I find it really hard to fight for or stand up for what I think is right, but after hearing you talk about your experience and how it only seemed to strengthen you, it sort of gives me a little inspiration/courage to start doing that more often
Without you, there were no Sick Puppies. The moment I heard the news of you being out of the band, I jumped ship and went looking to find out where you might be to continue following your work, which is how I then found you through Twitter, Twitch, and of course here as well. Always adored the music you wrote. I was/am a Shim fan.
Shim was the band, sick puppies is one of my all time favorite bands. Its such a shame they weren't able to continue. Thanks shim for all the fantastic music that definitely came from the heart.
Hey Shim, My name is Shane. I want to thank you, and I want you to know that YOUR words, YOUR lyrics, and YOUR passion has honestly saved my life, countless times. I have been a fan of yours (including Sick Puppies when you were the lead) since Welcome to the Real World debuted two days before my 8th birthday. I had already been through some severe trauma before I found your music which was part of why I was listening, so not only did the words hit me to my core, they gave me words to describe the pain that I was going through. As I grew older, my toxic and abusive environment got worse, along with my life as a whole. More abuse, more trauma, some partying and drugs. In my darkest moments, I’m talking crisis, loss, grief, wanting to end it all, your music, alongside Linkin Park and Papa Roach, were and still are some of the musical anchors that keep me going and give meaning to the suffering. Your words, your music, helped me to regain my identity within the chaos of my life and not let the world define me or mold me into what it wants me to be. Until they cut you, Sick Puppies was the answer I gave whenever someone asked me what my favorite band was, and Shimon Moore is the first answer that I give when someone asks who my favorite songwriters, guitarists, and vocalists are. There’s not a single song that you’ve written (either in the band or on your own) that I can’t relate to in one way or another. In between toxic and abusive family, toxic and abusive relationships, my accomplishments, my failures, not letting the world kick me down and keep me down, how to wake the hell up and so much more. I’ll be 30 this year, and out of all the artists I’ve ever admired or listened to, your lyrics are the most authentic and real. Whatever you decide to continue do from now on, know that your words have saved lives, and your talent and passion is recognized, I believe your future children will be beyond proud. I’ll be a fan and continue listening to your music til the end. Thank you, Shim. I hope you do see this someday. PS: The band ended when they lost you, that’s just my opinion.
@@shimonmoore2486 Your music will always have a part of my life. I am beyond grateful, and there are genuinely no words that can express how much I appreciate your reply. Keep touching hearts, saving lives, and being true to yourself. No true fan would want it any other way.
@@shimonmoore2486 hello this is Chris Sloan , I live in Torrance CA. I met you in Springfield MO at a concert with my wife. We came to a place for acoustic deal u did through radio station Q102 Tripolar tour. Sadly me and my wife split in 2014 and I moved to California for dreams loving west coast since a child, had a lot of ups and downs trying to make it out here. Me and you sat and talked in between your set and u handed us tickets for the show that night, u said get a baby setter lol we were upfront. I still listen to sick puppies a lot and wished I could meet u again one day. Your music was legendary and a great inspiration with heart. A lot of memories come flooding back the certain songs in my wife loved from your band Sick Puppies. You made SICK PUPPIES SICK PUPPIES . Chris
I'm late to the party here, but sick puppies got me through some crazy times in my life. I remmebrr doing security at the frwsno fair grounds and you guys were playing, and instead of jsut strolling by me like everyone did, i was at rhe director's hall, in a suit, you guys waved at me and I said im a huge fan then you told me to meet you guys at the autograph booth. I wanted to so badly and should have, but I'd have gotten fired for that. Thank you for that amazing memory. The band is not the same without you at all. God bless brother!
Better late than never I say! Thank you for the kind words @JakesVooDoo! I will be touring again very soon. Hopefully you can make it out and we can properly meet. Keep an eye open for dates!
Brother, the album, "dressed up as life" had so much passion and spark into it. It really got me off through some real hard time. You were absolutely brilliant in that, I loved 'tripolar' as well it was amazing! And your individual work has been really great too. All I can say is, it's so great to see you speak here and hear your thoughts about this. Keep rocking! Wishing you good health and much love from India 🙏
One of the best albums in history! Not a single "meh" song, they're all great! A fantastic experience to go back to and listen to the whole album again and again.
When he said he was used to being abandoned, I 100% relate to his experience wit that. Most people in my life have just been temporary, as are even some periods of my life.
When i was a kid i dragged my dad (before he split) 6 hours to come see yall in ATL...when yall were going strong After the show.... At the merch booth Emma and the other guy were in and out sitting down and doing it for the exposure etc.. But YOU were at the merch booth standing up and meeting EVERYONE the whole time...not just "hi" "bye",but actual conversations...parents,kids, security, you even gave me a free shirt Fans can tell who loves the fans and who sees walking dollar signs...you love the art and the fans I will follow whatever you do
Your songs Too Many Words, All the Same, There's no Going Back, Odd One, all helped me cope with some troubling times. There's No Going Back in particular helped me find strength in moments where I felt walls closing in. Sick Puppies will always have a special place in my heart.
Saw SP in Indianapolis at The Vogue very shortly after you came to the US - you were so full of energy and it was a BLAST. I remember finding you guys on the Rhapsody app and I was SO hooked. Feels like yesterday but I’m now 45 and I must’ve been 27 then. Time really flies. Years later coming out of a hard breakup, I really leaned on Tri-Polar for a release and distraction. Thank you for SO many hours of entertainment and joy my friend!!!! ❤
Your lyrics got me through high school. So glad to finally hear YOUR side of the story. I have always connected with you through your lyrics and feel like we are one in the same. Keep up the great work Shim. Always here to support you.
After hearing the news about the band breakup, and throughout the past few years, I kept checking in to see if you were up to anything - I was very curious to see what you would do. Today, a Sick Puppies song came on Spotify, and I remembered how much I loved the band’s music, in particular, your voice & songwriting. Decided to look you up again, and found your solo album Shim. Absolutely loved it!! My favorite song is probably Kaleidoscopes, but there are so many other good songs on the album. I was very happy to know that you’re still making music, and to hear about everything in this video. Wishing you the best in future endeavors and look forward to anything else you work on! I’ll support you 100%. Thanks for all the awesome music!
I totally forgot to mention I used to make Sick Puppies song covers on TH-cam, and some of those songs to this day I can pick up a guitar and still remember how to play them. (I wouldn’t recommend watching them, they probably haven’t aged well) 😂
You are the reason I go do OpenMics regularly. You gave me words of encouragement when you saw my guitars on my wall during one of your private Zoom shows in 2020. You asked if I sing in front of people, I said no, and you said “you’ve just gotta put yourself out there and battle through the fright.” Thanks Shim.
I think in 2010 or 2011 i think they were trying to find a fourth member. Or it was another band i can't remember. I remember it was two guys and a girl. They came up to me at the Trinity club in Saint Robert, Missouri. I sang shinedown's 45. A hard song and I was told I nailed.
Shim still replaying to comments shows how much he cares about all of this. I was very confused about what happened to the band, I just found about them a while ago and loved the vocals on the first albums! I hope you the best and I'll be waiting for anything you come up with and listen to it
Late to the party, but you will forever be a personal music inspiration to me. Came and saw you in Akron, OH back in 2019 when you were promoting the new SHIM album and it was like watching the band the got me into wanting to do music in the first place all over again. Keep it up brother, got a fan for life.
Your vocals in all the same still give me chills all these years later. Dressed up as life is one of my "go to" albums to grab a cigar and cruise around in my car with the stereo cranked up. Thanks for the great music 🤘
"All the same" is a song I ripped from the free hugs YT video that I still have on my "forever awesome" playlist and every so often I check for a remastered version... today I found a bunch of Sick Puppies albums I didnt know existed (I moved countries with just "All the same" guiding my journey... and when I saw a new album coming 2025 I went back through (found the older albums like tripola and HATE myself for missing them somehow bunt bingeing now with your new stuff!)... then went to find comments on the official band video about why its not on streaming or apple music. FINALLY found something saying you were "kicked out" ... then found this. Yes, we care. You are the heart and soul of those songs, and they still bring us right back to moments in time qe needed them thr most in the snap of a chord progression... sometimes we need them now for a different reason. Your creative investment has not been wasted... but apprwciate your honesty and vulnerability about the situation. Thank you for sharing what was so isolating about certain times... some of us are facing those and need to be reminded to keep fighting :) Just... thanks for sharing with us where you are now, Shim! I hope for remastered versions of that old album somehow amicably though... inspire new generations to pick up instruments and learn through their fav songs like you and I learned through Silverchair and Tom Morello etc :) Some ppl got through hard times with some of those lines (I dont care, no I wouldnt dare... to fix the twist in you) ❤
Dude I went through this in 2022. I was booted from the band I started for no good real reason. These were people I thought were good friends, friends above all else. It was pretty hurtful in the way it was handled. We could have talked it out and figured out a path forward but it was like a weird coup where they all turned on me. My one bit of solace is they've done fuck all since I left and are now down to 2 members.
Funny enough, I remember discovering your music through the Tekken movie that licensed "You're Going Down" for the intro. Your band was the first modern band I got into when I was like 10.
BROTHER, you dove off the stage @ higher ground in Vermont and you landed on top of my friend group and it was FUCIKING EPIC, We got you up there!! PS this was like 2010 or somewhere around there
Wow literally every single issue you spoke about here literally resonated with things I am currently hardcore paddling through in my life. Your words and actions are inspiring my man. Just like the amazing songs you wrote. Thank you
This is Amazing. this is such closure to meeting the band i could feel the energy when i was a 20 something turd wanting you guys to sign my shirt, i felt like "jeez i really guess that was one big mess and i just keep wondering why things were tense with you all like i had done something wrong" but feels so good to know "your not a prick" as you said. i feel so proud to have that shirt again signed by all 3 of you. just feel like these incomplete feelings is complete. Thank you for this truly.
The first band and show I ever saw was Sick Puppies opening up for Velvet Revolver in Trenton NJ back in 2007. Truly helped inspired me to really get serious with guitar playing and all these years later I still am. Met you guys during the intermission at the show, and still have the ticket stub you signed for me. A night i'll never forget, thanks Shim!
Always wondered what happened now i know dam shame man. I could just imagine what y'all could have done in 2024 if y'all were still together. Love your other music and definitely will be following for more bangers. Love and respect a fan for life
Shim, I just want to say I seen you and Sick Puppies live at X-Fest in 2007 and 2010. You guys were my favorite band at the show. You personally rocked it and you really knew how to get the crowd going. Dayton always had REALLY rowdy crowds. Glad to see your still creating man. Stay at it!
That band died without you Shim. After all that, SP damn near disappeared here in the states. Even if they did re-emerge, I couldn't get myself to pay attention if you weren't front man. Just like 3 days grace fizzled out without Adam. Certain front men just make the whole attitude of the band.
@@shimonmoore2486lol I only listen to the old stuff buddy, love your work and everything you do, keep it up! I was too young when SP was touring so please get out there and live YOUR dream so I can fulfill MY life long dream of the first concert I go to being yours!
SP is like Three Days Grace. The vocalist left and it turns out it's not that hard to find a new one. No hate to shim, good old times are still good, but new stuff is even better
The new Sick Puppies single brought me here. It stinks & has 3 words in the entire song, even though I waited on & off for them to release something. I'll always miss ya Shim
The new singer sucks. I never purchased that album because they don’t sound like Sick Puppies anymore. I seen Sick Puppies twice in Salt Lake City, you rock Shim!
I'm glad to know that you fought until the end, and keep making music Shim, you're great!! do not forget !! Your music from Sick puppies until now that you are as a soloist, helped me a lot in life, and I want to continue listening to each new material you release, I wish you the best and continue like this!! long live rock!! Greetings from Argentina! 🤘🤘
You’re one of if not my favorite artist. You helped me through tough times because of your music. In particular, all the same and there’s no going back. You’ve kept your head high and have been an amazing role model to people even afterwardsMuch love to you bro.
Shim, Sick Puppies was one of the biggest bands of my teen years (still big for me, I have Connect in my car CD player at this moment). I saw you all play in St. Louis, MO at the Pageant 10 years ago, you played with Adelita's Way and Three Days Grace. You were a FANTASTIC force on stage. I still remember so much about your performance. I know you hear this stuff all the time but your art has influenced me so much and gotten me through very tough times. Tripolar was the first album I bought with my own money when I was 16 and I cherish it very much. I didn't know you were still active, I'm excited to check out your non-Sick Puppies catalog.
I saw SP in that month of final touring together. I did the VIP and have pictures and precious memories. And I am damn glad I did because I had no idea that would be the last time. This video is exactly what I needed for closure. The old SP still plays at our house. 🤘🏽
I went to two Sick Puppies concerts here in the Netherlands. What I fondly remember after the shows, I went to you Shim, and the other members didn't even blink an eye towards me or the rest of the fans. You were always still open, friendly and talkative. I even remember the first time you were sitting alone behind a table and the other members weren't around. I went up to you and you were super friendly and chatty. And after this video, i get the complete context of being able to speak out loud. Thank you for your honesty!
If you happen to see this, that's fantastic. I was just looking the band up to listen to your music again and I happened to see this video. I knew you'd left but never knew why. You guys were one of the first bands I ever saw. You opened, I believe, for Devour the Day in Missouri (USA) way back in 2013. Easily one of the top three bands I've ever seen live and I still come back to your old Sick Puppies songs from time to time. Appreciate you for your time with the band, hell of a vocalist.
The lyrics to "Dressed Up as Life" just rolled through my head the whole way through this interview. You won't be thinking of causes; you're on your deathbed and dying... you'll only be thinkin of...
It's "What are you looking for" and the line goes "You won't be thinking of cars when you're on your deathbed and dying" because the song is about hoarding money and things instead of focusing on what's important, and realizing it at the very end. Still accurate though!
@@MertaOdSimsow Wow, you seem so condescending. "Dressed Up as Life" is the name of the album. If he's saying "cars," that's not what I've heard or read, but OK.
Honestly, not happy the band broke up, but I'm super happy for you and standing up for yourself in the end. I also love how you spoke about your family in the interview! Best wishes for you brother!
I always wondered where you went after sick puppies. I was in middle school when i first heard you guys, off of a WWE soundtrack no less. I begged my stepdad to go get the Tripolar cd for me. Im happy youre still making music all these years later!
I’ve seen you guys live two times but it was years ago and you guys played in Orlando house of blues and you guys rocked. I even got a shirt signed by you guys. I will admit it’s not the same but your solo work is spectacular.
My wife and I saw every saw every show in Houston. Always got floor tickets and clawed our way to the front! You said you liked a necklace my wife was wearing at a meet and greet. She took it off and gave it to you. You modestly tried to refuse but we insisted, and you put it around your neck. Sounds silly but was so cool to us! We introduced many people to the Pups and brought many to the shows. Still rock our autographed merch! Big fans in Texas!
We absolutely care! Wish you all stuck together because I loved going to your shows in Pomona CA every year. Understand these things happen and glad to see you still in music!
i got to see you guys in omaha, nebraska so many years ago. i wish i had been there in the moment when you guys where there. i really love sick puppies music when YOU were in it. but i'm happy you're still making music. "odd one" still has such an impact on me all these years later. and "all the same" still gets to me. fuck man. thanks for your music dude. im just getting into all your stuff after sick puppies.
"Maybe" and "There's no going back" will always be two of my favorite songs. Uplifting in times when I wanted to give up. I really hope you're doing well.
I’m so glad you’re still making music. I’m always gonna be a huge fan of yours. Your music helped me get through the absolute darkest and worst times of my life, just me and my headphones. Keep doin you man. You’re awesome
Man, you are sick puppies! Nothing can change that. I hate to talk poorly about your former band mates and former friends but they just sound like they were toxic and controlling. They sound like they heard you writing a song that wasnt part of the band and took it too personally and went too far with it. You're one of my favorite vocalists if not the favorite and im rooting for you! I love listening to your new music and you singing your old music. I hope amazing things happen for you because you deserve it! Whether solo or with a new band! A lot of the success of sick puppies was due to you so i know that the success will continue for you and i think they really messed up for not keeping that talent within the band and finding a way to talk things over instead. You are part of the reason they are successful as well so its just kinda dirty on their part also to do that when its possible that they may not be standing where they are standing right now if it weren't for your contributions also
I'm not sure if you actually watched the vieo but its pretty clear Shimm has almost ZERO intention of getting the band back together they did him so dirty XD. Its like literal explosive diahrrea bad in Shimm's morning joe level of wtaf. In the way they cut him out of the band. Like theres ways to end things civil and this is like a 2021/2022 American Civil war tier of just no fluffs given. I would not be surprised if Shimm would respond with. A I would have considered returning maybe 3 years ago when things were heated and I gave a damn. But now, now theres really no going back. XD. Like no offense Meric the song "There's No Going Back." totally hits differently. The literal hook is: There's no going back When life's a loaded gun, you pull the trigger, trigger There's no going back The past is in the past Thank God it doesn't last forever There's no going back F*ck that going back There's no going back F*ck that going back
Its pretty clear that single was Shimm's exit hidden within the lyrics and that Shimm probably had a feeling there was no way of fixing it and the band just proved his hidden message. And further proved no one in the band was really reading deeper than what sounded good.
The first time I heard "You're Going Down" was before an FSU football game. That song is electric. You've got a great voice. It sucks that the band broke up, but I admire you for sticking to your principles.
Shim, I saw you in Twin Falls Idaho, and it was amazing. You're a beast on vocals. I saw the Sick Puppies again 7 years ago, and it was dull and boring. They are not the same without you.
As much of a Good job Bryan is doing, nobody replaces you. It's the same reason why Sepultura is not the same without Max. And now with Emma joining Evanescence, sadly, i can't see anynore albums coming out. Your 4 albums are helping me rediscover my passion for music.
Sick Puppies came to my hometown of, Fairbanks, Alaska a few times. The first couple times I wasn't of to attend. Then I straight up missed it. The 4th time was when Shimon was replaced. The show was incredible and had a great experience, although, I'm sure I wasn't alone in wishing Shimon was there. I finally got to see the band live, but he wasn't there. Bittersweet
"Dressed Up as Life" and "Tri-Polar" are brilliant! I still listen it sometimes. I was also on your Saint Petersburg show back in 2014. It was first and only show in Russia just before you broke up... Such a luck that I got chance to see you alive before band collapsed and before everything! To be honest it is such a shame that Sick Puppies doesn't exist anymore. But thank you for that two albums. They are part of my past.
I'm sorry, Shim, but the moment I heard the band essentially forced you out of the band, back when it happened, and I was a frequent follower on your group's Facebook page, I honestly couldn't support them further. I think that was absolutely disgusting and disrespectful. I'm just fortunate I got to see you guys tour before you split (and even got to meet you outside the venue. You're a super chill and cool guy). Anyway, you seem to be doing well and that's super awesome your vocals are featured in the theme for Resident Evil 2 Remake. Meanwhile, Sick Puppies faded to obscurity and all I hear is crickets lol I do pray one day ya’ll patch things up. Oh and btw, Connect is an AMAZING album. Dressed Up As Life & Tri Polar, all three are in my top 10 favorite albums ever
Sick Puppies have made so little progress since losing Shim, that Emma actually joined Evanescence as a full time member. I'm honestly more excited for her work in that band than for whatever Nu-Puppies do. Meanwhile I can't wait for new SHIM songs
Hey Shim, good to know your side of the story. I remember in that time when you "left" the band I was so pissed off that I considered myself a fan until the Tri-polar album and never listen to them again. Greetings from Colombia.
Hey Shim, Im glad you spoke your truth. Dress up as life and Tri-polar are albums I relate to alot! The pain the happiness the fight. I saw you play years ago in west chester pa. Such a great performance! Thank you for doing what you do!
Reminds me of the song you sang "You're going down" Define your meaning of war To me, it's what we do when we're bored I feel the heat comin' off of the blacktop And it makes me want it more Because I'm hyped up, out of control If it's a fight, I'm ready to go I wouldn't put my money on the other guy If you know what I know that I know It's been a long time comin' And the table's turned around 'Cause one of us is goin' One of us is going down I'm not runnin' It's a little different now 'Cause one of us is goin' One of us is going down. You're a great person and will rise above this Shim. Keep your head held high.
Love u bro! ❤ Glad to know that u stood ur ground when the band weren't willing to budge and make amends. Once I heard about the breakup, SP was dead to me granted I still bump the music u did with them haha. Regardless, I'm stoked to see u still being present in the music scene and looking phenomenal doing it. ☺️
Shim just remember the people that love you and appreciate who you are and what you have done. We love more than just the band work and your projects. You are an awesome human being. One of the greats.
Hey Shim, Im pretty late but I see you still respond every once and while. I've really liked your music, new and old, and will be seeing you in Katy this October. I hope theres no bad blood between you and the others. rock on man!
So cool to finally hear from you on what the heck happened!? I am not the most hardcore Sick Puppies fan but I was really starting appreciate the music y'all made. And then bam! Every once in a while, over the past few years, I'd try to see if there was any update on what happened? Just last week(10/23) I went to SP wiki and it said the reason Shim was fired was because he tried to dissolve the band. I was like whoa. But now hearing from you directly, it makes much more sense. Sounds like things are still not great, but hey Blink just got back together so who knows!?
Kinda reminds me of the same thing with Adam gontier when he was in threedays grace , without the og singer then the band is just a cover band that’s how I always saw it
I'm in your course, Shim, and my daughter is a huge fan of your 'former' band. Knowing this, I find your choices to be admirable. I'm excited for you as you embark on new things. Are you still acting, brother? Just focusing on music? What's the plan? Asking for a friend. ;-)
shim. saw you in omaha and we pointed at eachother crowd surfing. met you about a year later in omaha ne for the album release of the last album. I met you 4 times that day. broke my nose at that show. and I remember what you've done for me
I was front row when you popped champagne. we saw eachother at best buy. I'd love to reconnect. I moved from Nebraska to Hawaii. same big crazy change of world. hope you and your family are well Mr. Moore.
Really love all you do and am glad to see you stand up for yourself! Love Sick Puppies ever since I heard the name on a childhood show I used to watch called House of Anubis and knew some of the songs. I have also been in the situation where I was not being myself fully because of what people thought I was like and stayed quiet so there was no judgement. I finally realized in the past few years that it is important to stand up for yourself and keep going no matter what others think because only you can make yourself happy. Friendships come and go but the true friends are who except you for yourself, try and see your point of view, make you happy, and work things out in the end. Keep being you and keep creating amazing, inspirational music that always helps me through. =)
It was a long time comin' and the tables turned around. One of you was goin, one of you was goin down. You weren't running, bet they got the message now. Sick Puppies was goin, Sick Puppies was goin down. Love brother.
I find it really hard to fight for or stand up for what I think is right, but after hearing you talk about your experience and how it only seemed to strengthen you, it sort of gives me a little inspiration/courage to start doing that more often
You got this man
Without you, there were no Sick Puppies.
The moment I heard the news of you being out of the band, I jumped ship and went looking to find out where you might be to continue following your work, which is how I then found you through Twitter, Twitch, and of course here as well.
Always adored the music you wrote.
I was/am a Shim fan.
It’s the same with three days grace lmao I don’t even like them now sounds so wannabe
TRUE. 💯☝️
@justingirard4156 I agree, after Adam jumped ship 3DG is just pop rock. 😂
@@Tremonti604new stuff is even better. Nostalgia is good, but their new albums are way ahead of old one generic 'Im so depressed stuff'

How can you prefer a manager above such a great singer?! Biggest mistake ever

@@MertaOdSimsow spot on
What do you think about welcome to the real world, connect and shim bro?
Wish they’d pop the album back on Spotify
yes, fav album. dressed up as life.
When he said he was used to being abandoned, I 100% relate to his experience wit that. Most people in my life have just been temporary, as are even some periods of my life.
The 🤮🐶will never be the same I love Emma and Shim's chemistry
When i was a kid i dragged my dad (before he split) 6 hours to come see yall in ATL...when yall were going strong
After the show.... At the merch booth Emma and the other guy were in and out sitting down and doing it for the exposure etc..
But YOU were at the merch booth standing up and meeting EVERYONE the whole time...not just "hi" "bye",but actual conversations...parents,kids, security, you even gave me a free shirt
Fans can tell who loves the fans and who sees walking dollar signs...you love the art and the fans
I will follow whatever you do
Thanks so much man. Stay tuned here. There’s gonna be more music coming:)
Bro he actually replied to you. That is fucking awesome
I saw these guys three times, once was in Atlanta several years ago.
(I wouldn’t recommend watching them, they probably haven’t aged well) 😂
This is really kind of you to say. Thank you very much man. Looking forward to getting some new stuff finished for you:)
You are the reason I go do OpenMics regularly.
You gave me words of encouragement when you saw my guitars on my wall during one of your private Zoom shows in 2020. You asked if I sing in front of people, I said no, and you said “you’ve just gotta put yourself out there and battle through the fright.”
Thanks Shim.
Check out www.shimsmasterclass.com if you are music maker man;)
And thanks for the kind words
Shim
Your vocals in all the same still give me chills all these years later. Dressed up as life is one of my "go to" albums to grab a cigar and cruise around in my car with the stereo cranked up. Thanks for the great music 🤘
Thanks very much!
I mean I love Emma and Mark, but the band isnt really Sick Puppies without Shim
That’s kind of you to say
I hope for remastered versions of that old album somehow amicably though... inspire new generations to pick up instruments and learn through their fav songs like you and I learned through Silverchair and Tom Morello etc :) Some ppl got through hard times with some of those lines (I dont care, no I wouldnt dare... to fix the twist in you)
❤
I hope you guys hash things out someday, sometime before the sand runs out.
Keep rocking Shim.
Shims sick puppies was awesome!!!! Seen him solo what an awesome show.......
Stay at it!
Thanks for the kind words man.
You're an amazing singer, and I miss hearing you in Sick Puppies. It'll never be the same!
That band died without you Shim. After all that, SP damn near disappeared here in the states. Even if they did re-emerge, I couldn't get myself to pay attention if you weren't front man.
Just like 3 days grace fizzled out without Adam. Certain front men just make the whole attitude of the band.
Without you there is no sense in listening to SP anymore...
You could still listen to the old stuff right?!?!! Lol
@@shimonmoore2486 that's what am doing :) I Iove your new songs by the way! I wish you all the best!
@@shimonmoore2486lol I only listen to the old stuff buddy, love your work and everything you do, keep it up! I was too young when SP was touring so please get out there and live YOUR dream so I can fulfill MY life long dream of the first concert I go to being yours!
Yeah, I just tried too. Couldn’t do it. Just not the same.
One of my favorite guitarist and songwriters of all time. I’m glad to hear you’re in a healthy environment
Thanks man. Come and check out the birthday stream tomorrow at twitch.tv/shimmusic if you want to say hey! Tomorrow 5pm pst ;)
Thanks so much for the kind words man. I hope you like my new stuff also.
I saw SP in that month of final touring together. I did the VIP and have pictures and precious memories. And I am damn glad I did because I had no idea that would be the last time. This video is exactly what I needed for closure. The old SP still plays at our house. 🤘🏽
Seen these guys open for Chevelle back in 2010. They tore the place up! So much energy on stage. I’ll never forget the Say My Name cover they did 🎸
Shimon Moore fronting Sick Puppies was a core part of the 2000s being the greatest era of music for me.
Shim deserved better. Love ya dude
I remember seeing y’all live and the connection between the three was incredible. My cousin knew the band and it was the first time ever hearing y’all
If you happen to see this, that's fantastic.
I remember when All The Same came out. I listened to it probably a billion times. 😬 still love the song!
Shim was Sick Puppies.
Man, I had no clue that they broke up. You're going down is my favorite song from them. I love the way the bass guitar sounds in that song.
I’ve seen you guys live two times but it was years ago and you guys played in Orlando house of blues and you guys rocked. I even got a shirt signed by you guys. I will admit it’s not the same but your solo work is spectacular.
Proud of you Shim, you will always be a Sick Puppy ❤.
I really can relate and will continue to support your music and career Shimon. Thank you for all your hard work.
Riptide and All you Zombies are 2 of the most iconic songs of the past 40 years!!
i got to see you guys in omaha, nebraska so many years ago. i wish i had been there in the moment when you guys where there. i really love sick puppies music when YOU were in it. but i'm happy you're still making music.
You are skilled AF, the world is yours. Can’t wait for new stuff man.
*You* were Sick Puppies. The band was nothing without you.
because he is or was toxic person. Few other artists has a beef with him years agr
@@Bulskyyeah I was about to say I wonder what the other side would say
You know that I know why Emma was so adamant about Paul being the manager.....
You are part of the reason they are successful as well so its just kinda dirty on their part also to do that when its possible that they may not be standing where they are standing right now if it weren't for your contributions also
Shim you are amazing. You inspired me to pick up a guitar.
Sick Puppies with Shim>>>>
Dressed up as life was my favorite album. Now you can't find it anywhere. Managed to get it again on eBay of all places
Come to a show so I can sign it for you;)
After the singer left I can’t get down with sick puppies, this dude was sick puppies
I miss the band together! Seen you guys three times. One time I held you up in the air while you played!! It was so awesome!!!
You guys should come back and make an agreement we love you guys and emma .
The literal hook is:
There's no going back
When life's a loaded gun, you pull the trigger, trigger
There's no going back
The past is in the past
Thank God it doesn't last forever
There's no going back
F*ck that going back
There's no going back
F*ck that going back
Its pretty clear that single was Shimm's exit hidden within the lyrics and that Shimm probably had a feeling there was no way of fixing it and the band just proved his hidden message. And further proved no one in the band was really reading deeper than what sounded good.
Thank You Brother. This is inspirational.
The first time I heard "You're Going Down" was before an FSU football game. That song is electric. You've got a great voice. It sucks that the band broke up, but I admire you for sticking to your principles.
I loved seeing up here in Alaska! I was so sad to hear about the break up.
Hey shim just wanted to say we support you. We hope to see y’all make amends one day but till then we support you . Thought a reunion would be dope
Tha k you so much for the support bro. Working on new stuff in Vegas right now!
Well sick puppies is shit without you
You really did handle that whole situation well, and I hope to have that same type of resolve if ever in that type of situation.
I play the acoustic version all the time of odd one ❤ thanks for your love and energy put into it all 🏴☠️
Sick Puppies came to my hometown of, Fairbanks, Alaska a few times.
There will most likely be a reunion soon. I just saw Emma live last year play bass with Evanescence when they were touring with KoRn!
Meanwhile, Sick Puppies faded to obscurity and all I hear is crickets lol
I do pray one day ya’ll patch things up.
There simply is no Sick puppies without you. Period.
Prick or not, shim has awesome vocals and is the reason “your going down” is one of my favorite songs
Ugh heartbreaking ❤️🩹
Hey Shim, good to know your side of the story. I remember in that time when you "left" the band I was so pissed off that I considered myself a fan until the Tri-polar album and never listen to them again. Greetings from Colombia.
Hey Shim, Im glad you spoke your truth. Dress up as life and Tri-polar are albums I relate to alot! The pain the happiness the fight. I saw you play years ago in west chester pa. Such a great performance! Thank you for doing what you do!
Reminds me of the song you sang "You're going down"
Define your meaning of war
To me, it's what we do when we're bored
I feel the heat comin' off of the blacktop
And it makes me want it more
Because I'm hyped up, out of control
If it's a fight, I'm ready to go
I wouldn't put my money on the other guy
If you know what I know that I know
It's been a long time comin'
And the table's turned around
'Cause one of us is goin'
One of us is going down
I'm not runnin'
It's a little different now
'Cause one of us is goin'
One of us is going down.
You're a great person and will rise above this Shim. Keep your head held high.
Always appreciated yalls work. Looking forward to what both partys have moving forward
Kinda reminds me of the same thing with Adam gontier when he was in threedays grace , without the og singer then the band is just a cover band that’s how I always saw it
incredible story Shimon
I'm in your course, Shim, and my daughter is a huge fan of your 'former' band. Knowing this, I find your choices to be admirable. I'm excited for you as you embark on new things. Are you still acting, brother? Just focusing on music? What's the plan? Asking for a friend. ;-)
It's crazy that a band would choose a manager over the singer.
shim. saw you in omaha and we pointed at eachother crowd surfing.
met you about a year later in omaha ne for the album release of the last album.
