We moved to Finland in 08 I'm from the Vaasa area on the west coast and spent 14 years in England working in the Audi network. Had a good few car launches at Millbrook and some other places. Now we live in the village where I grew up and my English wife has settled well into the life here, now speaking both Finnish and Swedish. Our son actually goes to uni in Lappeenranta and it is a beautiful town.
Test driving cars in the Finnish Lapland. Sounds like a dream to me :D I'm sorry you had to move. I've moved to Lapland as well, though just from Southern Finland, and I work remotely for a Finnish company, so it's pretty nice as well. I get to have a good job while still being surrounded by beautiful nature and proper winters. And I totally agree about the South feeling far more stressful and busy. Every time I am visiting family, I feel really anxious and stressed about all the noise, traffic, and masses of people. Then when I go back to Lapland, this sense of peace and calm just washes over me. I never get tired of that feeling.
Great to hear your background and story, enjoyed the video. Sounds like a good balance of life and seems you work for an ok company. Would have loved the opportunity but sometimes you have to compromise 😉. Loving the member videos 👍
Thanks for sharing and very interesting. Need to tell us your story from the uk how you got started in the Motortrade. I left in 2014 and sadly i wont be going back either.
You done the right thing fella. It's sad to say but the UK isn't the place it once was. Massive unskilled immigration, government that's one of the worst yet. The older I get the more I enjoy being away from the city 😊👍
nice (short) biography! the company where you work now...looks very professional, has also a nice webshop...(when i had a bmw e61, i added it to my favorite bar for backup purchasing) Phoe....finland/artic winters...is to much for me. I prefer some daylight time. Cold is not the real problem...(you can put your clothes on for it) I"am glad to live in the Netherlands....is it perfect, well yes eventually...are there issues? hell yess...but hey, who am i to solve it, i help people an do what i can. Living in/near big citys have them disadantages what your mention.
@allmech_BMW_fault_finding it's amazing the amount of testing za Germans are putting in their cars. I would like to now if tesla or Chinese barnds are doing the same. I'm pretty sure they aren't. So the price difference I believe is justified.

Dude you're a great storyteller. Lappi is such a magical place even if it can be really rough.

Summer in Lapland is wonderful. Long periods it can be very warm.
