Sir Simon Rattle announces the 2014/15 season of the Berliner Philharmoniker

At their annual press conference in April 2014, the Berliner Philharmoniker and chief conductor Sir Simon Rattle announced their plans for the 2014/2015 season, including the concerts international audiences can see in the Digital Concert Hall. Once again there are 40 concert broadcasts planned -- with conductors and soloists representing a who's who of the classical music world today. One can't help but to express regret in sigh. Here in America classical music is an afterthought but in Germany, it is as mainstream as any given pop music art form.
