Just got myself one and the radio kept asking for the code so after watching this I will try it out myself to replace a new one hopefully it goes well as simple as seen in this video many thanks
In Note, starting in 2009, restyling R2, the head unit is removed in a completely different way. There are latches on the bottom that you first need to release, then just pull the panel up and towards you.
Was the stereo you added Bluetooth as I really want to get one for the Nissan note 2007 but am unsure on make and model Bluetooth stereo I would need to get?
Very helpful thanks. Just to note that I was able to (carefully) get the brass screw to go into a very budget Andven Bluetooth stereo. Holding up well.
Thank you for your video, i have the very same configuration with a 2006 nissan note. My question is very simple, can you convert and put a double din into this space ? I mean can remove the storage space above the single din slot ? Thank you for your help
Have you done a video clip on the 2009 Note 15G Four DBA-E11? My Note is a 2009 imported from Japan, and the stereo surround does not have the removable screw cover below or the two screws in the compartment above. I have spent days searching for information but every video clip and diagram is based on the model shown in this clip.
Hi PJ, great video very easy to follow. I have a question, I am going to replace my radio but how do I make sure the wheel controls work for the radio?
What watt output is good for the note the stereo it came with every now and then will blast out and it doesn't seem as loud as it should be for the volume it's on I'm think a loose connection but looking at a new stereo just wanted to know the output needed
Thanks for the great video!👌 I have an hissing noise issue with my nissan note 2008. I hear the noise from the tweeters. I searched a bit and a lot people saying that is from stereo grounding. Do you know any solutions for that? Do changing the speakers and tweeters with an aftermarket one will help?
I could only do videos based on what was booked in, I’m retired from the car electronic scene now, so only have a back catalog of videos I’m still uploading.
No they only work with the original radio unless you buy a steering control interface like the example below. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ANAlogz-SWC-5236-06-Steering-Wheel-Control-for-Sony-ISO-Radio-Nissan-Note-05-09/401430798969?hash=item5d7723e279:g:uEYAAOSwWY5ak-bQ
Hi PJ, how could I install a double din touchscreen stereo in to the note shown in your video? If so do you have any ideas where I would purchase the parts needed?
You should be able to use the original side mounting brackets on the new radio, just dummy them up and see which mounting holes line up the best,it's a case of getting it as good as because I can't find any full fitting kits for the car with a double din radio.
If I recall correctly it was the older version to the one below(radios get updated once a year so are no longer available after that). www.amazon.co.uk/Kenwood-kdc-bt720dab-Radio-USB-Black/dp/B077RY7T53/ref=sr_1_7?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1527844408&sr=1-7&refinements=p_89%3AKenwood
I just bought a BMW Z3 and found this head unit in the car. The old owner must have swapped it from one laying around. For the life of me I cannot figure out how installed however
1. Turn radio on 2. Use digits 1 to 4 to enter the code, example - if the first digit is 3 then press 1 three times. 3. Press and hold up on the white circle that has the radio tuning buttons.
PJ Sorry for asking a few questions lol . When you say Din D what do u mean by it ? Radio sizes range from a single din, a double din and a din and half ? So which one hold this car that you've just recorded? if you've got the sizes of this particularly radio in the video could u please give it to me ? Many thanks I have literally search everywhere for the size and radio name and cant find it.
The radio is single din,it's a standard size that is available from most makes such as Sony,Kenwood,JVC and many others. The one I fitted to this car is a Kenwood unit.
PJs projects thank you so much for your reply . I was so confused by the din d name thought u mean din double. I have a tricky radio to install with a touch screen , I don't think I will be able to do it myself , do you know any services that I can pay for tbem to install my radio ?
If you already own a radio then your going to need a local independent audio story with fitting services, the larger companies are only insured to fit item they sell so won't touch the unit you have. If you find a local place check out the reviews it's had on Google before booking your car in.
Same here. I have a Japanese assembled 2009, and every video clip shows the removable cover below and the two screws in the compartment above, making it look really easy. But my surround does not have screws above or the removable cover below. its very frustrating.
I managed figuring it out myself. So basically this entire thing is held together with clips. Just pull the entire thing out. You may require a flat head screwdriver and poke it in on the top and it should pop 1 of the clips. You can do the same for rest of the assembly
Try this - www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CTSNS004-2-Steering-Stalk-Control-Adaptor-Phone-Button-Support-For-Nissan-Note-/370772679125?epid=1425114384&hash=item5653c619d5:g:B-UAAOSw1GlZyQjh
Thank you for your reply. i was just wondering if that cable you've just shared will be needed for this (to keep steering wheel control) www.ebay.co.uk/itm/XTRONS-Android-6-0-Double-DIN-7-Car-Stereo-GPS-Sat-Nav-DAB-OBD2-WiFi-3G-Radio-/192048860166?hash=item2cb7010c06:g:B-IAAOSwQfpZtgS2 .I Havent bought it yet. I just want to plan everything beforehand.
Not a unit I have ever dealt with but it looks to be one of the Chinese none branded jobbies, so the item I linked for you should work plus the advert for that Chinese radio states steering controls work with it. Might be worth asking the seller if they supply steering controls that work with it just to be safe.
A few are available for your car but seeing as you mention your car is a 12 pin version then maybe this would help - www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mazda-Niss-Navara-Qashqai-Renault-Car-Radio-Iso-Stereo-Wiring-Connector-2007-on/153376502523?hash=item23b5f3b2fb:g:GUYAAOSwGMFcY94L
You could try Ebay,Amazon or a local car shop. Make sure to mention the year and if the car is import spec or not. This is a common example for the Nissan Note - www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Car-Stereo-Radio-ISO-Wiring-Harness-Connector-Adaptor-Cable-for-Nissan-Note/172755188075?epid=17006767100&hash=item283902f96b:g:GvUAAOSwbwJaHE~t
Thank you so much for this video! I managed to change my radio through your instructions and now love having music in the car!!!!! :) :) :)
Just got myself one and the radio kept asking for the code so after watching this I will try it out myself to replace a new one hopefully it goes well as simple as seen in this video many thanks

very easy to do and required no extra wiring. thank you for the information.
Great vid! Just got a note and was woefully unable to get the stereo out. Result!! Cheers
Thanks very much for this video. I fitted a new radio myself

Many thanks for your video. Made the whole process so much easier.
Really great video! Glad my cheap run about now has Bluetooth and dab and it didn't cost me anything! Need more instruction channels like this !👍
Great video. I need more videos for Model 2006.
Thank you. Helped me very much. Great simple video. Good job!
Great video. Did help me with my change of stereo to Nissan Micra. From standard cd player to one with usb mp3 player.
Very good, helpful and useful video, too bad that the steering wheel controls are no longer supported.
Do all new radios come with the cable harness?
Thank you for your video, i have the very same configuration with a 2006 nissan note. My question is very simple, can you convert and put a double din into this space ? I mean can remove the storage space above the single din slot ? Thank you for your help
This is what I want to do as well, but I'm not sure how/ can't find any guides doing it.

Ask your retailer for a steering control interface (they may need your reg number).
Thank you very much, u saved me
I did in 5 minute. Thanks to your video
Excellent video with very helpful explanation. Thanks

Top vid. Really helpful. Off to do my install now. Thanks!
Hey do you know if you can get a touch screen radio for this car the nissan note sve 07 plate
Thanks for the great video!👌
I have an hissing noise issue with my nissan note 2008. I hear the noise from the tweeters.
I searched a bit and a lot people saying that is from stereo grounding.

Can you do a vid where you fix the steering buttons on a different radio on this car
I could only do videos based on what was booked in, I’m retired from the car electronic scene now, so only have a back catalog of videos I’m still uploading.
Do steering Control buttons work after changing a radio into non- Nissan one?
No they only work with the original radio unless you buy a steering control interface like the example below.
www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ANAlogz-SWC-5236-06-Steering-Wheel-Control-for-Sony-ISO-Radio-Nissan-Note-05-09/401430798969?hash=item5d7723e279:g:uEYAAOSwWY5ak-bQ
Perfect 👌🏼 now I got it thank you so much ☺️
What screws are they mm?

Beats me why nissan decided to code the original units given they are such a mission to remove... great video though 👍
What's the model of the after market stereo? Also where could I get it from?
If I recall correctly it was the older version to the one below(radios get updated once a year so are no longer available after that).

Hello mate.
I have the same radio. My problem is the volume only comes up to 32, like a limiter? It is not loud enough for me, is there a fix?
Do you know if the 2005 Nissan Micra s is a single din? When I've measured it it seems to be slightly bigger than 2"x7"
It's a single din.
PJs projects cheers, made my day
Hi how do you put in the Radio code for a 2016 Nissan Micra once you have interconnected the battery please?
1. Turn radio on
2. Use digits 1 to 4 to enter the code, example - if the first digit is 3 then press 1 three times.
3. Press and hold up on the white circle that has the radio tuning buttons.
@@PJsprojects I don't have The code. How do I find it??
Thank you, very useful

Really useful video , and my car model is 2008 and i can't find any screw pieces on their, do you have any information for 2008 model?
Are the screws missing? also is it a UK spec car?
Mine is a 2008 nissan note and the trim is different. The top compartment doesnt have any screw. How do i remove the stereo?

Sorry, how does the steering stalk control adaptor connect to the radio? Thanks
how to connect steering wheel buttons?
How about a nissan note 2005? Do you have a video for it?
Cheers
I guess your looking at a pre 2005 model which up to now I have not had one in to video.
My nissan note looks different, I don't have the space above the cd player and no flap of platic underneath
I just tried, but I don't have an adapter cable with the connectors I need. My news radio has a 12 pin connector.
A few are available for your car but seeing as you mention your car is a 12 pin version then maybe this would help -

I have these thoughts, so often I ought
To replace that slot with what I once bought
'Cause somebody stole my car radio
And now I just sit in silence
Haha nice!
Where can I get a harness from
