My first time watching Wicked this evening, took my children aswell. It was sooooo amazing. Lucie Jones blew my mind...such a beautiful and powerful voice.
i saw it yesterday for the first time ever and it was FANTASTIC. lucie was amazing, as was samantha thomas (who covered for glinda). we were meant to go on the 28th of december but i got covid so we rescheduled and were put in row p of the stalls when we were originally meant to be in the dress circle! a great view for a great show.
Lucie Jones is soooo good!!! I saw the show on 29 March with Charli as Glinda as well. Planning to watch Wicked again in June, I hope I'm lucky enough to see her that day. so desperate to see her Elphaba again🥺
I am a 13 year old student from the philippines and since child im so obsessed with theatre plays but havents seen one in 13 years i really wish to live in new york and so i can watch broadway shows everyday! :)))
They all look amazing!!! God bless the understudies. Noticed something interesting..... So now Dr. Dillamond is not in the Principal line during curtain call?!! He usually the first principal to bow at the end before Boq and Nessa come on together. What's also amazing about Lucie that she is the first actress that played Jenna in WAITRESS going backwards to playing Elphaba in WICKED. In the past with WAITRESS, there have been mainly actresses who got their start as "Elphaba" but retired and later went on to playing Jenna. Lucie is the first who went backwards.
Helen Wolfe was in the UK tour cast ( playing Glinda ) with Amy Ross (playing Elphaba) 2018-2019 and they were both outstanding, I saw the Uk tour many many times, as i am a huge Wicked fan. Cannot wait to see the new London cast soon. I'm also really shocked to hear about the Apollo Theatre's COVID policy with regards to changing tickets. Over the last 2 years i have had many shows changed and every theatre without exception has been very helpful in doing this, especailly ALW theatres who even re-booked all of my rescheduled shows on to the same weekend so i didnt have to travel down to London more than once ( i live up north) Totally agree, Apollo Theatre u need to re-think your policy. Can u buy tickets for Wicked London without buying it direct from the theatre, maybe thats the way to go.
Hi Sam! I was wondering if the Wicked merch can be sold during the interval at the stall you were at? Also there was a sign saying that the only take credit card, do you think they would except debit card.
I went to the new casts opening night. It was a great atmosphere. I completely agree about Lucie's acting. I really liked how she portrayed Elphaba. It was a more gentle & humble performance in act 1. Some previous actresses have portrayed Elphie as quite angry, which I've never liked that much. By Defying Gravity, you could tell Lucie's Elphie's good and kind nature had just had enough of everything she's been through & how people have treated her. I was equally impressed in act 2 too Willemijn Verkaik is my favourite ever Elphie. It's also great to have a theatre vlog from you again. Hopefully there'll be more

I’m looking forward to seeing Samantha barks in frozen, but I will certainly go see wicked eventually. I just don’t get the story lol. That’s what has held me back
I went to Lucie’s opening night and the staff said to me it’s not mandatory to wear a mask, the announcement has been there since wicked re opened they haven’t changed it

Saw the new cast last Wednesday, phenomenal! Lucie Jones was just incredible, she was truly born for that role as was Helen Wolf as Glinda!
