Awesome supplies they sent you. Can’t wait to see how you use them. The cutting mat and ruler are perfectly fine to use with a rotary cutter. These are tough rulers and work great with rotary cutters. I use these rulers all the time to cut fabric and no problems. The cutting mat works great for all type of cutting tools. Been using the same mat and ruler for over 5 years and no cutting grooves in the mat and ruler is fine. I cut my fabric with a rotary cutter. So cut all you want to and it will work fine. Hugs! On to watch part 2.
Oh that sketch paper tea dyed so well, I love the yellow brown hues. I am so happy to see you playing with your Arteza goodies. Love your paint mixes, makes me want to finger paint lol. Off to part 2 - hugs!! :-)
The ruler is perfectly fine to cut with, using your rotary cutter Tracie ( quilting rulers don't have a metal edge, and they work fine, I am also a quilter so you are good to go lovey ) xo
I just recently found our channel through Gayle A. I love your style of journal making. So much fun watching you go through the process. I also like that you are willing to show how you've made mistakes and fixed them. It's very helpful since we all do that. ;) Looking forward to watching the rest of this series.
The cutting mat and ruler are what quilters use along with a rotary cutter. As far as I know, there are no rulers with metal edges for quilters. The only acrylic ruler I've seen with a metal edge is Tim Holtz'.
The paint is covering really well. Good colour combination too. The paper is expensive but you pay for what you get. The covers are really sturdy too xxx. Looking forward to part two xx
I love Arteza Paints, Hubby got me a box of 48 for Christmas, I then purchased Pastels love those. It's an amazing company when only ask for three items & they send you over & above., looking forward to seeing this project.
Love the paper pad you are using. I have several of there pads and some of the stamps. I do love the paper. Also I use my rotary cutter with my craft rulers and have not had any problems so far.
How fantastic...and so much fun!! I've had a LOT of fun with the Arteza Real Brush Pens, watercolouring flowers in my junk journal. I'll be watching your next episode. And it's interesting to see products that are new and different:) So thank you Tracie, joie xxxx
Congratulations Tracie!!! I’m excited to watch these journals come together!!! Love the sketch paper - such a shame - it would cost a small fortune in postage to be able to access it here. Maybe one day!!! I think it would an awesome weight for a journal page. Hugs, Sharon 🌷💜
Oh I got some tubes of this paint for Xmas.... Still not used them, so nice to see they cover well I bought them for gel printing with. I got brush pens too that I really need to try out as well.... Not enough hours in the day ha ha!! I wanted the cutting mat but it kept being out of stock... I will try again I think... Lovely to see you back again nowxx 😁😘
Oh wow, that paper looks amazing tea dyed. I have some sketchbook papers that I got for Gelli Printing and never even thought about tea/coffee dying them (another thing to add to the list!) - Looking forward to watching this new series, it's good to see you back again :) xxx
I am embarrassed to admit that I've been using wire cutters and frustration to remove spirals from notebooks lol! So thank you for the life-changing spiral removal tip! xo Emily
OMGOSH Tracie, thats amazing!!! congratulations you totally deserve it!!! i just went back and watched some of the painting and mixed media videos and i am so excited!! i love doing mixed media on canvases and in altered books because i love books and i love doing mixed media. i would love it if i could share in your facebook group. THAT is a beautiful, amazing set of paints!!!!! good for you girl!! i cant wait to see you play with them
lovely! I'm enjoying seeing this. The few Arteza items I have always work well, my fav water brushes are from them & I've recently got a pack of there ordinary watercolour paper pads that seem to work well to :) Oh, the list on your blog is blank for me atm, so can I ask what scrapbook paper that is? I do believe I need it in my stash!
My mom always used a rotary cutter with her rulers like that. Allows you to see through and make sharp edges. Should be good with that but watch an exacto knife. Will gouge it...heh dont ask how I know. Rofl
Good to see you filming again! Those items look very nice. Love the tea stained paper for sure. Did you do anything to prep the covers before painting?
Not for these. I would usually sand slightly but they were not shiny and I would also varnish too but didnt on these. I will be honest...Time is a little too short for me right now. :-O xx
@@TracieFoxCreative Got it. Would Gesso work, or would sanding be best? I have book covers, but haven't been brave enough to try them yet. I've always had bad luck with acrylic paints chipping and peeling off stuff not properly prepared....

Oh WOW, I'm in love! I just tried to purchase the paper pad and used Your "promo code" and it wouldn't take the code. TFS! Judyxx
Quilting ruler is meant to be used with a rotary cutter so as a quilter as well I will be interested in how it works
I have a variety of quilting rulers. They are to be used for accurate rotary cutting. Best thing ever for using with rotary cutter.
These rulers are used with a rotary cutter. If you make sure to hold the cutter totally upright it will not cut the ruler. 🧡
that is - hold the blade upright - or flush with the edge of the ruler .
Thank you huni x
Great ideas and love the pad but couldn’t find the link for it from your page? Sorry Tracie not very good with technology any more. 😍

You don’t need a metal edge for a rotary cutter.
