Very nice pattern but I typically avoid tying with deer hair, therefore I tie my sculpin patterns with craft fur and dumbell eyes, however what I will take away from this video and most def apply is the fantastic and brilliant weighted formula executed with the looped piece of mono. An ingenious and yet low profile and inconspicuous application. Thank you for sharing.
Absolutely beautiful, poetry in motion. Thanks for an awesome video. Does the weedgard really work that well. Doesn't seem like a heavy fly. Nice job thiugh.
Hi buddy, yes it works when you dont need to add too much weight to the fly, we mostly fish with full sinking lines in patagonia argentina, so we dont need a very heavy fly all the time
i have worked hard to tie this pattern when i got it just right swim good looks great my wife wanted to know why i put a tick on the bottom of my mouse
Thanks a lot my friend!! I will be tying in November in NJ at the International Fly Tying symposium, there are only 10 places for the class, if you like to be there let me know and i will save you a place. Best regards!!
