I post pictures from time to time to FB but that’s it. I have to find a starting point. I do take pictures of projects that I do but I no longer post them. So glad I seen your video I do Candy Buffet Decor Tables and it's time consuming from picking the right candy for a event to all the little details. I do DIY projects and it's very time consuming and hard work so much that I miss stuff with family. And yes you have to charge people and ask for what you think is fair. I compare it to if I was a auto repair shop I will charge for my labor and time as well as incorporate my gas for using my personal vehicle . I dont buy everything online somethings are purchase locally. I go to hobby lobby, Micheal's, Jo Ann Fabrics and the Christmas Tree Shop as well as different stores for certain candy. And candy is not cheap at all. Things can add up so yes I have no problem telling a customer this is what I charge. My candy Buffet Decor Tables is not just candy its lots of sweets with variety for everyone that attends. Im glad I seen your video many blessings to you in your business. And one more thing you will encounter people who want a hook up or a deal or want a glam event with no glam money and will try to waste your time . I guess that's what comes with event planning.

hello and happy new year to you and yours...I am where you were being a mom at home...I too have asked God the same question as to show me what is my purpose and passion at 40+...I too have done events at my church and got back good feedback...but I want to step out of the box and test the waters to get my feet wet in doing other events...the Spirit of the Lord led me to your channel on this subject so I see that He is preparing and giving me instructions in the how to...which I am truly grateful, thank you Father😇...ive come across your channel from time to time and you are a true blessing and I thank you...fear is a horrible mindset to have...I wanted to start a DIY TH-cam channel myself...but due to fear...it hasn't as of yet been established, but after hearing your story...I am going to stop settling and sit back and watch life go by...I am going to begin to put the enemy to flight..i am going to be more than a conqueror in this area of my life and show the devil he's a liar..I too am creative, gifted and worthy of my calling...I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me and fear have to go, in Jesus name...sometimes you have to encourage yourself...2017 is mine for the taking ☺...I shall do as instructed and see what God has in store for me...finding a mentor is a challenge in my area, but if TH-cam is the go to tool then so be it....God bless and many continued blessings be upon you and your business...again thank you kindly, beloved ☺

Hi. Can you comment what you actually charge for your events such as baby shower, wedding, birthday parties, etc. so I can use it as a guide. Because I am a beginner???
contact a couple event designers in your area and ask for a quote for a hypothetical event then use those prices as your guide. Pricing will depend on location and other factors.
That is the very best one to be Tamika!! Honestly after I do an event I feel emotionally drained because I give my heart in it. I under cut my price, extend my time which takes from my family. I throughly enjoy doing it them! I even find myself turning down jobs because of how I feel about it. I recently pinned my true feelings about it. Now it feels freeing but a blessing to know that if I want to do this I can. But it is the most important job in the world 💕💕. Thank you for watching! Be blessed!
