Very helpful thanks. Just to note that I was able to (carefully) get the brass screw to go into a very budget Andven Bluetooth stereo. Holding up well.

In Note, starting in 2009, restyling R2, the head unit is removed in a completely different way.
There are latches on the bottom that you first need to release, then just pull the panel up and towards you.
Great video. Did help me with my change of stereo to Nissan Micra. From standard cd player to one with usb mp3 player.

I have an hissing noise issue with my nissan note 2008. I hear the noise from the tweeters.
I searched a bit and a lot people saying that is from stereo grounding.
Do you know any solutions for that?
Do changing the speakers and tweeters with an aftermarket one will help?
What watt output is good for the note the stereo it came with every now and then will blast out and it doesn't seem as loud as it should be for the volume it's on I'm think a loose connection but looking at a new stereo just wanted to know the output needed
Was the stereo you added Bluetooth as I really want to get one for the Nissan note 2007 but am unsure on make and model Bluetooth stereo I would need to get?
Have you done a video clip on the 2009 Note 15G Four DBA-E11? My Note is a 2009 imported from Japan, and the stereo surround does not have the removable screw cover below or the two screws in the compartment above. I have spent days searching for information but every video clip and diagram is based on the model shown in this clip.

Ask your retailer for a steering control interface (they may need your reg number).

Hi PJ, how could I install a double din touchscreen stereo in to the note shown in your video? If so do you have any ideas where I would purchase the parts needed?
You should be able to use the original side mounting brackets on the new radio,just dummy them up and see which mounting holes line up the best,it's a case of getting it as good as because I can't find any full fitting kits for the car with a double din radio.

No they only work with the original radio unless you buy a steering control interface like the example below.

Do you know if the 2005 Nissan Micra s is a single din? When I've measured it it seems to be slightly bigger than 2"x7"

What's the model of the after market stereo? Also where could I get it from?
If I recall correctly it was the older version to the one below(radios get updated once a year so are no longer available after that).

PJ Sorry for asking a few questions lol . When you say Din D what do u mean by it ? Radio sizes range from a single din, a double din and a din and half ? So which one hold this car that you've just recorded? if you've got the sizes of this particularly radio in the video could u please give it to me ? Many thanks I have literally search everywhere for the size and radio name and cant find it.
The radio is single din,it's a standard size that is available from most makes such as Sony,Kenwood,JVC and many others.
The one I fitted to this car is a Kenwood unit.

If you already own a radio then your going to need a local independent audio story with fitting services,the larger companies are only insured to fit item they sell so won't touch the unit you have.
If you find a local place check out the reviews it's had on Google before booking your car in.
Hi how do you put in the Radio code for a 2016 Nissan Micra once you have interconnected the battery please?
1. Turn radio on
2. Use digits 1 to 4 to enter the code,example - if the first digit is 3 then press 1 three times.
3. Press and hold up on the white circle that has the radio tuning buttons.

Mine is a 2008 nissan note and the trim is different. The top compartment doesnt have any screw. How do i remove the stereo?
Same here. I have a Japanese assembled 2009, and every video clip shows the removable cover below and the two screws in the compartment above, making it look really easy. But my surround does not have screws above or the removable cover below. its very frustrating.
I managed figuring it out myself. So basically this entire thing is held together with clips. Just pull the entire thing out. You may require a flat head screwdriver and poke it in on the top and it should pop 1 of the clips. You can do the same for rest of the assembly

I guess your looking at a pre 2005 model which up to now I have not had one in to video.
I just tried, but I don't have an adapter cable with the connectors I need. My news radio has a 12 pin connector.
A few are available for your car but seeing as you mention your car is a 12 pin version then maybe this would help -

Not a unit I have ever dealt with but it looks to be one of the Chinese none branded jobbies, so the item I linked for you should work plus the advert for that Chinese radio states steering controls work with it. Might be worth asking the seller if they supply steering controls that work with it just to be safe.

You could try Ebay,Amazon or a local car shop. Make sure to mention the year and if the car is import spec or not.
