop sanctions and pressure, of course, its people are going to push back. They’re not just defending their land; they’re struggling to breathe under this suffocating geopolitical game. But sure, keep acting like it’s all about ideology or some random internal issue-because acknowledging the bigger picture would just be too inconvenient, wouldn’t it?
Defending their land against whom? They’re trying to kick out the occupiers, the anti Iran, Nationality and few thousand beautiful culture and they will, without any foreign military intervention. Other countries are either with Iranians patriots or murderer, thieves and rapists occupiers. they wont forget real friends and direct/indirect enemies.
Please do not negotiate with the ayatollahs. There is nothing beautiful about negotiating with a terrorist regime. This lady is so naive. Enough is enough. 46 years of hell for Iranians.

One pilot was captured and one want lucky and crashed with his air plane.
@@mikenazem6772 . the war started because the west and even USSR , and Arab countries encouraged and bankrolled Sadam . They thought Iran was weak and they did not want to miss the opportunity . That is the same mistake they are about to repeat this time around . i am not aware of the Iranian air force incident. there has always been skirmishes between the armies of 2 country , but i know for certain that Iraq invaded Iranian territories first . During the 8 years of war , except for couple of instances , Iranian were on the defensive.

For the benefit of both the Iranian and American people, I hope the CIA has a clearer understanding of the current situation in Iran. The regime is on the brink of collapse, yet the commentator described it as powerful and intact. What she seems unaware of is that any deal with this regime guarantees its survival and further fuels its machinery of repression.
Iran gets its power from its people, you have no clue what is happening in Iran and what is true or not... this propaganda is lie from your country, all countries have problems and as I see no difference!!! Deal or no deal with usa is a just a game nothing more....as we saw it for 45 years and still Iran has its own government which is strong!!! As an Iranian I like to tell you that Iranians support their government 100% and they show that to the whole world by going to ballot box every 4 years and voting.
This is really weak and frankly waste of time. It does not touch upon any of the real issues. Re negotiations, I really hope that president Trump and his team go with their instincts in the next three months and completely bypass all these bureacrats and academics who would otherwise edge us closer to war than piece by their armchair utopian thinking.
Any deal will be good for the islamic republic but very very BAD for Iran!! The islamic republic will NOT use the money for the Iranians AND IRAN!! Any deal is is bad for the Iranian PEOPLE!! DO NOT DEAL WITH islamic republic and GGIVE THEM MONEY!!
It is the west that desperately needs a deal with Iran, Iran has already moved on and is now a member of BRICS and is not as isolated as you may think anymore, but if western powers start respecting Iran by not interfering in Iranian domestic affairs and start building mutual trust, then Iran may be open to starting a new chapter in relations with the western powers.

American should make a deal with the Iranian people but not make a deal with the current regime in power managed by an old and ruthless leader who boasts about cheating and deceitful American leaders. Like she said you can’t separate the terrorist mindset and ideology of hate of the regime from the guy in the suit speaking English at Davos. Like she said Zarif would not admit to regime’s weakness because he is a liar. Whatever he says is a lie because in fact he can’t guarantee that the regime would keep its promise. The regime is run by many interest groups and Zarif has no control over how each of those groups would perceive any deal he makes once he returns.
@@johnjobs3027 we have had ethnicities for centuries and each have their own language and culture. That is a national pride not a reason for partitioning. Diversity is strength not a weakness.
It is commendable that the President places his trust in his own instincts and intuition, rather than yielding to the simplistic counsel of certain so-called experts. Take, for instance, this particular individual, who remains woefully ignorant of Javad Zarif’s diminished standing within Iran and mistakenly conflates Zarif’s desperate appeals for the resumption of nuclear negotiations with a supposed weakening of Iran’s position. In reality, Zarif’s pleas are born of his efforts to salvage his tarnished reputation in Iran, a reputation severely compromised by his unwavering support for the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and its calamitous unraveling under President Trump. In contrast, numerous astute experts contend that Iran’s strategic position is, in fact, stronger than ever, bolstered by its recent agreements with Russia and China. The President’s recent statements reveal an acute and discerning awareness of this evolving geopolitical landscape, underscoring his astuteness and command of the situation, which he grasps with remarkable clarity.
Oh, how disappointing to hear Paula Doyle speak of making a deal with a mullahs. I can see she has a good understanding of the situation in Iran. I’m surprised to see that now that we were able to crush Hamas, Huthies and other IRGC proxies why would we even consider negotiating with the Islamic regime? The supreme leader, and his regime is the eye of the octopus. Deal or no deal the Islamic regime is on its last leg and people of Iran are ready for a new government.
The Iranian people are actually very welcoming and hospitable, with a deep history that goes back to the dawn of civilization. Most Iranians genuinely wish to have better relations with the world and to live in peace. As for the Ayatollahs, they don’t even show mercy to their own people, let alone the rest of the world. By the way, have you ever wondered how someone like Khomeini, living in exile in Paris, managed to return to Tehran and take control so quickly? It’s an interesting question to think about.
IM DISGUSTED BY THIS LADY , SHE IS TALKING ABOUT MAKING DEAL WITH MULLAHS , WHY IN THE HELL YOU LIKE THIS REGIME TO STAY? SERIOUSLY NOT EVEN A WORD OUT OF HER MOUTH ABOUT WHAT IRANIAN PEOPLE WANT !!!!!!!!!!!!! AREN'T YOU ASHAMED OF YOURSELF? STOP MAKING DECISIONS FOR THE PEOPLE OF IRAN .
You are absolutely correct and I apologize for my oversight. The Iranian Govt is no more a reflection of the Iranian people than Pooty is representative of the Russian people. My most sincere apologies.
I believe when it comes to Iran and Iranians, you need many more facts with proper sub details in order to understand the peeled off truth. With general comments and sentimental information this interview is not practical
How about dealing with Iranian opposition without endangering Americans soldiers lives and using tax payers money? unless, keeping chaos potential in the region, spending Billions of Dollars and endangering US military officers/soldiers lives are preferable and profitable by petroleum corps and weapon manufacturers/suppliers.
I don't understand the fetish of negotiating a deal with a suppressive and brutal regime that has the blood of the Iranians, people in the Middle East, and Americans on their hands. If you are being practical, it would be way more advantageous to think of ways to support the Iranian people in their strive for democracy by helping them topple the regime and replace it with a secular democratic government, something that the majority of the Iranians hope for and a good number of them fight for. This stabilizes the region, allowing the nations to live in peace and prosperity. The illusion of making an effective deal with religious fanatics in power in Tehran is abhorrent, impractical, and fanciful!
We may have our own internal challenges, but perhaps you should take a hard look at your own far reaching interference in our region. We’re still grappling with the devastation caused by the wars your masters set in motion.
I am so impressed by Paula Doyle and her overview of Iran and stunning details she knows about the subject. The only comment I can make here is that now a days, it is almost impossible to make a private deal, especially with a regime like the Islamic Republic of Iran. 🙏👌🌹

excuse me, Long Live which PAHLAVI?
do you mean the one who was put in power by the British and then, after few years, the British themselves drove him out of Iran in disgrace?
or do you mean the one who was so cowardly that the British exiled his poor father to Africa in disgrace before his eyes, but he didn't dare to say a word?
or maybe you mean this idiot who living in a country that betrayed and stabbed his father in the back?

💯 %
Military attack on infrastracture will not do anything to this regime as we have seen they have no problem keeping the power when more than half of the nation are dying of hunger in Yemen. However, making a deal also is not going to solve anything it rather will give the regime time to revive itself. The only correct thing to do is to support Iranian people through diplomacy and let them take care of this regime. Trust the peaceful transition of power that could happen if the west supports Iranian people rather than making deals with this regime.
We have Trump who will be negotiating, he is a tough negotiator
Iranian people don’t want military support but support of Iranian movement
Who are you speaking for?

Liar not layer
So let me get this straight-you want to bring "freedom" by handing the country over to someone who has never even run a small business in his entire life, let alone governed a nation? And somehow, that's the grand plan for saving Iran? I mean, seriously, how does that even make sense? You’re putting your faith in a "Majesty" who has zero experience in leadership, decision-making, or managing real-world problems? That’s beyond hilarious-it’s outright ridiculous! If running a country were that easy, we’d all be monarchs by now. But hey, if blind nostalgia is your thing, who am I to stop you?
Iranian government is absolutely happy to have such opponents like you and your Majesty.

Peace.
Well said!
Yes, Iran is the biggest terrorist country at the moment. Not a healthy gov.
Awesome.
Thanks
Also that would be hurting the people, the regime is on its last legs and will be gone soon

Very I’ll informed lady. When was the last time Iran in the last 200 years ,attacked another country ?
Iran , Iraq war , although every one believes that Iraqis started the war but in reality it was Iran that was sending and supporting Shiea s to revolt against Sadam , two months before the start of war Iranian Air Force lost two fighters jets inside Iraq territory.
@@qmarsmars2305From Middle of summer of 1980 to one week before start of war ( When Sadam lost patience with Iranians intrusions ) 4th Tactical Air Force Base in Dezful was providing air support to IRG forces crossing border to Iraq , during this period Air Force lost two F5 E in Iraq’s territory, one pilot was killed and one was captured ( his name was Lt , Housian Lashgary ) , Sadam kept him as POW as a prove who really started the war for 16 years .

Looks like you are as blotted as your nonsense friend.
What's going on right now is terrifying
The Iranian people are actually very welcoming and hospitable, with a deep history that goes back to the dawn of civilization. Most Iranians genuinely wish to have better relations with the world and to live in peace.
As for the Ayatollahs, they don’t even show mercy to their own people, let alone the rest of the world.
By the way, have you ever wondered how someone like Khomeini, living in exile in Paris, managed to return to Tehran and take control so quickly? It’s an interesting question to think about.

No she is wrong. No deals should be made with Islamic Rep.
Good conversation
That part of the world does not have the bullying put forth by Trump and the genocide Netanyahu and Biden.
What's wrong with this antique woman?
We may have our own internal challenges, but perhaps you should take a hard look at your own far reaching interference in our region. We’re still grappling with the devastation caused by the wars your masters set in motion.
