This would seriously give me purchasing confidence. Wow.

Inside pros closet. Very cool to see the maintenance that goes on after receiving a bike. The bike appears to be a SL comp not a evo but the previous owner installed pathfinders tires. Seems it would be nicer with the road tires.
Going to share this video with friends I’m encouraging to get road bikes so they the see they can get a great used bike from pros closet.

That's both the pro and con to the bikes we get: previous owners usually tinker with them and we try not to change much or swap in new parts, so you get some unique setups!

Thanks! Cycling "hipster technician styling," much in evidence. :)

The SL 1.1 motor is on 34nm, do you find it copes well enough?

@@AreWeDust Hi bro, The SL 1.1 motor is powerful enough, and the assistance does amplify your ride. The motor’s torque is perfectly in-tune with normal riding, and you can also keep your cadence low so you are not spinning out on those steepest hills. I do have plans to test the Creo on a 30 degree climb and trying out the capability of doing it in the 3 different modes, wish me luck. 🤜🏼🚴🏻‍♂️

5:36 Final inspection seems to happen before the chain got replaced with the correct Shimano one, otherwise nice video

This bike was put in a stand 5 different times with 5 different techs….wow.

You could say that our techs' skillsets are pretty...specialized.

Can’t really tell here, but I really hate someone putting a new chain on a dirty drivetrain

Every bike gets thoroughly cleaned before we even start inspecting, we have to make sure we're not missing damage because it's hidden under dirt!

The number of people involved in prepping that bike is mind blowing?!? There is no evidence that suggests a 12-speed chain cant work on an 11-speed drivetrain, the otherway round for sure. Slapping on cheap cork bar-tape on an sworks is a travesty - where is the supacaz? Lastly your tech should have identified that running 38c gravel tires on a set of Roval CLX deep section wheels is a serious conflict of interest, thats not OEM at all.

Please enlighten me. How can I inspect my chain to know if it is a 12 or 11 speed. I did go from a 12 cassette to 11, and have had a chain replacement, but did not know there was a chain difference. Would love to be able to verify. Also there might be an app for number of links and stuff based on the front sprocket, but I'm unaware of that as well.

@@jamesconnelly2544 11-speed chains are 5.5mm in width, 12-speed are 5.3mm. You absolutely can use a 12-speed chain on a 11-speed cassette, just not the other way around. Chain length is measured by wrapping the chain around the biggest cog at the rear and front, splitting the chain where the shortest point is, but adding an extra 2-links. (TH-cam is your friend for a demo).

@neilk22 that's a really great explanation. Thank you.

The customer should be able to do the updates. I don’t know why we cannot. Bad idea and may make me not buy one.

Agreed, it's kind of ridiculous that you can't update software yourself.
