I miss the 80s so much. The bikes back then had so much mire character and personality. With a quick glance you could tell them all apart. They all look the same today.
No turbo rider, think?, Will ever forget, Hanging on for dear life, when the Boost gauge filled up, and Turbo, WOOOSH. Couriered on one 84, Really was a Planted High Speed Monster, Fantastic. March 19, chance to get a bike, no Kawasaki shops nearby, turned down a 07 CBR600RR, sight unseen, saw it, wanted it, just sold Bummer, looked really good to ride. But DANCER, got a 05 GSF 650 i. Bandit, at least 58, 59 times more biking joy, than the 750 turbo. Had Bandit for 19 months, acquired a PhD Masters Degree, in Bandit Torque Enjoyment only, nothing technical. Sadly now a HOPEFULLY only, semi retired Banditateer fekkin Banditaholic, ruined for any other bike, and I'm not even lying Yours Scott Loch. Na Professor Bandit 650 i. B.T.E. out.
Mate, I Facked up and sold mine, biggest biggest BIGGEST mistake ever of my life ever I swear. Your right mate considering Kawasaki designed and built the thing right from the get go to be what is/was. Mate I would give my starboard knacker to get my bike back and if someone was to say no more smoking I'd give up the durries as well. What ever you do don't sell ya bike and if you got no choice make sure you sell it to some one who will cherish it.
The best Japanese production turbo of the '80s no doubt. I owned a GPZ 1000RX in 1986, and later an FZR1000 exup but my mates turbo was just as quick and a better looking bike. Good old days when they did not all look the same. ZX10R looks just like an R1 or GSXR1000 to me whether they are quicker bikes or not than '80's bikes.
"Good old days when they did not all look the same."...sigh, remember when bikes all had their own personalities and foibles and weaknesses and strengths? I miss it. I had a z1000j and you had to fight the bloody thing through every corner. Loved it.
I own one of these rare beasts, but a todays modern performance 750 would eat it.Kawasaki doctored the video footage of the speedo and tacho pulling hard past 200k,i spoke to a few other Kawasaki 750 turbo owners who told me they just dont do that, yes they keep accelerating but not that quick.Reasonable handling for the day,way beefier frame around steering head and under the tank than a std GPZ.Nice boost but not over the top, easy to modify for wicked performance though.A real blast from the past.
Please sir could you put us all out of our misery and tell us the name of the musician and the name of the song? This song is inspiring and makes you feel alive. Thank you for the lovely post.Regards from down under.
I never noticed before, but at 1:06 you can see that the last segment (a red triangle) of the boost meter is NOT on. That's normal for a stock bike, but I'd have thought that Kawi might have increased the waste-gate activation point by a few PSI for the demo bikes. At any rate, it's an easy enough 'fix.' :)
@09YellowR1 I had it set up by Wayne Gardeners ex-mechanic in Wollongong Australia of all people, I was probably expecting too much, expected to be able to go round corners at 150mph, never did like, but I was in australia, so those were the sppeds I was travelling.
Don' t understand it the bike on this video appears to be handling, mine did not was a terrible liability on a corner, yet no problem in a straight line. Loved it but deadly.
Song what song,no singing so its music.Love the exaggeration on the speedo,i own one of these bikes and they dont accelerate from 120 to 150mph as quick as that, more like half that speed of youre lucky. American advertising lol.

I have one and it is still awesome. A bike way ahead of its time.

Kawasaki, always ahead
well this sleeper today..would astonish all the new 1000 class bikes by going side by side
amen to that brother.
gpz 750 great old motobike
I Loved mine C33 YRW
TREMENDOUS BIKE !
Celle qui restera ma préférée.....une moto unique...
Ces motos avaient du caractère. Ça vibrait, ça bougeait, on sentait les choses.
En plus, ça envoyait vraiment fort. :D
Owned one for 10 yrs ....sold it regrettably....ALL bikes I rode after were a disappointment.........
Had mine for 5 years and nothing looks as good on the move or sounds like a jet taking off.
Wonderful memories

Era una maravilla acelerar a fondo
haha I love the music ^^

@harrogateweddingcars Was your suspension setup to you?

Isnt this just the factory launch vid dubbed over to replace the cheesy period narrative?
Not as pretty as a 900r, but more interesting and exciting for sure.
