I'm rewatching SAO again. I noticed a lot of people complain about the anime and a lot of animes. I like the anime as it is, but watching episode 1, I do feel I would have liked to see more of Kirito's story from the beginning. He started so scared, level one, unsure if he could even make it. I know doing so would change the entire anime, but I would have liked something like that to exist. Character development more closely matched like in Re zero.

If you're contemplating watching this show, let me ask you this: If you like anime with very fluid animation, fantastic, and I mean FANTASTIC story line, lovable and dorky but incredibly strong characters, you'll love this show. I remember reading somewhere that Asuna (female lead in the show) would make the best wife out of the entirety of anime. She's also just about as strong as Kirito (male lead), which you don't often see as some (not all!) girls in anime are portrayed as the 'oh-I'm-stuck-in-a-castle-come-save-me-prince-charming' kind of role. Overall, my only complaint with the show is that it's so short! They don't do a floor-by-floor each episode like the SAO progressive novels. But to anyone who's contemplating watching this, or even if you've never watched anime before, this is a great one to start with and stay with. My buddy who despises anime loves SAO. Personally, I prefer the first half of SAO 1 only, as the second half is less my style of gaming, but it's still very good nonetheless. SAO II (2) is great as well but a different style of gaming.

Looking back at this at the time underworld is launching is crazy! This escalated to a point in time where you can see it isn’t a game anymore, as it’s really in depth now. I’m really hyped for the new underworld part launching out, doubt nobody else is. Anyways - watching the trailer again expresses allot of emotion through out the years I’ve been seeing this anime in. It's not about dub quality, its about originality, and japanese is beautiful language. Most beautiful language in my opinion. So I would never put any quality/language dub to any japanese anime. It worked fine in Mushishi, since cant find the original voice and it was high quality tho.

Sword Art Online is an anime about people getting trapped in a video game. Yet for some people to be trapped in a video game is one of the most amazing things possible. Some people want to be forever trapped in a video game. In this anime it is also "If I die in the game I die in real life.", yet some video game fans would prefer that the last moments of their life would be in a video game rather than in real life... Personally i prefer that the last moments of my life would be with computer :)

Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash has a 1 Season show, although the light novels go much farther. I think it takes this idea of relationship development farther and it does it with a whole party of characters.

I remember watch SAO back in 2014 when my sister had introduced me into anime. SAO had been my favorite anime since and when I started watching alicization during Covid I got the feels back from this amazing anime and was lucky enough to experience the wait for alicization WoU Pt 2. I still miss SAOMD though and miss SAOARS(UB)

Most of them anyway. Those that spend five minutes building up with the charaters talking to each other, then are over in one single blow with lots of beams of light flying around, they're just silly.
Gui Caldo I don't know a full mechanic anime, but there's some steampunk things and great action in Attack on Titan. And Genos in One Punch Man is a pretty cool cyborg :) Also you can try to search for "darker" animes. Like the movie Akira, or some Miyasaki movies, like Nausicaa or The Flying Castle.

Type the name of the anime you want in the search list, and click the one that says (Dub). I use a computer, and a lot of ads pop up, and I have to click a couple pictures to ensure I'm human. There's so many animes, as differents as movies could be. I hope you gonna look for more animes, japaneses or not. I encourage you to try TOKYO GHOULS, and FMA Brotherhood, there are really good one. If you want more, don't hesitate to ask. :)
1995Macdevis Do you know any good and relatively modern, character-based mecha-animes, with fast-paced action scenes? I've watched a few fight scenes from Gundam, and they're amazing! Most of them anyway. Those that spend five minutes building up with the charaters talking to each other, then are over in one single blow with lots of beams of light flying around, they're just silly.
Gui Caldo I don't know a full mechanic anime, but there's some steampunk things and great action in Attack on Titan. And Genos in One Punch Man is a pretty cool cyborg :) Also you can try to search for "darker" animes. Like the movie Akira, or some Miyasaki movies, like Nausicaa or The Flying Castle.

@@KabooomandStuff What I meant was SAO was so popular back then that (I think) it encouraged other authors to make the same genre and setting as SAO, also I agree that hack sign was the first but it didn't became popular as SAO because it was released in a time where anime isn't even popular as it is now.

I watch all my anime on a website called Kiss Anime. Just type that in google, click on the first link, and wait for it to load. Type the name of the anime you want in the search list, and click the one that says (Dub). I use a computer, and a lot of ads pop up, and I have to click a couple pictures to ensure I'm human. It's a really good website, and as I said, I watch all my anime on that website.
