Why is it after awhile they make a huge spark? im almost afraid that its going to get to the battery. Sometimes it even tears the bms metal bar and makes it difficult to weld.

You are probably pushing too hard on the metal you are attempting to spot weld. Has happened to me. Just do not push down so hard.

@@fbnmndz I just noticed that it's when you don't press hard enough that big sparks occur, I just tested on a bms and no spark when I press hard

I did about 20 devices so far. most of them iphone 11. I charged them all to 100%, then let them sit for a day or so. 6 of them dropped to 10% (all were exactly 10%), after reboot they went back to 80%. I have 3 questions, have you seen this issue before? Do you think it is related to a poor spot weld? and should i leave the tag-on flex in the device? (I left it in on all the devices). None turned off, just went down to 10%. Looking at the battery data in settings showed a steep drop from ~90% to 10%. Let me know what you think and any suggestions on how I might resolve it. I rebooted them and will give a few more days for testing to see if it happens again.

You may need to double-check your weld. A good tip is to NOT press down on the tips so much. Just a light contact gives you a solid weld, instead of pressing down so hard. Also, check the batteries. We have used different brands, and these turned out the ones with zero issues, as well as their programmer........ www.injuredgadgets.com/search/?q=bms&acc=28b791d60cb7bb8ef337d13b65f4d7a6 With these, you never have to leave the tag on. And with their programmer, you can also update the tag-on firmware, with is so AWESOME!
