    impressive that this footage is coming from "shitty" tiny 8mpix sensor. that shows how much a software / firmware raw decoding stuff is important.

    Forget the corners. The whole is what matters and it just has a great film look. I guess the dropped frames are down to the 7-series Snapdragon in the Mi 11 Lite. From what I read, the upper Mi 11 and the Ultra with series 8 processor hold up better with Motion Cam.

    Excellent job, nice framing, composition, Amit!
    Applauds for big effort fixing and making in post to look fantastic! Given that originaly this lens can record in 1080p and looks big crap on native camera app, the manufacturer should feel shame that they're not fully using the hardware and giving consumers a working end product.
    Was this 11 Lite 4G or 5G version? Have you did conversion to dng's internally or externally?

    • @Amit_Kattal
      @Amit_Kattal  3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Thanks. Yeah it was big pain to fix all issues in post. This was the 5G version. I converted DNG externally since it took less time. I had around 75 videos recorded on my phone which was around 120GB of data so made no sense to convert on my phone.

    wow, this doesn't look like it was recorded on a smartphone at all. Welcome to the new era of mobile cinematography. Excellent job, fellow. If your "crappy 8mp 1/4 inch sensor" can make footage as good as this, I can't imagine how you could do with the latest 1 inch sensor Xiaomi..

    But I have a question to you.. There are few pan shots in this video and they are pretty smooth. When i do pan shots on my xiaomi 12 it have judder while i move smartphone, but in your video it is not noticeable... Could you give an advice how to make panning shots with minimal judder like in your video?

    so what is most powerful? Motion cam on smartphone or Magic lantern on Canon EOS M, 5D etc ?

    • @Amit_Kattal
      @Amit_Kattal  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Ofcourse magic lantern. No matter how good smartphone cameras get, they are still very far behind a real camera atleast when it comes to achieving shallower depth of field

    • @stephanes.
      @stephanes. 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Amit_Kattal yes, shallow depth of field is impossible with smartphones. But with my 5D mark II I cannot get very high resolution and moreover it's line skipping. On a big screen it is very visible. But that DOF is great!

      Thank you. For noise reduction its trial and error. Its where i spend most of my time into. Keep playing with the options in davinci and you will find a sweet spot which works best for your footage. Also, all my shots where iso50 so that helps too and youtube also would kill little noise.

      Надо отдать разработчику приложения должное, его программа для конвертации видео в dng использует все 12 ядер процессора, а davinci resolve отлично кодирует видео с rtx видеокартой (примерно 1 минута примерно 10 минут на rtx 3060ti), хотя при этом съедает порядка 30гб оперативки. В общем да, затратный это процесс по мощности
